Show Notes

What's sitting on the throne of your heart? Through the story of Abraham and Isaac, and the honesty of a prodigal who climbed to the top of corporate America only to hear God say lay it down, this message confronts the idols that feel like answered prayers. The first sin wasn't disobedience — it was self-enthronement. And the battle most believers are losing isn't against the enemy, it's against themselves. Lazarus wasn't too late. Neither are the prayers that haven't been answered yet. Let go of the Isaac. Get off the throne. Trust the one who already knows the way.

[00:00:00] Welcome to the World Changers Church Gold Coast Podcast. Join us as we listen to today's message. [00:00:08] Amen. Amen. [00:00:09] Amen. [00:00:11] It's great to be here. [00:00:12] I was remembering this morning. There was a time where Kyle and I were doing a youth crusade, and he introduced me as Reverend. And as he sat down, I said, thank you, Bishop Kyle. [00:00:26] So I find that memory very fitting right now. So, yes, absolutely. I just want to say, can we just please give an applause to Pastor Kyle and Pastor Tina? [00:00:37] They are a pillar of what it is to be a servant and what it is to be a pastor. I am the prodigal son. I have wandered around a little bit here and there. I am very real. I just share my life stories. And if you're gonna take notes, God bless you. I hope you can write fast. And if you're gonna try and follow along, production team, just give up now. [00:00:56] There's no hope. There's no hope. So this message came to me before I even knew I was coming. [00:01:03] There was some question as to when we were gonna be able to make the trip. And the Lord really started speaking to me deeply about something in my own life, which we'll get to. [00:01:12] But I want you to open up your thoughts and open up your minds to some of what Pastor Kyle was saying. Cause again, it was very, very similar as to what we're gonna be talking about this morning. So I wanna start talking about prayer. Right? So what is prayer? We all understand what prayer is, I think, but there's something very specific that God has taught me about prayer. [00:01:31] And before we get going into the message, I'm just gonna ask, we all take a moment and do that very thing, which is to pray. Cause prayer is a direct conversation and communion with God. Right. So we're not talking about only vocally. It can be silent. It could be planned, or it could be spontaneous. But it has to be one that we do. Knowing that we're talking to Him. We're not just speaking words into the air. We felt his presence here. We know he is here this morning. So whatever he is gonna bring through me is from him. It's not from me. It's not something Pastor Kyle and I worked out together in some dark room. [00:02:03] It's from the throne room of God. So that's how serious it is. And you're here for a purpose. I got here because I was brought by an airplane. No, that's not true. God brought me here. Right. God brought you here. Right. So we're here for a purpose. So God wants to do something in each and every one of your lives today. Not tomorrow, today. So we're gonna talk about that today. So let's take a moment and pray. [00:02:26] Heavenly Father, I thank you so much for this opportunity to stand in this house, Lord, with my brother. And, Lord, I thank you so much. And it is moving me deeply to my soul, Lord, and how grateful I am for this opportunity. Lord, I pray that you take me and use me as you have never used me before. Lord, I submit myself fully to your using. And I lay myself down, Lord, and do with me as you will. God, this is about you. It is not about me. It is about you. It is not about a message. It is about you. And, God, I welcome you into this place. Lord, shake the foundation of the building if necessary. Lord, open up the gates of heaven and pour out a fresh blessing upon us. God be with us today. Lord, fellowship with us today. Let us feel your presence today. [00:03:14] God, I thank you and I submit myself to you. It is in Jesus Christ's name we pray. [00:03:20] Amen. [00:03:22] We learn in the book of Genesis, in chapter four, that that's when people began to call upon the name of the Lord. And we see that throughout the Old Testament there is this calling upon the name of the Lord and calling on the name of the Lord. But we're never taught to pray and how to pray until we get to the where our Lord and Savior Jesus says, pray this way. [00:03:41] We talked about honoring. Well, how does it begin? Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, honored be your name. Does that make sense? So what we've been talking about all day, since we got into the church house ties into what we're gonna talk about when we start understanding what it is to pray and how many things we've prayed together. Kyle and I have walked an amazing life in such a short period of early ministry. We were in the presence of miraculous healings. We were praying for a lad, and she had tumors all over her body. And as we prayed for her, those tumors disappeared under our hands. And he and I both looked at each other like, what is happening? But we saw that prayer does move mountains. Prayer does break down strongholds. Prayer does bring all these things that we hear about and we're told, this happened, this happened. No, it happens. It's not past tense. It's present tense. But we have to understand that when we pray, we have to pray with a right mindset. We have to approach our entire life with an understanding of who sits on the throne of my heart. [00:04:45] I said I was A prodigal son, right? [00:04:49] So Kyle and I took two divergent paths. Kyle pursued ministry with his whole heart, and I pursued living a godly life inside corporate America. I chose to be a different type of an evangelist, right? [00:05:03] And I prayed and I prayed and I prayed and I said, God, I want to start moving forward. I want to start doing all this stuff, and I want to. [00:05:11] And I want you to give me this vocation where I can use it as a springboard for your message and for your ministry. And I was just, you know, doing my own thing. I was going fishing. I was playing with my dog, and I would evangelize. I would preach here and there. I would do just a little bit of that kind of work, and life was good. [00:05:31] And then things started to happen, Pastor Kyle. [00:05:34] Those prayers that I prayed that would seemingly move the mountains, right? [00:05:39] Prayers that resurrected friends, prayers that had all this impact. Suddenly it seemed like everything was drying up. And what did I do? I thought something was wrong with me at first. [00:05:50] But then something horrible happened in my mind. [00:05:53] I started thinking there was something wrong with God. [00:05:57] I started saying, there has to be something that's not quite right with either him or my relationship. I started losing family members. Then I started screaming and crying at God, why is this happening? Pounding on the dash of my car at the uncle, screaming, how can this be God? [00:06:14] Right? That's a reality that we've all felt when we've prayed for something that just hasn't happened. [00:06:21] But something amazing began to happen as I found myself losing and losing and losing. And we talked about it a little bit this morning. [00:06:28] God began to educate me in that place of pain. When you're hurting, that is the best place to be because God has your undivided attention. You need help that you can't get from anyone else. You can't pat me on the back, rub my head, and tell me it's going to be okay. I have an internal problem that no one can fix. [00:06:47] Not going weird, but who remembers Pastor Kyle saying the prayer that I prayed for him when his heart decided to give out where I said live, and he kind of came back to life. Have you all heard that story? [00:06:57] Let me tell you the other side of the story. [00:07:00] So whenever you have a situation where you're seemingly alone and nothing's working out and everything seems discombobulated and you're screaming to God, change my situation. Fix the things where I am. Help me with this. And it doesn't seem to be working out. Sometimes we forget about one little tiny factor and that factor is time. [00:07:19] God is a God of process. He doesn't miraculously manifest everything instantaneously, but it doesn't change what the evidence is. So when I prayed for Pastor Kyle to come back to life because he had a heart problem, unbeknownst to he or I, I had a heart problem. [00:07:35] I had a very deep heart problem. [00:07:38] I had a malformed heart. I had a physical imperfection in my heart that required surgery, and I had to go through open heart surgery at the age of 40 for them to fix it. It was an undiagnosed birth defect that would kill young athletes. When you see kids just drop dead from sudden cardiac death, that's what it's called. That's what I had, and I carried that unknowingly. [00:07:59] So why does that even. How does that play together? How does this work together? [00:08:03] Whenever you're at work in someone else's life, honoring, like we heard earlier today, whenever you're sowing into people's life, you have no idea what that's doing. When Kyle and I met, we were just two kids that didn't know anything. We were working at a Radio Shack, if you know what that even is, Right? [00:08:17] Some people laugh, you know, yeah, I know who you are. Right. But that's where we met, and we didn't know anything but that little tiny nudge. God telling me, hey, talk to this guy that doesn't know me yet. And I did. And then he talks to me and brings me into church. [00:08:32] I wasn't going to church. I was saved. I wasn't attending. It was Kyle who got me to go into a church. It was through that attending of church that Kyle and I were called to preach. It's through that calling of preaching and serving and working together, my vocation began to change. And his wife