Show Notes

This message unpacks the reality of living from freedom, not striving for it. Freedom in Christ is not earned—it’s received through identity, position, and relationship with Him. Rather than reacting from pressure, fear, or performance, believers are called to operate from their seated place in Christ: loved, healed, and chosen. The sermon contrasts religious striving with Spirit-led transformation, challenging old mindsets, and urging alignment with truth. Through renewing the mind and resting in God’s promises, this freedom becomes the foundation for peace, boldness, and purpose in every area of life.

Welcome to the World Changers Church Gold Coast Podcast. Join us as we listen to today's message. Man, thank God for this beautiful team. Thank you. They go from registering on tables to singing and playing pianos. My God, just servanthood. At the end of the service today, we're going to do communion together because I feel like it's very important that we gather this, amen, that we get this this morning. And you may think that I'm making this about me in this moment, but... I want to share with you why I believe the message I'm about to preach. Amen? Amen? Amen? Now, the biggest thing about this moment right here is I believe it so much I hope you pay attention and don't miss a sentence. Amen? I didn't buke anybody just then, did I? I don't know. If I did, if you were talking, I wasn't talking to you. Amen. But if you were talking, the Holy Spirit got you. Amen. No, I'm kidding. I'm kidding. We don't operate like that. Listen, so this past week, Glenn, where were we? Thursday, Friday, clonk curry or something like that? Yeah. Alex, we were somewhere in the middle of Australia. Cuyuna, I'm gonna mess it up. Don't even get me to say Australian words. It's just Tim Tam. You know, I'm just gonna mess them all up. I mean, the way I say it, kookaburra just messes everybody up. Well, we were in the middle of Australia driving back from Darwin. And, you know, I was planning on coming in Monday, relaxing for a couple of days and cruising into the conference and chilling. Well, long about, because most of you don't know, my wife is the director of the ministry at the office, and she had put this conference together, and I got a phone call. We had had water rise behind us and in front of us, and we ended up having to stay in a roadhouse. I already told that story. I won't tell it again. And I began to think about God and what was happening, and I got a phone call from my wife that her mom was found unresponsive, and she needed to get to America immediately. And she said, I'm gonna need you and Jeremy to step into the conference. And we said, okay. We had no idea what we were getting into. And as I began to feel what was happening, my first thoughts was, what's the devil doing? And God, why is this happening? And nah, nah, nah. And I went into some spiritual warfare. Then I realized, where am I fighting from? Where am I fighting from? And I was fighting for myself and my pain, not my promise and my position. You understand what I'm saying? And I said, God, what do you want me to see here? And he said, see, everybody sees that the 40 years in the wilderness was punishment, but I was preparing a people to go to war later while I was killing the armies they weren't ready for. If you read your Bible correctly, am I right? There was things happening because God was building a people in the wilderness, but he was also going ahead of them and killing the enemies they weren't ready for yet. The wrong perspective would see punishment. The right perspective would see promise. Amen? And if you're not living from who you are already, all you will ever see is what the devil tells you. And that's what grace does. This person, Jesus, tells you who you are right now. It brings us freedom. So to go more into the story, we get to the conference on Monday. I got driver, I got chauffeur duty, I got volunteer. I don't know, Lisa, what did we do? Volunteer, coordinator, security floor, security counter. We just filled in where we needed to get in, Jeremy. Next thing I know, Jeremy's doing words on the screen and cameras. I'm like, Lord, we're just doing what we gotta do. You can look at that a different way, but I said, Lord, what's going on here? And then, you know, as God's building up this strength in me, and again, I just got to tell you this story so this sermon makes sense to you, okay? Don't, please don't get a woe as me. I think I might've just went out. Don't get a woe as me. But then along Monday came, Monday night came, and Tina's mom had passed the first time. The second time she'd been brought back to life. And we had all preparing and everything like that. And boys, I know it's a hard day for you today. And we had been preparing for that. And so I got that phone call. Then I went to go buy something to eat. My card didn't work. I went to go transfer money, couldn't transfer money. The ATO had locked all my bank accounts. I'm in the middle of ushering Archie and Pastor around. I just got to keep a face on like, oh, everything's good. My mother-in-law's passing away. She's been a friend of mine for 25 years. I got no money. I can't pay my bills. Baby needs a new pair of shoes. And I was like, I sat down for the first time. First time I felt like this. And I called Jeremy and my two boys and said, boys, I don't know what I'm going to do. They