Show Notes

Unshakeable faith is not built on circumstances but on being rooted and established in Christ. This message calls believers to shift focus from the instability of the world to the unchanging truth of God’s Word. When identity, purpose, and perspective are anchored in Jesus, distraction, fear, and deception lose their grip. Through abiding in Him, meditating on His Word, and walking in step with the Holy Spirit, peace becomes the ruling authority. The invitation is to live planted, to stand firm, and to carry hope into a shaken world as witnesses of an unshakeable Kingdom.

[00:00:00] Welcome to the World Changers Church Gold Coast Podcast. Join us as we listen to today's message. [00:00:06] Amen. Hallelujah. You guys enjoy worship this morning? Amen. You know, you might see me jumping and dancing up here, and it's because about eight years ago, I had a motorcycle accident and I broke every bone in this leg. And they told me that I might never walk without a cane. They told me that I may have to lose my leg. And I'm standing here before you by the grace of God, because I was healed by him. And I tell you, when I have every opportunity to dance, when I have every opportunity to praise, when I have every opportunity to run around for the Lord, I'm gonna do it. Because I'm here because of him. Hallelujah. You hear what I'm saying? Do you see me dancing up here? It's because he did it. Amen. So all glory belongs to him. Amen. You guys excited for the word? You excited for the word? Amen. Amen. So the message title today is called Unshakeable. Unshakeable. I know. This world feels like it's shaken, you know? I know, I know. You know, quick testimony. I'm telling myself a little bit before we get started. This morning, I was at the petrol station. Oh, don't say that word. You're gonna trigger me. You're gonna trigger the whole church. Don't trigger the church, man. Oh, hallelujah. But I was at it the other day, and I'm pumping my gas and I'm having a rant, man. Like, I'm just having a rant. So unholy. And I go and I pay my bill and you know, make a sly comment to the guy. It's not his fault, man. Like, it's not his fault. But I'm like, anyway, I'm not going to tell you what I said. I'm coming back. I'm coming back, you know, huffing and puffing because I've had to pay. And praise God, I can pay for it. Hallelujah. Thank you, Jesus. And I get back to the car, and there's another guy. He's filling his gas. And you know when the Holy Spirit's like, don't say it. Just keep your mouth shut. I was like, I gotta say something right here, man. And I'm like, hey, man, how about them actual prices, dude, man, he looks at me and we just, like, for five minutes, we just have a rant, man. We're just totally just making each other feel good. But it was so bad. And I Get in the car. And I'm driving off. And, man, you know when God just immediately, like, hits you, man, and he didn't even say anything. It was just. You know, when your father just goes, mm, he just gives you that dad look. I do it with my son all the time. I don't even have to say anything. I just look at him and he's like. Gets all sheepish. That was. That was what happened in the car, man. I just felt like God was just looking at me with a dad look, right? Just looking at me with a dad look. And I went, okay, Lord, I'm sorry. Teach me. Teach me, Holy Spirit. Teach me how to have joy in this season. Teach me how to have peace in this season, Lord. Teach me how to look to you in this season, Lord. Teach me how to be unshakable. How to be unshakable. And that's what I want to talk to you guys about. It's all fun and games. I know we've all done it. But God wants to teach us through this season, and he wants to remind us through this season that we are in an unshakable kingdom. And because we are in an unshakable kingdom, we are founded on something that's unshakable. And his name is Jesus Christ. So my hope, my heart, this morning is to encourage you and to remind you of that truth that God still sits on the throne, that God is not fazed or shaken by what's going on in this world. And because we are in Christ, we can be unshakable, too. Amen. Is that good? When you know God's character, and when you are in Christ, you won't be moved by what's around you. We are living in a world of distraction, uncertainty, and turmoil. But like I said, God has been showing me some amazing things in the scripture that I want to share with you today. If we are not firmly planted in our position in Christ, here's the three things that will happen. We'll either forget our identity. We'll be moved from our identity. We'll be distracted from our purpose, or worse yet, we'll be deceived. Those are the three things that happen when we're not rooted and grounded and positioned in who we are in Christ. Amen. Let's look at this at Psalms 1:1:3 together. Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers, but they delight in the law of the Lord. Meditating on it Day and night, they are like trees. Planted. Everyone say planted, say planted. I know. It's like everyone's got a different accent. Planted, Planted. Planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves stay with me. Their leaves never. Oh, man. Tongue twister. Their leaves never wither and they prosper in all that they do. Let's go back to verse one real quick. Oh, the joys. Does anyone want joy in this house this morning? Somebody want some joy, they want some joy. Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked. Man, there is so much talk going on in this world right now, so much advice, so much opinion in this world. A lot of it is not from God, and that the whole, I would say almost all of it is not from God. So as Christians, as people who are unshakable, are grounded, are planted, we need to be able to rightly divide. We need to be able to discern what is from God, what is from the spirit of God and what is not. So it says that. Don't follow the advice of the wicked or stand around with says man. Who are you listening to? Who are you standing around with? Amen. Or join in with mockers. What are you saying, man? I was me at the petrol station. That's why this hit me so hard. Yeah. Anyway, telling on myself, verse two. But they delight. Everyone say delight. I delight in the law of the Lord meditating on it day and night. Where's your focus? Right, and then verse three. This is what happens when we do that. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit in each season. No matter the season, y', all, no matter the season that we find ourselves in. We can bear fruit. We can bear fruit. And you know why it's important that you bear fruit every season? Because the Bible says that they shall taste and see that the Lord is good. And what are they tasting? I want to taste the fruit of your righteousness, the fruit of your relationship, the fruit of your abiding. As Paddy said this morning in huddle in Christ, their leaves never wither and all they do will prosper. Meaning that you will be supplied with everything you need. Your leaves will never wither, right? So you'll have all the source that you need, all the watering that you need. The living water lives within you, right? Sustaining you. And you will prosper in all that you do. Not some of the things you do, all of the things that you do is that good. Let's give Jesus praise for the word of God. Amen. Thank you, Lord. Amen. Unshakable. Everybody say, I am unshakable. Here's the truth. God's word doesn't change, but we can take our eyes off of him and what he's promised. That's the reality of it. He never changes. We can get distracted. Times and seasons will change, but God never does. His Word stands forever. Let's look at this in Isaiah 48. We've got some scriptures this morning that I hope and pray are going to encourage you. Look at this in Isaiah 48. The grass withers and the flowers fade, but the Word of God stands forever. Look at this in Psalms 119:89. Your word, your eternal word, O Lord, stands firm in heaven. The world changes, seasons change, but God's Word remains. God's Word remains. It never changes. It never shifts. So no matter what's going on out there, the opinions, the talk, you have an eternal truth, an eternal word from the Lord that never changes. It stands firm in heaven. And so we're going to go through some of those words this morning that you can stand on and you can know the character of God and and know that he is faithful to that Word. You can be that tree planted every say, I'm planted next to the living water. You can prosper. You can have the fruit in season. You can have a leaf that never withers because you have an eternal word. Amen. Hallelujah. Is this good? Hallelujah. So it does no good to fret or worry about the things that we have no business being concerned with. Mind your business. We are to be the tree planted by the living waters. Here. Ready? God's Word and our mission doesn't change with the political climate or the current world issues. God's Word and our mission never changes. We have been set apart. Everyone say, I'm set apart. I'm called out. I'm sent. Amen. You are to continue the ministry that Jesus started. What is that ministry? Reconciling the lost to our Heavenly Father, freeing captives and revealing Christ to the world, and bringing hope to the lost and broken. That mission doesn't change with the times or the seasons. It doesn't change with the opinions of man. God's Word doesn't change. Our mission is the same. It is to reconcile people back to the heart of God. Jesus said when he came to this earth, he said, I am about my Father's business. He said, if you've seen me, you've seen the Father. He said, I came to reveal the Father. And that mission is now a co mission with you and I with the Holy Spirit, with the Father, to go out and do the exact same thing. It is to reconcile the lost to our Heavenly Father. It is to free the captive from captivity. It is to open the eyes of the blind. It is to set at liberty them that are bruised. Right? It is absolutely