[00:00:00] Thank you for tuning in to the World Changers Church Gold Coast podcast. Grab your Bibles and settle in as we dive into this special series.
[00:00:08] Welcome to day one of our seven days of prayer and fasting. Today we're looking at awakening to a life of fullness in the Holy Spirit. Our scriptures for today are from the book of Acts, chapter 6, verse 3 and 5, and Acts 7:55. So grab your Bible and take a moment to turn to that page as we get ready to read the Word of God starting in Acts 6:3, 5. Therefore, brothers, pick out from among you seven men of good repute, full of the Spirit and of wisdom, whom we will appoint to this duty. But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. And what they said pleased the whole gathering. And they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit.
And now turning to Acts 7:55. I'll give you a moment.
But he, full of the Holy Spirit, gazed unto heaven and saw the glory of God and Jesus standing at the right hand of God.
Stephen was chosen to serve not because of his skills alone, but because he was full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom. His life was marked by faith and power and boldness, even in the face of persecution. Being full of the Holy Spirit means being led by him daily. It means living in God's wisdom and walking in spiritual strength. In Acts 7, Stephen was facing death, but his eyes were fixed on Jesus. Instead of fear, he was filled with heavenly vision and the power of the Holy Spirit. His life challenges us. Are we walking in the fullness of God's Spirit? Are we seeking his wisdom daily? When trials come, do we look to Jesus or focus on our own circumstances? Today, God is calling us to be awakened to a life of fullness in His Holy Spirit, one that is bold, wise and unshakable in its faith. Would you pray with me today, Lord?
Awaken me to a life filled with your spirit.
I don't want to rely on my own strength and wisdom.
I need you, Lord. Fill me with boldness. Fill me with faith, Fill me with wisdom. Just as you did Stephen.
Help me to keep my eyes fixed on you even in the face of challenges.
Let my life be a testimony of your power and of your presence in Jesus name. Amen.
Today, ask God to fill you with His Holy Spirit in a fresh way. Write down some areas in your life where you need more of his wisdom, more of his boldness and more of his strength.