just looked at me. They didn't know what to do either. And God spoke to me, said, well, can you do anything now? I said, nope, go to sleep, pray. And I got up and I thought the first thing I'd do would be trying to call the bank and work it out. The first thing I did is I went to serving because I had freedom in my heart that it was all taken care of because I was operating from promise. not practice. I was operating from my position in Christ, not my own strength. There's a difference when you start handling your challenges from who you already are in Christ instead of who the devil's trying to say you are, what circumstances are trying to say you are. Amen? Freedom brings a whole new personality and posture than practice ever will. Amen? Amen? Amen, we can practice being Christians for 40 years and not get it, and then one day get a revelation and you ain't got no words but, oh, Jesus, Lord, I don't know what to say, but isn't it so good? Oh, good Jesus. You don't understand. When it gets that good because you know God is ahead of you, you can realize that God wants to speak something powerful to you. and God is not wanting to bring you through something. He wants you to realize you're already above it. Y'all don't know what y'all, I'm so sleepy, y'all don't even know. It's all Holy Spirit, amen. So as we talk about living from who you are already in Christ, let me start by saying this. In Christ, we are not working to become someone else. All right? Look at your neighbor and say, stop trying. Amen? We're not working to become someone else. We're not striving to be loved, to be accepted, or to be free. We are already loved, we are already accepted, and we are already free. Amen? You don't have to prove nothing to nobody. My wife told me, she said that, I mean, man, I was just trying to talk to her about her mama and everything, her family, see if she's okay. She's like, is Patty and Claire good? Is Jeremy and this person? I mean, she's naming off everybody in the church. I think she must have went through all y'all. Everybody good? I was like, honey, I don't care how everybody is. I care about you. Why you got so much care in your heart? She said, because Jesus made me this way. Amen. Amen. Because she understands that as you're giving her love, she doesn't feel loveless. She feels she's full of love, so she's giving from that place. So she's not going empty. Amen? So when we're operating in freedom, we never have to, and we're operating from who we are, we never have to feel empty. Anybody ever feel empty? Because you're just trying so hard to be accepted. Man, I'm gonna tell you what, in certain circles, you just walk around and people don't talk to you and you just get offended so quick because you just, man, I'm gonna tell you what, I've been hanging out with a pastor all week and he's got some things on his head and you can get real offended if you're in yourself because he doesn't talk to you or look at you because he's got other things to think about. You understand what I'm saying? And if you're not mature in the spirit, you're gonna start operating from yourself instead of your freedom. Oh man, this is so good. I just love him so much. So John 8, 36 says this. So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free. I wonder, do I have any free people in here this morning? All right, I got four of you. Do I have any other free people in here this morning? Okay. I'm afraid we're gonna become a loud church, y'all. Praise the Lord. You are already free. The challenging part is to live from that truth. Amen? For those of you that don't kind of understand where I'm going yet, let me explain it this way. It's like a prince that was lost at birth. Like say this prince was born to a king and he was lost at birth and went and lived in poverty. Now, did that change his birthright? He's still a prince, right? But he's lived in poverty. And then all of a sudden, all the king's men and all the king's horses went and found him again, brought him back to the kingdom, and he is eating and not knowing his place at the table. He's asking can he have, but he doesn't realize that his position is a prince because he's still practicing being poor. Do I need to say that again? A lot of times when people find this freedom in Christ, they hear they're free, but they're still operating in the poverty of the law. They're still operating in the poverty of sin. They're still operating in the poverty of false identity and false humility and pride. But this freedom we have in Christ tells us the truth about ourselves that we need to learn how to act. how to accept our position, not our practice. Amen? Is this good? Now I've learned with Australians, y'all get quiet, that means y'all listening, amen. If y'all start throwing stuff, that means I need to be quiet. So John 8, 36 says, so if the Son sets you free, you are free indeed. You've heard that truth, but have you accepted it? How many times you go over to your mom and dad's house and say, can I get something out of the fridge? I don't. I'm going to go over there. I'm the son. I'm going to go straight to the fridge, grab whatever's in there and start making me a sandwich. Amen. Amen. It's about the fourth sandwich that my mom says something to me. Amen. But I don't have to ask to go to her bathroom. I don't have to ask to go to her refrigerator. I don't have to ask to go outside. I don't have