the same mission and it doesn't change with what's going on on nine News. So let's look at this, let's look at this at Acts chapter 1, 6, 8. Everyone say, I'm unshakable. I'm planted in Christ. Hallelujah. Do you believe it? Yeah. Well, let's go. I believe that you believe it. I absolutely believe that you believe it. You guys are the set apart ones. You guys are the called out ones. Thank you, Jesus. Let's look at this in Acts chapter 1, 6, 8. Therefore, when they had come together, they asked them. So a little bit of, a little bit of background. Jesus has resurrected and he's been spending some time with his disciples. He's been seen by over 500 eyewitnesses. And right now they're standing on the mount and he's about to ascend back up to heaven and he's giving them kind of the final words, which is by definition a pretty important thing that we want to take note of. Right? What did Jesus say right before he ascended back to the Father? So therefore they had come together, they asked him, saying, lord, well, at this time, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel, Lord? Is this when it's all going to get worked out, Lord? Is this the time when it's all going to be right? Is this the time when everything's going to be good with the world and we're going to just reign and rule and it's going to be awesome. Is this the time, Lord? And look what Jesus says. And he said to them, it is not for you to know the times or the season which the Father has put in his own authority. And in verse 78 he says, but you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you. And you shall be my witnesses to me in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. So they asked him, lord, is this the time when you're going to sort it out? And. And he said, it's not for you to know. Mind your business. It's not for you to know about that. This is what you need to know. These are the last words Jesus said before he went back to the Father. He said, you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you for a purpose. What is that purpose? To be my witnesses, he says, in the whole world. So they're asking him, jesus, are you coming back? Are you going to sort this out? Lord, is this the time? And Jesus said, don't worry about that. I'm gonna give you power and you're gonna be my witnesses. That's all you need to focus on. That's all you need to be worried about. That's all you need to be about is your Father's business. So no matter what's going on in this world, you have a word from God that says, be a witness. Don't be like me at the petrol station. Don't be a mocker. Be a witness. Be a witness about Christ. Tell that man, you know what? I know it's hard right now, but I'll tell you what. I've got a hope that goes beyond this world. I can see something that maybe you don't see. Let me tell you about Him. His name is Jesus. And he sustains me. And he gives me hope when there's hopelessness. And he has brought me from this place to this place now. And he's given me something that no one can take from me. Not this world, not the prime minister, not anybody. No one can take this from me. I have an eternal life in heaven with Him. Amen. Do you want to know that? Do you want to know about that? Can I give you that? Amen. Trust me. I had that conversation. I was like, oh, Lord, man, I missed it. I missed it. Let's look at the same passage of scripture in the message. You ready? I love this. What are we focused on? He says, then when they were together for the last time, they asked, master, are you going to restore the kingdom to Israel now? Is this the time he told them? You don't get to know the time. Timing is the Father's business. What you'll get is the Holy Spirit. And when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, you will be able to be my witnesses in Jerusalem, on, all over Judea and Samaria, even to the ends of the world. How good is that? So you don't get to know the time, but what you do get is the Holy Spirit. That's better. That's better than wanting to know. You don't need to know what the time is. You don't need to know what the season is. You don't need to know what's going on out there. You got the Holy Spirit and you got power to be a witness. So forget about what we're going through. Forget about what's going on and be a witness. Lean into the Holy Spirit, receive His power, and start telling people about the truth about Jesus. Amen. Stop being that salt and light. The issue is not what's happening around us, it's what's established within us. The issue is not what's going on around us. It's what's established within us. There is a reason the Bible says, look to Jesus. Abide in Jesus and trust in Jesus. Look at this. In Colossians 3:16, it says, Let the spoken. Let the word. Let the word spoken by Christ the Messiah have its home in your hearts and minds. Wow. Let the word about Jesus have its home in your heart and your mind. Let it dwell in you in all its richness as you teach and admonish and train one another in all insight and intelligence and wisdom, in spiritual songs, in spiritual things as you sing psalms and. And hymns and spiritual songs, making melody to God with His grace in your hearts. Let's go in the nlt. I want to break this down for you guys. Let the message about Christ in all its richness. Oh, fill your lives. See that? Let the message about Christ in all its richness fill your lives. Not the message of the world, not the message of the news. The message of Christ fill your life. Teach and counsel each other with all wisdom he gives. Stop listening to your mom and them. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom that he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. God is showing us in these scriptures, guys, that what we focus on, we give power to. We've heard that before. And God is saying, let the message about Jesus be the thing that you meditate on. When we looked at Psalms 1, it says, Meditate on His Word day and night, and then you shall be prospered. Then your leaf will not wither. Then you will fulfill all the things that God has for you, right? Saying, let the message about Christ fill your heart. Let the message about Christ be the thing that you lean into, listen to, soak in, meditate on. And it says there, it'll fill your life. It'll fill your life with joy. It'll fill your life with peace. It'll fill your life with hope, Right? Because what's that other stuff filling our life with despair, discouragement, worry. And how's that working out? Not great, right? But we are the people that get to bring something different to this world. We are the people that get to stand like a city on a hill. We are the people that get to be the witnesses. We are the people that get to show them something that this world cannot offer. Not what we offer them, what Christ offers them through us, the transformation that's taken place in our hearts and our lives. Why are you so full of joy? How come you don't worry about these things, man? I was a bad witness at the petrol station. I'm gonna be honest, man. I was a bad witness, so I'm not coming up here condemning y'. All. I was a bad witness, but Jesus showed me that every day is an opportunity to share his love. Every moment is an opportunity to bring someone closer to God. Every moment, every day. Amen. Yeah. Thank you, Jesus. Let's go to verse one of the same chapter in Colossians verse three says, since you got it, bro, Colossians 3:1:4. Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God's right hand. Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth. Check this out. For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God. And then when Christ, who is your life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in his glory. Amen. How powerful is that? That brings me back to the very first point that I had today. What is established in you? Is this truth established in you? Is the truth that you've been raised to new life with Christ? Is that truth established in you? Is the truth that you can look to Jesus, you can have a relationship with Jesus, you can abide in Jesus? Is that established in you that you have a hope that goes beyond this eternal life, this temporary life, I should say this mortal life? Is that truth established in you? Is God's word established with you in you? Or is the latest social media trend established in you? Because I'll be honest, man, like, I'm. I'm as guilty as everybody else of just being like, oh, what's going on? What's going on? And then getting sucked into the vortex of that and being so, like, despair and discouraged and going, oh, yeah, that's right, Jesus. But I wish that I could just. And I am working on this. Like, one of the things God's worked on with me is like, I'm done with social media. Like, I'm absolutely done with it. I wouldn't even have it if I didn't have to keep up with my son's basketball games. I'd be so done with it. But because I have it, it's A temptation. So I'm getting rid of it, and I'm gonna put it on a different device that I have to purposely go and get to look at anything. Cause I'm just done with it. Cause it just doesn't do any. It doesn't bear fruit in my life. It brings death to my life. Right. And so instead, I want to get in the Word of God. I want the eternal Word to be speaking to me. I want the message about Christ and all its fullness and its richness fill my life. I don't want that other stuff filling my life. But that's a decision that I have to make. And that's something that the Holy Spirit's been ministering to me on. And each of you have to have your own relationship with the Holy Spirit. And he's got to speak to you and say, hey, you're spending too much time in this. Come spend some time with me in the Word. Or he's saying, hey, you need to put that down for a season and come spend some time with me. That's a relationship between you and God. I can't answer that question, Pastor. Can't answer that question. That's something that you and the Lord have to sort out between you. And