[00:00:09] Thank you all. Glory, glory and honor to God. And you may be seated. Amen.
Happy Sunday. These Sundays are rolling around quickly, aren't they?
How good is that?
Let's say a moment of prayer and give thanks to God for what he's done already.
Father, we just thank you, Lord. I thank you for your spirit being in this place.
I thank you, Father, for just every good and perfect gift that you bring and that you have brought into our lives.
I thank you, Father, for each and every person here this morning that we can boldly and proudly and confidently say that we are believers and Jesus, we believe you and we believe your promises for our lives.
I thank you, Jesus, for giving your life so that we can live and have freedom.
And Father, I just thank you for the worship team.
I thank you for our new sound system, God, and I thank you and I bless each person that has given for us to have the ability to purchase that.
And Father, I thank you for the work here at World Changers. I thank you for the lives that are being transformed. I thank you for needs that are being met, and I thank you for the word being preached. And it's in Jesus name I pray. Amen and amen.
Hallelujah. I'm going to go ahead and get into it because I got something good for you.
So as a ministry team, we schedule the ministry roster of whose prayer preaching pretty much months in advance. And so I just pray and I ask the Lord, you know, what would you have me to preach? What do the people need to hear for me, you know, there's like a little process to it. Sometimes he'll have me go back and reminister messages I've already written, but I just keep a notepad for many different things, many different folders, and I just write down notes and things that the Lord gives me. And you know, I thought, oh, you know, I'm gonna minister on redeemed effort, you know. So I started, you know, typing that out and then I was like, no, maybe it's a soul prosperity. You know, I started typing that out. So I had several options as I'm praying with the Lord and asking him, you know, you know, what, what do the people need to hear?
And in my daily reading of the Bible, I was reading in acts and Acts 2024, the very first line of the scripture, but none of these things move me.
And I stopped right there and I just felt that the Lord said, this is what you Minister to the people.
So my sermon title is none of these Things Move Me. So let's read Acts 20:24. This is the Apostle Paul that wrote this.
But none of these things move me.
Neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy and the ministry which I have received of the Lord Jesus to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
Now, if you look at the world today, there's issues in this world.
There are things that could easily move us even as believers.
Some of those things is wars and rumors of wars and the strait being blocked in the whatever's going on with petrol shortage or not shortage or reserve or not reserve and prices increasing and, you know, all of this stuff going on in the world.
We're living in a time that we could be easily moved.
We're living in a time where many people are moved by, by the circumstances of this world.
You know, we could be moved by bad news. We could be moved by opinion. We could be moved by rejection. We could be moved by disappointment or hurt. We could be moved by offense. We could be moved by pressure.
We could be moved by fear.
We could be moved by what we see and what we hear naturally, right?
But I love this scripture. The Apostle Paul, he stood in the middle of trials and he boldly declared, none of these things move me.
So to give you some context, Paul needed to go to Jerusalem and he needed to go there. And you know, the Apostle Paul was establishing and building the church. He, you know, went to the Gentiles and he ministered about Jesus to the Gentiles and to the Jews. That was like, oh, you're so wrong. They were persecuting and they would imprison people for that very thing.
So Paul had to go to Jerusalem. And there was talks that, oh, Paul, you're going to be persecuted, you're going to be killed, you're going to be thrown in prison.
And the Apostle Paul said, here. But none of these things move me.
This is kingdom language. This is language of the kingdom of God.
This is a faith that is matured.
This is confidence in Jesus, confidence in grace.
The Apostle Paul talks about the grace of God often as he writes to the churches.
And this is a believer who knows who he is and a believer who knows who whose he is.
The Apostle Paul persecuted Christians and he had an encounter with the living God that changed the trajectory of his life.
And then his passion was to tell others to minister the good news, the gospel of Jesus, the gospel of grace to all who would hear Gentile and Jew alike.
So this morning, I'm here to stir your spirit.
I'm here to encourage you.
I'm here to boldly proclaim the Gospel of Jesus.
There's things that come in our lives that may shake us for a moment, it may rattle us for a moment, but we do not have to be moved.
Amen.
I'm one that has a lot of scripture. So we're going to go through Scripture.
Psalm 46:1 2 says, God is our refuge and strength.
He's a very help in times of trouble.
Therefore, will not we fear though the earth be removed and the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea? Let's go on to. Can we go on to 3? Anyway, my point there is. God is our refuge and strength.
He is a very present help in times of trouble.
We should not fear, no matter what we see. And the Apostle Paul knew this.
The Apostle Paul had encountered the living God. He had encountered truth. He had encountered the Way, and he had encountered life.