to use her, I have access to everything in her home because I'm a son. You have the same thing in Christ Jesus. And you're still asking for promises. You're still asking God will he do it? Will he come through in the midnight hour? You're still asking will it happen? No, operate from a position that starts to not be entitled, there's a difference, but has a posture that's pure in heart that says, I know that my father has provided this to me out of his riches and glory. Philippians 4 and 19. Amen. Freedom takes a different posture. Freedom takes a different language, and if you live from who you already are, freedom will begin to have a speech in your mouth. Amen? Is this true? So where does freedom start? Truly, is it just lawless and without rules? We know we're not under the law, but we know the law is fulfilled through Jesus, but did grace make us reckless? No, it didn't give us freedom to sin. It gave us freedom from sin. Amen? Amen? Amen? So freedom starts in Ephesians 2, 4 through 6. It tells us because of God's great love, he made us alive in Christ and raised us up from him and seated us in heavenly places. Let's read it together. But God is so rich in mercy and he loved us so much that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised us from the dead, it's only by God's grace that you have been saved. For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. Now any Bible scholars in here, I want to analyze this When it says seated, that means done. In heavenly realms, that means now, because we are in Christ Jesus. Is this a later action? Is it a now thing? Then we need to start living like it's a now thing. Amen? Your freedom is a now thing. Amen? Your attitude is temporary. Everything that you stay focused on is your choice. I've learned something about this bulldog face of mine. I do know how to smile. But if I intensely think too much, this is all people get. I had no problem looking like security at the beginning of services. Standing up there front counting people. Oh, hey, how you doing? And then people felt safe, amen? It's what you focus on is what you give power to. If you focus on sin, sin is gonna be what produces in your life. But if you focus on righteousness, I am the righteousness to God, I am right with God, that is what's gonna begin to produce in your life, amen? Amen? You're gonna learn from your mistakes. You're going to grow in maturity and not continue to make and have the same habits. That's freedom. Amen? You know, praise the Lord. You've been raised up with him and seated in heavenly places. So I wanna say something very radical right here. It may be radical to you, it may not be, but we are not working towards a position, we are living from a position. Amen? I'm not looking to be healed, I'm operating from my healing. Amen? But it still hurts. What you focus on, you give power to. Now, if you break your leg and the bone's sticking out, you need to go to the doctor. Amen. Take some natural things to heal that. Amen. But still pray. Still believe in the supernatural. I'm going to tell you what. Up until my mother-in-law's last breath, they were believing for a miracle. And my wife didn't skip a beat. And all she said the moment she passed was she went from one miracle to the next. Does that mean my wife didn't cry? Oh, she's shattered this morning. But she has a posture and a position that can take us through anything that happens in life. Man, the devil will try and throw so many red lights and detours and slow down signs at you. And if you stop and listen long enough, you'll just be detoured. Why are we listening to him when we have him? Amen? Amen? Amen? You're not working towards a position, you're working from a position. Amen? I'm gonna talk a little bit more about it so we get that. 2 Corinthians 5 and 17 says, I'm gonna read this one and I'm gonna read that one. If anyone is in Christ, he's a new creation. The old is gone and the new is here. Let's look at this. This means that anyone that belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old person is gone and a new life has begun. Well, why we got mean Christians then? Nasty Christians. You know, Don, I can't believe you didn't come to church this morning. Vicki and Don, where you at? You know it's a sin to not be in church this morning. I don't care that you were at rehearsals 12 hours a day, beating drums for four days and your arms are probably about to fall off. You gotta come serve Jesus. We gonna pray for Nick and his critical spirit. But the reality is is that that's how most people feel in church because it's operating from Christianity. Church is operating from Christianity instead of Christ. Christians and religion, and the word religion is not a bad word. For all those that say I'd rather have religion over a relationship, I need you to stop because religion, it means an outworking of what one believes, okay? Religion is not a bad thing. We just have bad religion out there, amen? And the Bible says pure religion is this, so go find out what that is, and you'll know where Jesus' heart is. So we're not working... towards something, we're working from something. So that means that we are in Christ, we are a new creation. So church, this means you're new, you're a child of God, and you are the righteousness of God. All right, yeah, praise God. You just got a million dollars, one billion dollars, woo. You are new. You