there's probably some people in here like, man, I'm not even on social media. I'm on my word, like, eight hours a day. Hallelujah. I am so, so blessed that you are in this church. Amen. But what is it that God's asking you to put down so that you can have more of Him? Yeah. Amen. Let's look in Colossians 2, 6, 7. Everybody say, I am established in Christ. Amen. So let's read this together. And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Here it is. Let your roots go down into him and let your lives be built on Him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness. It's that same truth again. Let your roots go down into him. What are you established in? What are you planted on? Let your roots go down into him. Let your lives be built on him, and then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught. This is what God's been ministering to me. What are you planted in? Where are your roots? What are you sowing into? What are you establishing yourself in? Because I want my faith to grow strong in the truth. Yeah. I don't want my faith to grow strong in the latest trend or Some preacher that's got a 20 second sound bite that sounds good, but it's not rooted or established in any truth. I want my faith to grow strong in the truth that I was taught. What truth are we talking about? Who Christ is. What he did for us on the cross, who we are because of that. Now pastor just did an amazing series on righteousness and what that means to us as believers. So our roots going down into him. Look at that. Into Him. Our roots go down into Him. And I'll be honest, my roots have been going down into other things and it's not bringing me life. And the leaves are withering on my tree and I'm getting more upset about things and I'm getting more angry about things and I'm getting frustrated about things. And my, my attention span is wavering and I'm not as focused as I would. Why? Because I'm not planted in the right thing. I'm not established in Him. But when I do establish myself in him. And you know what it's like almost instant too, by the way. Like I can. It's almost like as soon as I decide to pull my roots up out of that death pot and put them into this Christ pot, I couldn't think of anything better. Instantly I feel nourished, I feel refreshed, I feel strengthened, I feel empowered. Joy starts to come into my life. Peace starts to come into my life. You know what I'm saying? Amen. Juels was laughing because she got it in the. She saw that in the Spirit, this picture. Amen. Thank you, Jesus. So when we, when we. The Bible like that scripture says that let your roots go down into him. And if we go into the next verse. Do we have the next verse? Timmy? I think it's verse seven. Or maybe it's the one before it. Yeah, go to verse six. It says, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, continue in him. How did we receive Jesus? By faith, by surrender, by repentance. We received Jesus by faith. Right? We didn't have to earn it. We didn't have to deserve it. We didn't have to do anything for it. And it says in the same way that you accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior. It says, continue to follow him in that same way. By faith, not by works, by surrender, by saying, not my will, but your will be done, Jesus. And walking after him, trusting him, relying on him, abiding in him, looking to him. And when we do that, like I said, when we pull ourselves out of that dead pot and we put ourselves into this life giving pot of Christ, something amazing happens. Look at this. In John chapter 14:27, he says, I'm leaving you a gift. Peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. You can't get it from the death pot. This is working really well as an image. You cannot get it from the death pot. You have to get it from this one over here, which is Jesus. You have to get it from being planted and rooted and established in Jesus. Right. And the result is that fear falls away. Do not be troubled or afraid. You don't have to live in fear. You don't have to live in uncertainty or doubt or turmoil. Because you have an everlasting kingdom. You have a promise. You have an eternal word. Amen. Same thing in Colossians 3:15. Look at this. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your heart. For as members of one body, you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful. I got it in the amplified. It looks awesome. Ready? I think Tim. Bum, bum, bum. No? All right, I'll read it out. And let the peace, soul harmony, which comes from Christ's rule. Ready? And act as an umpire continually in your hearts, deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your mind. So when that. When you're planted in the Christ pot and peace is starting to rule your life, it acts like an umpire in your heart deciding. Nope, that's not good. I don't want that. Yep, you can spend more time doing that one. Yeah, that's gonna probably get you off your purpose. Don't go to that one. Yep, definitely spend time with that person. Cause