Tina said, hey, why don't you come work at this bank? [00:08:52] I said, okay. So I go to work at this bank, and I'm working at this bank, and guess who I meet. This is my wife, Leanne. [00:09:00] So hold on a second. So that's pretty awesome, right? We could just end this story there. I just. Yeah. My wife is fantastic as she is, but her life story, which we won't get into unless God wants us to, is a fascinating one. She has a lot of knowledge about the heart. And I started to have symptoms, and those symptoms were pretty grave, and I don't know what was wrong. And she said, you need to get your heart checked. [00:09:26] Right. [00:09:28] Good. Sound, like, perfect. [00:09:31] So what Kyle didn't know was by my laying hands, On Kyle live, he was laying his hand on my chest through his wife Tina, through all the good Christian things they were doing, sowing back into the community, sowing back into their friends, surrounding their friends with love and prayer and telling me live. And so I was able to avoid sudden death, right? I was racing towards just dropping dead. But because of that reciprocal relationship that happens inside the church community, I found life. [00:10:01] So when we start looking at these things, I have all this tragedy and I have this open heart surgery that I have to go through. All my family members are dying. But I found that it's through praise that we have absolute recognition of who God is. If in those darkest moments, in those hardest times, Kyle was resurrected in the moment, I had to go through a process. [00:10:21] If you can understand that through your process, even if you've prayed for the instantaneous, God is still the God that is on the throne that will carry you through the process. [00:10:30] You have to understand that he has you and he's holding you and he's going to carry you through it because he's going to do something with you. No one in this room, as I said earlier, is here by accident. You're here on purpose. You have a purpose. And as Pastor Kyle said, it goes outside of just today. It's the everyday, it's every moment of every single day that God has to be on, on the throne of your heart or you can't be in the place where you can either lay hands on the miraculous to live or lay hands on the time to live. Does that make sense? [00:11:07] So if we start looking at what it is that I had to go through, I had to go through this process of understanding that even though I started off going the right trajectory in my work life, it slowly became my Isaac. [00:11:21] Does that make sense? [00:11:23] So it became the thing that I was looking for and begging God for this success. I became a vice president of IT for the top two corporation in America. I climbed all the way the corporate ladder to the very, very top right. I had achieved what I wanted. And as I was praying and talking to God, I said, God, you know I'm here. I love you. [00:11:45] You're amazing. [00:11:48] And that's where he leads me to the story of Isaac and Abraham. [00:11:51] Because in a time of prayer, God says, I want you to lay it down. [00:11:57] I want you to quit. [00:12:00] What? [00:12:02] Hold on, God. There is an app called a calculator. Let me just show you real quick. [00:12:08] I got some math problems. If you want me to quit. [00:12:12] I don't know how this is gonna work. [00:12:14] Right. Just being real. But that's what he tells me. So I gather up my. [00:12:22] I gather up my Isaac. [00:12:25] I'm like, okay, we're really gonna go, Lord, going up this mountain. Here we go. [00:12:31] And I lay my job on the altar, and everybody's coming up to us, and they're saying, what are you doing? [00:12:38] What do you mean? God told you to quit your job. You're an idiot. [00:12:42] Being real. And then my Christian friends come up and like, are you sure you're hearing from God? Cause I. [00:12:48] I haven't heard. He told me you're an idiot, man. [00:12:51] I haven't heard. Quit. What are you doing? [00:12:54] Right? [00:12:55] And I'm like, no. And I said, honey. I said, am I. Am I crazy? [00:13:00] Well, that's not what we're talking about. But I said, honey, am I hearing God? There we go. [00:13:05] And she said, yes. [00:13:07] There is a hard part of prayer that we have to find out. [00:13:11] Is this true? [00:13:12] Here's the question. [00:13:15] What's an idol? [00:13:17] What's an idol? [00:13:19] My Isaac became my idol. [00:13:22] So the first sin, right? So again, if you can follow along, good luck. If you can't, it's okay. The first sin in the Bible was what everyone thinks it's disobedience. [00:13:32] They think that it's disobedience. They think that Eve disobeyed God. That's not true. [00:13:38] The serpent comes up to Eve and says, hey, if you eat this fruit, you're not gonna die. [00:13:44] She's like, really? I'm not gonna die if I eat it? No, try it. She eats it. She doesn't die. She became God in her own heart. In that moment, she became the idol, Right? [00:13:56] She sat