are a child of God, and you are the righteousness of God. Everybody told me when I got my new truck, well, when the new wears off, you won't care. That's because the new wears off. Christ does not wear off in you. Amen. You stay new in him. You are always his child and you are always the righteousness of God. And he is reminding you of that every time you fail when you return to him with a repentant heart. Because repentance is not a bad word. It just simply means change of heart and change of mind. I'm tired of feeling condemned in church. I want to feel convicted in church. Listen, listen, I want you, your life to be so good that I'm not jealous that I'm going, Lord, I'm convicted to know more about how they serve you so that I can receive in the same manner. Because they've accessed something and they understand something that I don't understand yet. Amen? Condemnation comes from, I can't do it, so I'm gonna blame everybody else. Did I say that out loud? Okay. So imagine someone living in a house. This is what freedom without Christ looks like. Now I want you to catch this. You ready? This is what freedom without Christ looks like. You about to just high five your neighbor. You about to just go, oh man, I'm gonna tell you what, we're gonna have fun today. Imagine someone that they've got a house fully paid for, but they are still paying rent or mortgage every week. I'm going to say that again, because some of y'all just want that house fully paid for. Hallelujah. Imagine somebody that has a house fully paid for, but they're still paying their mortgage every week, paying their mortgage every month. Why? Because they got into a practice of doing that. They are now in the position of homeowner and they haven't left being lended to yet. They still trying to earn the home they live in. And they just keep paying rent and keep paying. If you're paying tithe to earn your righteousness, you are the same person as that person. If you're still begging God for what you need from him, you're still that same person. But when I tell you, you are now a creation in Christ. You are a homeowner. You have left the old ways. You are now the lender, not the borrower. You are the head and not the tail. You are the beginning and not the end. Because you came in last, you will be the first. There's something new happening in you because of Christ. Amen? Lord Jesus. Amen? You know what amen means, by the way? So be it. You just said, so be it to all that. That's why you shout like that. Not like, oh, my neighbor said amen, so. Crowd control. No, you're getting excited because of what Jesus has done in you. Amen. Amen. What happens is when you don't know your identity, you keep trying to pay the price. God has already had Jesus pay it all. God does not look at you through the lens of your past. He sees you through the finished works of Jesus. You know, every time I take off my glasses, for some reason, the world gets blurry. I'm believing God for the healing in my eyes. I'm operating from my healing. But every time that I get up in the morning, I'm reminded that something needs to go into focus. Paul said, I die daily. Sometimes you just need to take the flesh on and put grace on early in the morning so that things get into focus. When you woke up this morning, oh, Jesus, I done hung out with pastor way too long. When you woke up this morning, did you put your grace on? Mm-mm. Amen. Timmy said I'm the teacher of the house. Let me say it. Let me say it. Let me say it. Romans 8 and 1 says, therefore, there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. I am not judged. I am not condemned. I am not convicted what I am. I am in Jesus. Therefore, in him, I have my righteousness and he leads me in all right ways to live in him and for him. And as long as my eyes are on him, I can live for him and not from me. Amen. Jesus. 1 Peter 2 and 9 says, but you are a chosen people. Oh my Jesus, y'all better get this. Sorry, new folk. Sorry, new people. Y'all don't know me. The rest of y'all do. Just buckle up, strap in. Exits are to your left. Bathrooms are there. If the power goes out. No, I'm just kidding. You are a chosen people. You are a royal priest, a holy nation in God's very possession. Now, the beautiful thing about the old covenant, when this was spoken to the Israelites, as a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. So this is not a law, This is a covenant, this is a promise, and because the old covenant was fulfilled and made the new covenant, this promise transferred to the Gentile, meaning that what they had, I now have, and I'm a chosen people, I have a high priest, I am a royal priesthood, I have a holy nation. Oh my God, did they catch that? Amen. You just shout if you're the only one, do it. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God. Church, I want to be a church that when people come in here, we ain't showing them our teen ministry and our children's ministry and our singles ministry. Surely not. And Lord knows, Lord knows we need a marriage ministry. But we ain't talking about the amenities. We're talking about the goodness of God and how he called us out of darkness into light. Lord Jesus. So I got to ask you a question. Who do you believe that you are? Amen. Who do you believe that you are? Well, I'm Kyle Self. That's just a title you were given. That's on your birth certificate, but I'm the righteousness of God. I'm a child of God. I'm a new creation. I'm His chosen people. I'm a royal priesthood. I'm His holy nation. I am His temple. Amen. Do you understand? You know, I love people that say Jesus reflects off me. Honey, that was old covenant. He reflects through you. Amen. Old covenant, you just reflected him. New covenant, he shines from you. Amen. That was so good. Amen. Amen. We got a preaching church today. Come on, man. Come on. I love y'all this morning. What happened to y'all? It's like y'all been in a conference all week long. Lord Jesus, what happened to me? I hear whispers now. They're like, keep pastor tired. Amen. Who do you believe that you are? Have you been believing as a child of God or have you been believing as a spiritual orphan? A spiritual orphan is looking for a daddy. I know who my daddy is, amen. Hashim, the name. Man, I learned that one, that was great. I was like, the only thing good about that TV series, but praise the Lord. Those that know, know. Amen. My dad, yeah, right? She knows. She knows exactly what I'm talking about. But my daddy has a name. Amen? I'm not looking for a daddy. I'm not looking for a house. I'm not looking to borrow a car. I have these things. Me and Patty's conversations have changed from when I'm talking about problems. I'm sure you can testify to this, Patty. If not, we just need to keep praying. I've stopped saying I don't know what I'm gonna do and just say it's gonna all work out. It's just gonna all work out. This too shall pass. When you start believing the word and you believe that you're in him and you believe that you're with him and you're operating from the position you are in him, problems are not problems anymore. They're just opportunities for His glory to shine. Eight minutes, and I'm only on point two. Okay. Freedom flows into freedom. So we talked about where freedom's from. Let's talk about where freedom flows from. It flows, obviously, from how you think. Amen. Romans 12, two reminds us, did I give you that one? Yeah, thank me. Don't copy the behavior or the customs of this world. Right now, the custom of this world is to go complain on social media. but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. I've decided that I'm fasting from social media. We did seven days of it. I'm going to do it for the month. I'm just so tired of the negativity that I keep seeing. I want to change the way I think, so I want to stay away from negative. I don't want to stay away from negative people because I need to be the positivity in their life. I just no longer let my ears be trash cans to their mouth. Amen? I don't have to leave them. I just, yep, praise the Lord, just not letting that enter here. Hallelujah. Because when you change the way you think, then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. We've read that a hundred times. I don't want to point something out. When you change the way you think, you will know the will of God for you which is good, which is pleasing, which is mature and perfect. I'm going to say it again. Freedom comes from changing the way you think and learning and knowing God's will for you. You may have had a daddy or a mama that you just didn't know where you stood. You just knew to duck and cover when they came home from work. And that has trained you about authority. You may have a bad boss, and authority is something that's scary to you. And all those things have formed a reaction. to how you see or view persons or entities and authority, but I'm telling you right now, freedom comes from knowing that God wants good for you. Amen? I'm gonna slow down just a minute because I got real excited myself. Philippians 4 and 8 instructs us to think about a few things. And now, dear brothers and sister, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true. 93% of what you think is not even true when it's operating out of fear. Amen? So think about what is true, what is honorable, what is right, what is pure, what is lovely, what is admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all you've learned and received from me, everything you've heard from me and saw in me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you. A lot of people thought I was serving. Paul was telling people what you've seen in me, right? What Paul was saying to Philippi, his letter to the church in Philippi, what you've learned and seen in me, I had an opportunity to show you how to serve in the conference. I could have just hung out in the green room. Pastor Donald, you know, he's a spiritual father and he wants to talk to me. I could have done this, I could have done that. I could have done a hundred other things. I put on a shirt and I made myself nameless. I had someone ask me, and it was so beautiful, Claire, Pat, all you guys, man, the leaders here, it was so beautiful. You know what they asked me? They said, so what church do you serve at? I said, hallelujah, undercover boss, hallelujah. I said, I'm actually the pastor. They said, oh. Almost like, well, what did you do wrong? I said, I just wanted to take the opportunity to remind myself what it is to serve and to show people what it is to serve when you have the peace of God with you. Amen. Is he gonna ask for volunteers next week? Sure am. Think of it like a thermostat or a thermometer when we read this verse. A thermometer only reflects its environment, but a thermostat changes it. Amen? Are you reacting