they're gonna build you up in your faith. When the peace of God rules in your heart, it acts like an umpire, deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds. That's awesome. So how do we get that peace? We just looked at that. Do you guys remember what I said? Being planted, established, grounded in Jesus. In the truth about who Jesus is. Right. And the truth of who he says you are. Amen. If you are established in Christ, you will not be moved by circumstances, but ruled by peace. Even in the storm. Even in the storm. Amen. Okay, so we've established all that, but yet we still live in the world. And yet. I'll be honest, I'm not always ruled by peace. That umpire maybe has a vacation or having a drinks break. Where's Marty? He's having a drinks break. Marty's asleep. He's having a drinks break. But the attack is always on God's word. Yeah. Sorry. Hey. Whoop. Come back here. Come back here. Come back here. Come back here. Boom. So. So. Thank you, Jesus, Holy Spirit, thank you for your presence, Lord God. Thank you, Holy Spirit, for realigning and Lord God, keeping me on track. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you for your peace, God. I'll hear about it later. So I'll be honest. That peace doesn't always rule my heart. Right? And sometimes it's not even like my doing. It's just that everything is trying to pull me away from it. In this world, everything's designed to get us looking away from Jesus out of peace and looking at our own selves or looking at an external source or looking at something else other than Christ. Right? So why is it so important that we are established in truth? Why is it so important that we are established on the word of God? Do you know that there's an enemy that comes to steal the Word? When you get a word from God, it changes everything. Like, it doesn't matter the storm you're in. It doesn't matter the challenge you might be facing or the circumstance you're in. When you have a word from God, it's like you can go. It's like you have. You're a superhuman. I remember when we were going through a battle in our home and we had no idea how it was going to play out. But God gave us a Word. He gave us a Word. And for seven years, we stood on that Word. Every time there was a storm, every time something looked opposite to what God had spoken, we stood on that word. When you have a word from God, you can get through anything. And we had that Word. And seven years later, we're seeing the fruit and the fulfillment of that word. Now, did we have times where we wavered, where we doubted, where peace tried to leave us, where we tried to. Where we. Where we tried to do it in our. Of course we did. But we always came back to that Word. We always came when we reminded ourselves of what God had spoken. Then peace came, strength came. Something beyond ourselves came. Amen. The attack is always on the Word of God. The Bible says the enemy comes to steal the Word in the garden. The enemy said, did God really say it wasn't an attack on Adam or Eve's strength, it was an attack on God's character in God's Word. Because if he can get you to question what God said or who God is, he will move you. He can move you. Yeah, but I'm established in Christ. When Jesus was In the wilderness. In Luke 3, the enemy came again. And he said, if you are the son of God, turn the stones into bread. Right. He challenged God's word again. God had said, you are my beloved son. And the enemy said, if you are his son. He challenged the word of God. But look at what Jesus said. He said, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God, every word that comes from God. Man doesn't live by bread alone. We live by every word that comes from the mouth of God. So in this season that we find ourselves in right now, what is the word that God is speaking to you? Have you taken the time to ask him, God, what's the word for me in this season? I have. And he told me, be established. Be rooted in me. Be grounded in me. Be planted in me. That's the word I have from the Lord. So no matter what I see, no matter what goes on around me, no matter what anyone says, I am grounded in Christ, in the truth of his word. Amen. So what is the word that God is speaking to you? Say this. I don't live by what I see. I live by what God has already spoken. Amen. So let's get in the Word and let's figure out what he's spoken. Let that quicken to your heart, and then hang on to it. Don't let the enemy steal it. Jesus remained unshaken, not because the pressure wasn't real, but because his foundation was stronger. He believed in what God had said over what was being spoken to him. He believed in God's Word over what he could see or what was being spoken to him. Amen. And that honestly, the enemy still whispers this today. He says, if God really loved me, he would have done this right? Or what if God doesn't come through? Or it's taking too long? I need to do something. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But God's truth will always bring freedom and it will always build faith. Look at this. In Psalms 37, 25, I got about five more minutes, if that's okay. Yeah, five more minutes. Five more minutes. Yeah. Sweet. Psalm 37, verse 25. You guys good? You with me? Yeah. I know it's a little bit more than I'm usually jumping around and stuff, but I did all that in worship. Psalm 37, 25. He says, I was once young and now I am old. Yet I have never seen the godly abandoned or their children begging for bread. Is that a word for you? Maybe that's the word for you. I don't know. Did God quicken that to your heart? This is what the psalmist is writing. I was once young. Now I've lived my whole life, over my entire existence, and I have never seen the godly abandoned or their children begging for bread. Maybe you need to hang on to that. Let's look at this in numbers 23 and 19. Maybe you're not sure about what's going on. Look at this. God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, and he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it out? Yeah, you can go back. Maybe that's what you need to hear. Maybe you've been praying something, hanging onto something, believing something, and you haven't seen it yet. Maybe you thought it should have happened by now. Maybe that's the word for you. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it out? That's for you to answer. Look at this in Psalms 27:1. The Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid? Maybe that's what's keeping you up at night. Maybe fear is keeping you up at night. Maybe the uncertainty, the unknown, the fear of the unknown. What's going to happen next? Maybe that's robbing you of your joy and your peace. Maybe this word's for you. The Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? You have Jesus. The Lord is the strength of your life. Why should you be afraid? Amen. Look at this in Psalms 118. 6 Again. The Lord is on my side. Maybe you feel alone, abandoned, don't know who to turn to. The Lord is on your side. I will not fear. What can man do to me? Man, There's a lot going on in this world that man's doing. Maybe that's a word for us, right here, right now. Maybe that's the rhema for this church. The Lord is on my side. I will not fear. I will hold on to peace. I will let my light shine. I will be a witness with power of the Holy Spirit. I will see people come to Jesus. What can man do to me? God's goodness is not proven by our present circumstances. It is revealed in his past actions and confirmed by His Word. We can trust God because of what he's already done and what he's already said. He's already proven it. He's already shown us that he is for us and not against Us. The Bible says that he who knew no sin became sin so that we might become the righteousness of God in Christ. The Bible says that God proved his love to us in this way and that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. He's already moved the mountain. Yeah, it's already moved. Will you tell it? Hey, mountain, get out the way. God's already dealt with you. Amen. God's not telling you to come up with some huff and puff into a mountain. All right, Melton, let me tell you about the scriptures that I know. Mountain. Hmm. That's not what God's asking you to do. God's asking you to walk up to that mountain and say, get out the way. God's already told you you got to get out of the way. God's already spoken it. Get out the way. Psalms, Chapter five, verse six. Look, man, I'm not saying don't know your Bible, but you need to know your Bible to know the character of God. That's why you read your Bible. To know the character of God. Amen. All right, say this with me. God is good. God is faithful. God's word is true. I will trust him. I will not be moved. Amen. I believe you guys. The call of Jesus is not to strive. It's not to muster up some strength. It's not to somehow build up enough courage or enough faith. The call of Jesus is to come closer. In Matthew 11:28, he says, Come to me, and I will give you rest. Come to me, all of you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. In context here, he was talking to the people who were weighed down by the world system. And he said, come to me, all of you who are heavy laden, who are laboring, who are struggling, who are trying to do it. He says, and I will give you rest. We remain unshaken, not by. Through more effort, but by resting. The closer you stay to Jesus, the stronger your roots become. This is my last scripture we go to Hebrews 12:28. Since we are receiving every say, I'm receiving a kingdom that is unshakable. Let us be thankful and please God by worshiping him with holy fear and awe. You are receiving a kingdom that is unshakable. And your response is simply to be, I thank you, Jesus, that I live in this world, but I'm not of it. Thank you, Jesus, that I have everything that pertains to life and Godliness through the knowledge of you. As I draw closer to you, God, you draw closer to me. Fear Gets stripped away. Uncertainty leaves, Lord God. And I'm left standing in