[00:00:08] Welcome to day five of our seven days of prayer and fasting. Today we're looking at awakening to spiritual hunger. Our scripture for today is Matthew 5:6. So grab your Bibles and get ready to open up the Word of God. Matthew 5:6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. A genuine hunger for God leads to deeper intimacy with Him. The more we seek him, the more we desire Him. When we fill ourselves with worldly distractions, we become numb to our spiritual appetite. But when we turn to God, he satisfies our soul like nothing else can. Pray with me today. Heavenly Father. Stir within me a deeper hunger for your Word and your presence. Remove complacency and fill me with a desire to know you more. Let my heart burn with passion for righteousness and may I seek you above all else. In Jesus name. Amen. Set aside extra time today to read your scriptures and to worship. Ask God to increase your spiritual hunger. The Word of God promises that when you draw near to him, he will draw near to you.