And even though Paul was surrounded by so much trouble, he was anchored in who he was, in Christ Jesus. And he was anchored in his purpose. Amen.
As I stated before, before Paul said and wrote this in Scripture, he had been warned that bonds, afflictions, persecution and hardship awaited him there in Jerusalem. Yet Paul says, none of these things move me.
Why?
Why?
Well, the Lord said, because when identity and when purpose is clear, pressure loses power.
When identity and pressure is clear, deception loses power. Amen.
Many people are moved because of opinion. Many people are moved at the lies of the enemy.
I was sharing in team huddle. I'm reading a book.
Don't give the enemy a seat at your table. In the first couple paragraphs, it's talking about who is Satan.
He comes to steal, kill and destroy. He's a thief, he's a killer, and he is a destroyer.
Why do we give him a seat at our table? Why do we listen to the lies of a killer? Why do we listen to the lies of a thief? Why do we listen to the lies of a destroyer?
He is false. He mimics, he counterfeits. But he is not truth. Amen.
And so the Apostle Paul, he knew he had an encounter.
When you know who you are in Christ, when you know what God has called you, criticism won't move you.
Opinion will not move you.
Opposition will not move you.
Warfare will not move you.
People coming and going will not move you. Because purpose anchors the soul.
Purpose and truth anchors the soul. Amen, man. We gotta know because we know. Because we know. Because we know.
Paul knew the living God, Paul knew who he was, and Paul knew his purpose.
Let's go to some more scripture. Hebrews 12:28.
Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved?
This kingdom of God cannot be moved. It says, let us have grace whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and. And godly fear. A lot of people say, how? How do I serve God? Well, reverence, godly fear, have grace, Jesus, and know that we have the kingdom of God on the inside of us that cannot be moved. Amen.
Jeremiah 29:11 says, For I know the plans I have for you, for I know the thoughts that I think towards you, says the Lord. Thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Another version says, I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. He has plans of peace, he has plans of good, and he has plans of an expected end.
You belong to an unshakable kingdom.
And what I love about the apostle Paul, man, he was shipwrecked, he was imprisoned, and he did not stop spreading the good news. He did not stop writing the letters to the churches Corinth and Ephesus.
He did not stop. Paul refused to make comfort his idol. Paul refused to make comfort his idol.
Paul said, neither count I my life dear unto myself. Paul was saying, my comfort is not first. My convenience is not first. My feelings are not first. God's will is my first.
God is my first. Jesus is my first. Period, full stop.
Many believers are moved because of discomfort.
Man, we live in an uncomfortable, uncomfortable world.
If you are trying to anchor in the world, in the patterns of this world.
But when we are anchored in truth, when we are anchored in love, when we are anchored in Jesus, when we are anchored in God as our source, seeking first the kingdom of heaven and his righteousness, knowing that all things will be added unto us. Amen.
That is truth, that is word, you know, Destiny, purpose, sweetness.
Often lives on the other side of inconvenience.
Often lives on the other side of pressing through.
Often lives on the other side of going just a little farther.
Jesus in the garden.
Jesus himself said when he was there, asking the Father for this cup to pass from him.
And then he surrendered and said, not my will be done, but yours, Father.
And then in Scripture it says, and Jesus went a little farther.
Oftentimes the key to your breakthrough is going a little farther.
I remember a pivotal point of my life and really ministry right here in Australia was 2000, I think it was 20, going through an awful time.
And I wanted to Just quit. Actually, I did quit.
And I went to the beach with all my stuff and my little towel and I thought, I am done. I'm going to enjoy the beach. Kyle can have it all. And I'm gonna go back home. And I'm standing there and I'm just standing there and this little kid keeps running back and forth and I'm watching the kid and I'm like, okay, Lord, you know, back and forth, back and forth. Then the father comes over and I'm like, don't wanna deal with people right now. I quit. Don't wanna deal with people. No, God, I quit.
And then the guy comes over and he goes, yeah, where.
The us. I live here now.
And he goes, oh, we're from Melbourne and we just come up here. I'm going through a divorce. I said, no, Jesus. Nope, not gonna do it, not going to do it. I quit. Not going to do it. Okay. Trying to be heartless and cold hearted. I'm like, can I just pray for you? Okay. Grabbed hands, prayed for him. Then I was like, I'm done with just being done. I grabbed my stuff and I went back home and I said, okay, God. And then shortly after, let me tell you this, shortly after I get a phone call and a friend of mine that I've ministered at some of her women's conferences, she asked me, she said, would you be interested to come alongside and Pink Impact, is it? And minister at some of my women's conferences. And I said, yeah, sure, I'll go. And I remember preaching a message, the God of the breakthrough.