on the throne of her own heart. She decided what she could have. She chose what she could do, that it was okay. [00:14:06] And then Adam says, that sounds like a good idea. Let me do that, too. Let me put myself as God in my own heart. [00:14:16] That's a terrifying place. [00:14:19] But we do it, and we don't know that we do it. There's a song, it's called Clear the Stage. Have you ever heard. [00:14:28] Says, anything that I want with all my heart can be an idol. [00:14:34] If it's not God, it's an idol. [00:14:38] I wanted this thing, my Isaac, more than anything else in the world, and it became my idol. [00:14:46] And the song says that I can sing and I can worship and I can do it all the time. [00:14:54] But worship isn't in a song. [00:14:57] It's not in any of that. [00:14:59] Right? My relationship with God isn't through a thing that I do or anything. It's like Pastor Kyle said, it is an everyday breath, an everyday leading and everyday understanding that he is the one that is on this throne. That is my heart, right? This is the temple. If he has to be in here or I'm in there, it's not a war against the devil most of the time. It's a war against me. It's a battle against me that I have to fight against myself. Because I was the one that said, God, give me this, give me this, give me this, give me this, give me this. He's like, okay, here you go. Hey, give it back. I don't think so, right? [00:15:39] So what happened to old Doug? [00:15:42] Doug began to die again. [00:15:44] My body began to break down because I was holding onto things I wasn't supposed to hold onto. [00:15:50] I was like, this is mine. It's mine. It's mine. It turned into Gollum. [00:15:55] It's the precious, right? I have to have it. It's mine. I wanted it. I pr. [00:16:01] But it could be anything. It could have been my own business. It could have been my own church. [00:16:07] It could be my own prayer time and my own way of worshiping and my own way of fill in the blank. That's the harsh reality of this thing. [00:16:19] So when I began to understand I have an idle problem. I don't have an Isaac problem. [00:16:26] I said, okay, okay, let's go. This is on the altar. [00:16:31] Boom. Dead. [00:16:33] Died. I quit. [00:16:34] Everyone said, what are you gonna do? I'm like, I have no idea. They're like, well, where are you gonna go? I'm like, I don't know. [00:16:40] And I just left. Ten years at the same organization. [00:16:44] I packed my desk and I left. [00:16:47] This is how good God is. Yeah, it's a celebration there. She'd be screaming and shouting right now, but here's the true goodness, the true goodness of God. [00:16:58] As soon as I quit, my church community swooped in like angels ministering to Jesus. My brothers came and they got me. They took me off to a pheasant hunt, right? And then the pastor of the group, he turned over his pulpit. He said, preach what? [00:17:17] So when we get out of the way of God, God can be God. [00:17:22] God is supposed to be God. When God came back, Adam's like, hey, what you doing here? God was where God was supposed to be. It was Adam that was in the wrong place. And he said, hey, wait a minute. Where are you? Where are you? If God has you in this room today, he is asking, where are you? [00:17:42] That's true. Now, there could be the other Half of the story. What's the other half of the story? Well, I'll tell you in a second after I take a drink of water. [00:17:49] The other half of the story is sometimes you are praying. And that word, Remember that word I said earlier? Time. Time just hasn't happened yet. [00:17:57] Time hasn't happened. [00:18:02] So here I am, ministered to by these wonderful angels, allowed to heal. [00:18:12] But it's in this place that I understood. You said it today, Pastor Tina, Jehovah Jireh, my provider. Once I laid down my job, I stopped providing for me. And he started providing for me as soon as I laid that down. [00:18:29] And I let it go completely. And we had even given up. We're like, well, let's just figure out whatever God's telling us to do. [00:18:37] I had a Lazarus moment. [00:18:40] My Isaac that was dead somehow got back up. [00:18:48] So God was so gracious and kind that he sent me an opportunity to work for a company. [00:18:54] Exact same salary, better benefits, unlimited remote, unlimited time off. [00:19:01] And I heard a whisper, you can have your life back. [00:19:06] So God blessed me with the very thing I was afraid to lay down. He's like, here, you can have it back. [00:19:12] But it's not over. That's just a job. [00:19:15] Pastor Kyle, as I said, has been a pillar of what it is to serve since he began serving. And I'm a little bit of this. [00:19:23] So if you're praying for something, which I have prayed for God to use me in my calling, you have to get to the place of Lazarus. [00:19:32] You have to get to the place where you have to understand there's no such thing as too late. [00:19:38] God's never too late. [00:19:40] God's never