peace and in joy. Lord God, remind me, Lord, that I'm more than a conqueror through Christ who loved me. Lord God, remind me that you're with me every step of the way. You're my light, you're my salvation. You're my rock. You're my hope, you're my joy, you're my peace. Lord, I look to you in uncertain times. Thank you, God, that I'm planted, I'm established, I'm rooted in your truth, God, that I'm unshakable, not because of anything I do, but because of who you've made me to be. That I'm positioned in you. Give me that strength, Lord. Equip me to be a witness, Holy Spirit. Use me to bring light to lost and dark places. To share your truth with boldness to let other people taste and see that you are good. Amen. Thank you, Jesus. We have an unfazed God. He is still sitting on the throne. He is not reacting. He is reigning. Yeah, he is not reacting. He is reigning. Amen. Yeah. Give Jesus praise for that. That's awesome. Circumstances don't cancel promises. We stand in authority. We have an inheritance. Look, this might be a shaking world, but you are part of an unshakable kingdom. You know that song, Our God Reigns? That's not just a song, man. It's a declaration. He has no rival. He has no equal. He is the kingdom. His is the kingdom. His is the glory. Now and forever, he reigns. So when we sing that song, we're not just singing a song. We're making a declaration of who God is in our lives. That he sits on the throne of our hearts. That he will rule. He will reign. He will have the last say that the times and the seasons are his business. And so our position, our part to play in all of this is not to try and figure it out, not to try and come up with all the answers or work out what the next thing the enemy's gonna do or what the next thing the prime minister's gonna do. Our part is to simply say, holy Spirit, use me in this time and season, right now, to be a witness for you. Strengthen me for my race, Lord. Help me to look to Jesus, the author and the finisher of my faith. Help me to lay a hold of that with which you lay hold of me, God, to press forward to the mark of the high calling, to know who I am, to be established and positioned in you to be taken out of the death pot. Put into the Christ pot to have peace and joy in every circumstance and every storm, knowing that you reign, Jesus, that you rule, Jesus. Everyone stand to your feet. We're going to end with a closing declaration. You guys good guys? Enjoy this. Yeah. Hallelujah. Everyone say, I am planted in Christ. Christ rules in my heart. I will not be moved by pressure. I will not be distracted by the world. I will not believe the lies of the enemy. Because I belong to an unshakable kingdom. I serve an unfazed king, and I am more than a conqueror through him. Amen. Father God, thank you for this message this morning, Lord God. Thank you for speaking to us, revealing truth to us, Lord God, and reminding us of your power and authority, reminding us that you are the name above every name, Jesus. Now, ultimately, Lord God, you have the final say in everything. Thank you for reminding us that we have power from the Holy Spirit, Lord God, that we are not victims of circumstances, but we are victorious through Jesus. Thank you, Lord God, for reminding us of who we are, our position in you. Thank you for reminding us of your word and the truth that comes from it, Lord God, that we have an unshakable kingdom. That we have an eternal word and eternal truth, Lord. That comes from you, Lord God. That can never change because you are not a man. That you should lie. And Father, I pray, Lord God, that everybody in this place, Lord, would get a word from you directly to their hearts, Lord, that you would give them a word in season to carry them through, Lord God, that they would walk in peace and joy, that the love of Christ would fill their hearts and the message of Jesus in all its richness, Lord God, would fill their lives, acting as an umpire, directing them and leading them, Lord God. Father, I play blessings upon blessings of all of them, Lord God. Would you just continue to be their source, their anchor, their hope, their strength, their ever present help, Lord God. The hill from which their help comes from, Lord God, their provider. Thank you, Jesus, that you never look away and that you've made it all possible through your sacrifice on the cross for us, Jesus, that you were resurrected and we too shall be resurrected. That this life is temporary and that all things are passing away. But we have an eternal life with you in glory, Lord God, that nothing can take. You are everything, Jesus. All praise belongs to you. All glory belongs to you. All dominion, majesty and might belongs to you, Jesus, you sit on the throne and we give you all honor in your precious name. Amen. Hallelujah. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, guys. God bless you. Yeah. [00:43:20] Thank you for tuning in to today's message. To connect or find out more, you can reach us online at worldchangers Life.