And I wasn't living it. I was believing for a breakthrough. And I'd went through scripture and I'd went through scripture and I went through scripture and that part of scripture of Jesus in the garden. And Jesus went a little farther.
Sometimes the key to your breakthrough, sometimes the sweetness on the other side is the moment that you decide. None of these things move me.
Jesus was not moved by the cross.
He had his moment.
And then he went a little farther because he knew that it was his purpose.
And Hebrews 12:2 says this, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him, he endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
He saw beyond pain. He saw into promise.
And look at the sweetness on the other side of discomfort.
Look at the sweetness on the other side of inconvenience.
A new covenant fulfilled so that we can be face to face, Go boldly to the throne room of grace.
Luke 22:42. This was Jesus saying, not my will. If thou be willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but your will be done. Amen.
This was that surrender moment of Jesus. He asked the father, will you let it pass? Can I stay a little longer? Do I have to go now? That would be some of our questions. I believe in this time.
But then he said, nevertheless, not my will, but your will be done.
I see this same.
I don't know grit perseverance that was in the Apostle Paul. The Apostle Paul refused to be moved by anything.
He was not moved by persecution or the thought of it.
He had been beaten, he had been imprisoned. He had been lied about. He had been rejected. Yet he still preached. Yet he still knew whose he was.
Paul said, none of these things move me.
2 Corinthians 4, 8, 9. This was also the Apostle Paul. He wrote this. We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed.
We are perplexed, but not in despair.
We are persecuted, but not forsaken.
We are cast down, but not destroyed.
That is the word of God.
We are troubled on every side, but we have the joy of the Lord. And I'm going to tell you about that. Pastor Kyle preached a beautiful message last week on Joy.
I'm going to tell you a little bit more about that.
We are not distressed. We are not cast down. We are not destroyed.
Because why? We have a kingdom that cannot be shaken.
We have truth and life and power. Amen.
The Apostle Paul was not moved by emotions.
You know, this is a thing that I'm very sensitive about. Feelings are real, emotions are real.
But let me tell you this.
Feelings and emotions are poor leaders.
Feelings and emotions should never lead us because we will be led astray.
But we can take our feelings and our emotions to a Father in prayer that loves us so much. And we can seek help, we can seek refuge. We can seek refreshing in the times that we need it most.
He comforts us. That's what his spirit does.
We have people, the purpose of community. We have each other that we can go to and say, will you pray for me?
And people will. Amen.
You can feel discouraged, but yet still move forward.
You can feel tired, yet still not being moved. Be moved and still obey.
You can feel wounded, yet still worship the Father. Amen.
This is a beautiful scripture. Psalm 42:11 says, why art thou cast down, O my soul?
And why art thou disquieted within me?
Hope thou in the Lord, for I shall yet praise him who is the health of my countenance and my God.
King David wrote, he was saying, why is my soul so cast down?
But yet I hope in God, and I will praise him, and I love this part. He is the health of my countenance.
He heals, he restores. Amen.
The apostle Paul, he wasn't moved by circumstance. He even had prophets say, if you go to Jerusalem, you're going to be persecuted. You're going to this. This is going to happen. Yet he was not moved by circumstances.
He had faith. He knew the author and the finisher of faith, who is Jesus.
Now, faith does not deny facts.
But what faith will do and can do is exalt truth over facts. Amen.
Now, there's a difference in facts and truth, right?
There's a difference in that. Amen.
There's a big difference in truth and facts. But you know what? It can be a fact, but then truth can counter that fact, and then that fact is subject to change. That's the word of God. That is the living God. Amen. That is the power of believing, because why? All things are possible to those who believe. Amen.
2 Corinthians 5:7 says, for we walk by faith and not by sight.
We can see a lot of things in our lives in our circumstance, but that's not how we live, move, and have our very being. Our very being should be in Jesus. We live in him. We move in Him. We have our very being in him.
He is our source. Amen.
The apostle Paul wasn't even moved by fear.
Fear will say, stop.
Don't. Don't do it.
But faith says, go if the voice of God is behind it. Amen.
2 Timothy 1:7 says, God has not given us the spirit of fear. He's given us power. He's given us love, and he's given us a sound mind. Amen.
We have it.
We have it.
The moment we say yes to Jesus, we have it.
So why could Paul speak like this? None of these things move me.
Jesus, the grace of God.