not on time. He is always on time. He's always immediately. When it's time, it's happening. But there's two different things you have to look at the Mary and the Martha. And I think this applies to serving, because some of us, we're so driven. [00:19:57] Well, I don't know what you call it. Our volunteering, I guess you could call it. So Leanne and I, we volunteer at our church in different capacities, a lot of different capacities. Capacities. And we got to this place where, again, before I had laid all this stuff down, I was just doing and doing and doing and doing and doing and doing and volunteering and doing and doing and doing and doing. But it became another idol, if you will. [00:20:21] But if you get to the place where you understand that, like the Mary and the Martha, you have one at the feet of Jesus, and you have one busy running and doing the fascinating Part is they both responded to Jesus the same way. That said, if you had been here, he wouldn't have died. [00:20:40] If you had been here, he wouldn't have perished. [00:20:45] What we need to understand is there's times where God allows us to go through very difficult things. [00:20:50] Because he's either preparing you to minister to someone else who's going to go through a difficult thing, or he is going to let you mature through the process. Because if he takes you out of it now, you won't finish growing. Anybody ever plant something? You have plants and vegetables and stuff. There's a point in time where they get root bound in that pot and you have to take them out of that pot and break up those roots and mash them around. Yeah. So you are possibly root bound. You could say, God help, God help, God help, God help, God help. If you would just help me, then everything would be okay. But what you have to understand is he may have to break you in that process. There may be a little bit of dying to self or a dying to self will or a removal of you from the equation so that he could break you up and plant you where you're supposed to be. [00:21:35] Because once you're planted where he wants you planted, then you can grow how he wants you to grow. There has to be an understanding that every person in this room has a call on their life. You're called. You're not called on Sunday, you're not called on midweek. You're not called on intercessory prayer night. You're not called on those individual moments. You're perpetually always called. [00:21:58] I tell people at our church back home, I say, hey, listen to me. I'm a life example of how not to do it. [00:22:06] Cause I'll do it wrong first, Guaranteed I'm gonna do it wrong. [00:22:10] But I wanna encourage you to please listen if God is calling you to do something, right? Because if he's calling you to do this thing, even if it requires a little bit of death of you or a little bit of time of you, he's calling you to do that thing. [00:22:25] If you could see, we heard it this morning. I don't remember the exact words, but the dry bones, right? [00:22:31] And that God is doing something in this place. Who felt God's presence this morning as we were singing, right? So number one, he's still in this atmosphere. He is still absolutely in this room. I haven't pushed him out of this room and you haven't pushed him out of this room. You know why? He's God. You Can't. [00:22:47] Right. [00:22:49] So he is in this atmosphere. So I want to ask you the first question, like, are you a Mary? [00:22:54] Are you a Martha? [00:22:57] If you're either one, do you understand that God is still this on time God? And if you understand that, can you pray for that thing that you have been longing for one more time? [00:23:10] Can you go check like Elijah said? Go check one more time. You see rain yet? Nope. Go look again. You see rain yet? Nope. Go look again. Do you see it yet? Nope. Go look again. Pastor Kyle, do we have the land yet to build on? [00:23:24] Nope, not yet. How about we go look again. How about we knit together and understand that God is doing something here not because we want to do a thing, but because he wants to do a thing. It is a God thing. If it is a God thing, then get on board. [00:23:42] One of the most dangerous things that you can ever say. And I forget who it was that said it to us. I think it was Don Burchfield, actually. He said, either get in the boat or get out of the boat. He said that to me. Shocker, right? [00:23:54] I'm getting out of the boat. But different story. I'll tell you after church. [00:23:58] But you're going somewhere together and to feel the power of God's presence. When you all worship together, the enemy will do everything he can to stop that. He'll come against you. He'll come against everyone in any way he can. But he can't. [00:24:14] Because God is God, right? If something is happening, look for the glory in it. Look for God to use it. You hit a hardship. I don't know how God is gonna use quitting my stupid job in America, but God will use that somehow to bless someone, to