[00:00:01] Thank you for tuning in to the World Changers Church Gold Coast Podcast. Grab your Bibles and settle in as we dive into this special series. Welcome to day two of our seven days of prayer and fasting. Today we're looking at awakening to a life of faith and intercession. Our scripture for today is from Romans chapter 1, verses 8 to 10. So grab your Bibles as we get ready to read the Word of God.
[00:00:26] First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you because your faith is proclaimed in all the world. For God is my witness, whom I serve with my Spirit in the Gospel of His Son, that without ceasing, I mention you always in my prayers, asking that somehow, by God's will, I may now at last succeed in coming to you.
[00:00:48] Paul's words in Romans show us that the heart of a true believer, one who is deeply thankful, one that is committed to prayer and dedicated to the encouragement of believers. He consistently interceded for fellow believers, longing to strengthen them in their faith. A life awakened to God is a life of faith and intercession. Faith is not just personal, it is meant to be lived out in a way that encourages others and prayer is a powerful tool God has given us to stand in the gap for those around us. Today let us commit to deepening our faith and covering others in prayer, just as Paul did.
[00:01:29] Pray with me today. Dear Lord, awaken me to a deeper faith in you.
[00:01:36] Let my life be a testimony of your goodness and grace.
[00:01:42] Teach me to intercede for others faithfully, lifting them up in prayer and encouraging them in their walk with you.
[00:01:51] Help me to be a source of strength, of hope and of love to those around me. Let my faith be active and my prayers be effective, bringing glory to your name.
[00:02:06] In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
[00:02:10] Today, think of three people that you can pray for and write them down. Commit to praying for them for this week.
[00:02:17] If possible, perhaps send them a message of encouragement. I know that would be a blessing to them.