He stood in grace. He stood in Jesus. He knew Christ was with him. He knew righteousness was his gift.
He knew God's strength was made perfect even in his own weakness.
And he knew that nothing could separate him from God's love. Romans 8:38, 39.
Nothing can separate you from the love of God in Christ Jesus.
It goes on to say, no. Death can separate you, nor life can separate you. Angels cannot separate you.
Principalities cannot separate you. Powers cannot separate you. Things present, things to come cannot separate you.
Nothing can separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus, we have it.
It's not circumstantial, it's unconditional. Amen.
When you know you are loved, you stop being easily moved. When you know you are loved, you stop being easily moved.
2nd Corinthians 12:9. This is again Apostle Paul that wrote to the church of Corinth. And he said unto me, my grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly, therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
The Apostle Paul is saying, grace Jesus is sufficient for me. He is my strength.
I Love this scripture. First Corinthians 15:10.
First Corinthians 15:10 says, but by the grace of God, I am what I am, and his grace, which was bestowed upon me was not in vain, but I labored more abundantly than they all did. What?
The Apostle Paul was boasting on all that he did to establish the Church.
Oh, but wait a minute. Apostle Paul goes on to say, yet not I, but the grace of God, which was in Amen.
Even in the abundantly more labor that he did, more than everybody else that he writes about, he's saying, it's the grace of God in me that makes me capable to do all that I can do.
Paul worked hard, but he knew Jesus and grace was his source.
And I'm going to give you a little tidbit of my other message. This is redeemed effort.
This right here is redeemed effort.
This right here is redeemed effort. When you can say, it's the grace of God that gives me the ability to do all things that I do, even if my schedule is full, even if I'm laboring abundantly. Amen.
Paul's goal was to finish his course with joy.
Paul did not say, I just want to survive.
Paul did not say, I just want to pass through.
He said, I want to finish my course with joy.
I had a moment with God, with myself.
I don't want to finish bitter.
I don't want to finish feeling shortchanged.
I don't want to finish offended.
I don't want to finish exhausted.
I don't want to finish cynical.
I want to finish with joy.
And I'm discovering that.
And I found some scriptures on that. I'm going to tell you in a moment that freed me.
There are many people that finish, but joyless Paul said, I will finish full.
Joy comes when you know grace is carrying you.
Joy comes when you stop caring what God never assigned to you.
Joy comes when you keep your eyes on Jesus.
Joy comes when you let go of people's opinions.
I was delivered probably 15 years ago. Of that I had an approval. Addiction.
Oh. I wanted to be approved. Approved, approved.
I would overcompensate and overachieve because I wanted to ensure that all that I did was appropriate, proved by everyone.
That's exhausting.
Tell you what freed me.
I felt the Lord say to me one day, how much greater would the anointing flow if you forget about the approval of man?
I said, oh, Jesus, and I released myself. And those of you that know me now, what do I say often? Let's simplify things. Let's do it a little simple. Simple is the best way.
No more overcompensating to try to approve. Nope. Done with that.
Nehemiah 8, 10 says, the joy of the Lord is your strength.
The joy of the Lord is your strength. John 15:11. This is the key right here.
These things have I spoken unto you that my joy might remain in you and that your joy might be full.
We're trying to fill our own selves with joy.
No, that's not how it works. In the kingdom of God, we have his joy. That's the fruit of the Spirit. And because his joy is on the inside of us, our joy is full. Amen.
It's the source. It's the living source that is the spirit of God, that is on the inside of us. Amen.
I said, lord, this is my key to finishing my course.
Full of joy.
Full of joy.
Amen.
So let me ask you, what are these things in your life?
Maybe it's sickness, maybe it's disappointment.
Maybe it's anxiety about the future.
Maybe it's family tension.
I don't know.
But I think today faith needs to declare, none of these things move me.
None of these things move me.
And it's not because I'm minimizing issues.
I know some of us have some big issues, some big things that we need. A big God and big promises and big faith.
But we need to know that greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world.
We need to know, as Isaiah 59:19 says, when the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.
You know, you just don't know how much God has your back. You just don't know how much the spirit of God has you.
You just don't know how much. When Jesus gave his life the biggest setup in history, Isaiah 54:17 says, no weapon formed against you shall prosper.
And every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment, thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their righteousnesses of me.
How do we become immovable?
Well, I said truth stabilizes emotion.
Pastor Jeremy did a beautiful team huddle on the word of God.
That's it.
We become immovable when we stay in the word of God.
We stay immovable when we are grace and Jesus conscience.
It's not all on you.
It's not all on us.