give them the courage to step out on something. Whatever you're going through, whatever you're facing, whatever is against you, understand that God has allowed that in that space to be used for his glory. [00:24:43] Everything is for his glory. Everything we do is for his glory. When you're praising and worshiping, you're glorifying Him. So we need to do that with every. Every facet of our life, everything that we do. Does that mean be overly churchy and fluffy and fake? No. It means take yourself off of the throne. Let him lead you. He might not change the road that you're on at all. [00:25:09] So there's a difference between whenever I drive and whenever my wife drives somewhere. If we're going to go somewhere that's very familiar, I just use a gps. Just what I do. [00:25:17] I might know how to get there. I'm just gonna use a gps. [00:25:20] My wife knows places, how to get there. I don't know how. That's not me. Right? Most people, I think they're opposite. [00:25:27] But what does that mean? How does that connect? Some of us think we know where we're going and we don't engage God and say, God, where am I going? [00:25:35] Where are we going? Where do you want me to go? What do you want me to do? [00:25:40] Because with my decision to say, hey, I quit this thing, I'm untethered. [00:25:46] I have this job, but they don't care where I work. [00:25:49] They don't care what I do. They're just like, yeah, get your stuff done. I'm like, okay, cool. I can do that. [00:25:55] So when we set aside ourself, when we allow God to take us and use us in the way he wants to use us, you're not bound anymore. You're not stuck. If you get in behind God and the way he's going, he will cut the crowd for you like nobody else. If we were trying to get somewhere and God's gonna want us to get there. And guess what? He's going first. If he's going first, all I have to do is follow him. It takes out all the complication. How do we get there? Don't know. He's going that way. So am I. So if we will knit behind Pastor Kyle and Pastor Tina and say, all right, you got the vision. Let's go. Let's do this. Let's do it to its fullest. Not partway, not halfway. You can't be half on this. You can't share the throne with God. [00:26:39] It doesn't work. If I tried to share a seat with anybody, it's not gonna work. We won't fit, right? It won't fit. [00:26:49] You gotta get off. You gotta let him be God. He's either God or he's not. You either know him or you don't. But if you know him, you gotta submit. [00:26:59] You gotta surrender. I had to surrender. [00:27:05] Pastor Kyle will tell you that I'm one of the most stubborn people on the planet. [00:27:09] I just won't break. [00:27:12] You can say whatever you want to right now. [00:27:15] You can say it all, but I won't bend and I won't break. [00:27:20] But I wouldn't bend, and I wouldn't break to God either. [00:27:23] And he had to break me. [00:27:25] He had to break me. [00:27:28] And it wasn't until I was broken that that sweet aroma started to come out when I said, I'm not the provider. He's our provider. [00:27:38] And My wife and I are blessed suddenly with here's provision, here's help. We had people just giving, just people just like here, like, what's happening? How is this happening? Oh, he is a miracle wonder working God. That's right. I forgot. I forgot that my God can do all things right. He can supply all of my needs according to his riches and glory. He owns the cattle on a thousand hills and as our old mentor said, the taters in the hills, right? He owns it all. He knows it all. But most importantly, he knows you. He knows you more than Kyle knows me or I know Kyle or our wives know each other, right? [00:28:20] He knows you. [00:28:22] Who is on the throne of your heart. [00:28:25] Are you submitted? [00:28:27] Are you surrendered? [00:28:29] Let me tell you, I am the most risk averse person on the planet. [00:28:37] You might think if I give in to him, what will happen? [00:28:40] You might say, oh, I don't want to give this thing up. I don't want to let this thing go. I can't let go of that. I got to hold on to my stuff. It's mine. [00:28:51] But if you'll trust me, I promise you, if you let him take you and let him own you, you will discover his love in a way you can't even understand today. You will be loved so deeply and so passionately, you'll say, why didn't I do this sooner? [00:29:10] I can tell you a handful of provisionary stories where God has done the miraculous and helped my wife and I through crazy difficult times. But the lives of pastors who are dedicated to this can tell you stor that will last months, weeks and years as to how much they have provided and been given through God alone. If we will trust God with our everything, he will become our everything. [00:29:34] And that's what being a Christian is. [00:29:36] That's what being a servant is. That's what loving him looks like. [00:29:41] You're His. [00:29:44] So just let it go. Submit. Surrender, right? There's