Keep an eternal perspective.
This is a moment.
It's not your whole story.
It's a moment.
It's not your whole story.
Romans 8:18 says, for the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
Amen.
This stuff is not worthy to be compared to the kingdom of God that is unshakable.
How do we become immovable?
Stay planted.
Trees survive storms because roots run deep.
Stay planted in the river of the living water.
Stay planted with a good shepherd.
Stay planted.
And church community, learn of him.
Amen.
Keep speaking faith.
Say what the apostle Paul said, until your spirit catches up.
Say what the apostle Paul said, until you start feeling it, until you start believing it. None of these things shall move me.
None of these things shall move me.
Thank you, Jesus, that I have the answers. Thank you, Jesus, that I have the promise. And then you get in your word and you find scripture and you anchor in that.
When Pastor Kyle and I and the family received news way back.
I'm going to do a little documentary just on our visa journey.
I'm going to purpose that pain.
But when we got an email, I still have the email. Our immigration agent said, well, current visa is closing. There's no pathway.
There's no pathway.
And he said, but there is an option I don't know about, and it's a labor agreement, and it will not be lined with roses. And it will be difficult. And most of them are approved.
I had my moment, I had my feelings, and that was fact.
But I went to truth. And I found in the book of Nehemiah that Nehemiah had the papers and he passed through the land. I said, glory to God, we're going to get the papers, we're going to pass through the land. I got scriptures about Abraham and I tacked. I printed that email and I turned it over, I put it flat on my refrigerator and I wrote scripture. And then I wrote approved. And every time I walked by approved in Jesus name Approved. In Jesus name, we kept a truth.
And those of you know what happened. Two years in bridging and labor agreements. Approved. We waited more time. We're filing for pr.
Hallelujah.
Truth, truth, truth.
The whole story will be revealed in the documentary. God's like, how are we gonna do this? We gonna do it in the grace of God.
Keep shining in adversity.
Don't let darkness, don't let circumstance silence your witness.
Sometimes the greatest light is seen in the hardest battles. We do so well to give the highlight reels. Well, you know, this happened and well, that happened. But what was the behind the scenes moments?
That's where the beauty is, right there.
Matthew 5:16 says, Let your light shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father, which is in heaven. This is why we let our light shine, so that they can see our good works even in the hardest battles.
And God will get the glory. Amen.
The enemy's plan is to move you.
His plan, Pastor Jeremy said it this morning, is to move you away from the word of God.
His plan is to move you away from prayer, communing with the Father. His plan is to move you away from faith and get you stuck in fear. His plan is to move you away from church, move you away from purpose, and move you away from peace.
But heaven's word is over you. Truth is over you.
Stand still.
And when you've stood still, keep standing still.
Listen to his voice.
Stay planted, stay believing, stay joyful, stay shining.
And let, like the apostle Paul, declare, none of these things shall move me.
Some put their trust in horses and in chariots.
Some put their trust in the world system.
Some put their trust in their job, in their husbands and their spouses, in people.
Put your trust in God.
Put your trust in God and declare none. None of these things shall move me.
None of these things move me so. Father, I just thank you.
I thank you, Lord, that we are a people this morning, that we will not be moved by fear, Lord. We will not be moved by pressure.
We will not be moved by what we see. We will not be moved by what we feel.
We will not be moved by betrayal, opinion, fear, delay.
We will not be moved.
I thank you, Father. I thank you, Jesus, that you carry us, that grace is carrying us.
Your grace is sufficient and your power is made perfect, even in our weakness.
Thank you, Jesus, that we have your joy, so that our joy might be full.
I thank you, Jesus, that you are with us.
I thank you, Jesus, that we are believers and we shine our lights in dark places and we boldly proclaim that none of these things will move us.
The enemy's plans will not move us. The enemy's plans will not shake us.
Hallelujah and glory be to God.
Father, I thank you that through Jesus we are unshakable, we are immovable.
Father, I thank you that you strengthen every heart you know, Lord, past me past I may not know, but you know, Father, and I pray that your spirit strengthen every heart, your spirit heal and bind every wound.
And Lord, I pray for restoration for every discouraged soul.
Oh, thank you Father for your spirit.
Thank you Father for the rivers of living water.
Let your fresh grace come now.
Let us align to a fresh truth and eternal promise. Focus and we declare that we will not be moved from face, purpose, joy, peace, love and we will finish our course with joy.
Thank you Father that we shine before all men so that you receive the glory. Father, in all we do, we give you glory and it's in the mighty name of Jesus, I pray.
Amen and amen and amen.