a difference. We said it this morning when we were talking. There is a difference between being friends with God and understanding that he's the parent. He's the dad. [00:29:56] Spray the belt doesn't come off. But he's the dad, right? He's the dad. So if we will get that into our minds and understand that he wants to do something with us. The last time we visited, Pastor Kyle and I were talking and we were saying how God's gonna grow the church. And I see a lot more faces here. I see a constant state of growth. So God is doing that thing. So I have just one question. What's next. You're part of what's next. Get behind Pastor Kyle and push forward for what's next. Because there is something here in Australia that we don't have and it is a hunger for God. [00:30:29] You walk into any church we went, the very first visit I made, I went to a Catholic church with some family. [00:30:36] And God has blessed me with the ability to just to feel y', all, if that makes sense. [00:30:42] I've never felt such a hunger. [00:30:45] It was so deep. [00:30:47] They wanted him and they didn't have a guide to get there. They had a ritual and a routine and they were missing him. They were missing the nail scarred hand that was reaching out to them. They just didn't know how to get to him. So if you can be that conduit where you can say, this is the Son of God, this is Christ Jesus, this is the most high God. Do you understand how precious that makes you? [00:31:14] God loves us all. But if we will step into a surrendered, submitted life and embrace our identity as his child. [00:31:22] Cause he is my dad. [00:31:24] He is my father. [00:31:26] And I am his son. I am his beloved son. [00:31:30] So are you. [00:31:32] So are you. [00:31:33] So are you. [00:31:34] He says he'll leave the 99 and come after the 1, right? I'm the one. [00:31:40] I'm that one. So are you. So are you. So are you. So are you. He loves you more than I could ever tell you. [00:31:49] There have been times where I have not been deserving of my brother's love. [00:31:53] There have been times where I have not been kind and sweet. [00:31:57] But there has never been a time that he has not sent out his hand and offered his hug and shown me love. [00:32:04] And it's in that love space that we find that reconnection and that unity and we find healing. [00:32:11] This world is hurt. [00:32:13] This world is aching. [00:32:16] And we are the medics. [00:32:18] We are the ones that can help them. But we've got to get God here so that we can take him there. [00:32:27] Does that make sense? [00:32:29] So if you're praying for something that hasn't happened yet, it doesn't matter if it's been four days and Lazarus is dead. Whatever that thing is, keep praying for it, because God will do it. [00:32:38] But you have to make sure that he is on that throne, that it's him that's causing you to want it. Does that make sense? [00:32:46] Let's bow our heads and pray. I'm gonna hand back over to Pastor Kyle. [00:32:50] Heavenly Father, God, I ask that you speak to us today, Lord. As Pastor Kyle comes up, I ask, Lord, that you minister to us and that you speak to us at this time of very serious opportunities where there may be others in this room who are willing to do as I did and drag our Isaac or our idol to the altar and say, lord, it's yours. [00:33:12] God, I pray that you speak deeply into our hearts and into our minds, that you open us up to the opportunity that's before us to come before you, laying it all down and submitting all that we have and all that we are to you, to finally serve you in our full capacity to not hold back that little bit that we're just not willing to let go the thing that we think gives us the ability to control our situation. [00:33:36] But God, I pray that we understand that true control comes to you, Lord, for us giving you the reins of my life, Lord, handing me over to you and letting go of all the things I think I am in power over, Lord, but understanding that you have power over all things. [00:33:53] And, Lord, that I finally just open my hands and let it all go and that we all do that thing. Lord, I ask God that you speak to us, Lord, that you motivate us and move us. God, you brought us to this place today for a purpose and a reason. Lord, I pray in Jesus name that that reason is manifest. God and I thank you for this opportunity to be in this house with such wonderful people. [00:34:16] Lord, I ask that you speak to our hearts and that there's people here that need to come and lay something down at this altar. [00:34:23] Lord, I pray that we'll do that today, Lord. Pastor Kyle said it earlier, Lord, it's been said many times since we got here, Lord. Lord, it's every day. It's all the time. It's you. It's not sometimes, it's every day. It's all the time. It's you. [00:34:44] Lord, we are bare before you, Lord. Speak to us. [00:34:50] Lord, touch us. [00:34:52] Lord, we praise you and we thank you. It's in Jesus name. [00:34:56] Amen.