to the environment around you or are you changing the environment around you? See, freedom will change its environment. Poverty will react to what's happening. We don't just reflect our circumstances. We set our minds on things above. Amen? The enemy wants to attack our minds. He wants to plant lies and say you're not good enough. You're always gonna be stuck. God can't use you. But you know what God says to all that? You are loved, you are chosen, and you are seated in Christ. You ain't stuck. You can be used. God never called the qualified. He qualified the unqualified. Amen. God is doing things, man. Hallelujah. You may think you're broken, but he has used so many broken things before because he is coming into you and he's showing you that Christ has mended you and you're thinking you're broken, but he's made you a new creation. Amen. So practice these steps. Get in the Word. Don't just depend on your local church on Sunday morning. Don't just depend on conferences or podcasts. Get in the Word. What you're feeding your mind with and meditating on will actually produce action. Pray truth-based prayers. Some days people say pray out loud, and I'm like, uh-uh, you don't want to hear this conversation between me and God. Amen? Because you've got to come to God real. He doesn't want some puffy prayer. He wants you to operate as a son would talk to a father. Daddy, I'm hurting today. This doesn't feel good. I've been doing it for a week now. Surround yourself with a faith-filled community. When everything was happening in my life in these past few days, nobody knew. except the people that I drew close to me. If you're close to me and I think highly of you and you ask me if I'm okay, I'm gonna give you my natural response, no. But I'm good because he strengthens me. Amen? Because if I tell you, yeah, I'm fine and wide, clicking like a chicken, everything's good, I'm kicking the devil's butt, so I'm gonna mud hole him with the Holy Spirit power. Yeah, you know what? You're gonna try and live up to that in your pain. And then when you fail, you're gonna think you're not good enough. I'm gonna be honest with you to show you that I need Jesus too so that we can come together in prayer and remind each other of our position in Christ. Is this good? If it is, give the Lord a hand clap of praise. I'm gonna skip that one verse. I ain't gonna go to that. Freedom produces fruit from identity. You know the only thing I'm a prisoner of? Freedom. I like that. You know the only thing I'm a prisoner of? Love. You know the only thing I'm a prisoner of? Holy Spirit. You know the only thing that I'm a prisoner of? Jesus. He's got me held captive, y'all. Oh, Jesus. I love me some Jesus. All right. I'm going to tell y'all why. Let's read this scripture. Therefore, I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, oh, man, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. Amen. Listen, when I ask you to do that, when Paul asks you to do that, Paul doesn't say live worthy to earn a calling. He says live worthy because you already have a calling. I tell people all the time, your character doesn't match up with your anointing, you need to grow up. And they're like, where did that come from? The flesh or the spirit? Both. But it's true. Yeah, but not, the nice nasty, yeah? That's some dirty shoes. I'd never wear those. Amen. He said that this weekend. Yeah, amen. I'm not going to go there. Paul is telling us that we need to operate from what we already have. If you got a million dollars and you're saying, I ain't got no money for food, it's because you just don't believe it's yours. Colossians says, as God's chosen people, do I have that one? Yeah. As God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourself with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. When you know who you are, it changes how you live. Just like a royal family member carries himself differently, knowing our spiritual identity changes our behavior naturally. A lot of people will tell us that grace is messy and that we're giving people license to sin. Where in the world do people get that? This gives us freedom from sin, freedom not to sin, freedom Because the Holy Spirit, in Galatians 5, 22, but the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives. Who produces it? Holy Spirit. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control, and there's no law against these things. You want to know somebody's fruit? Put them under pressure. And all that fake will dissipate. Did I say that? Yeah, I did. Amen. And the mask will come off and it's either going to be nasty or it's going to be Jesus. I almost cried this morning when I was driving down the road, guys. And those that know me know that I'm going to struggle when I say this. I was driving down the road and I was praising God and God messed me up, y'all. He messed me up good. He said, I'm proud of you. I ain't never heard that from God because my heart had to get rid of some old stuff. He said, I'm proud of you. I said, for what, God? The way you reacted. The way you fell into my arms. The way you held your team up when you had no strength. I said, I couldn't have done it without you, God. And I'd realized then I've been living life way too hard. I've been living life trying to produce this fruit. And the Holy Spirit, when we stay on him, will produce this fruit. Christ has truly set us free. Galatians 5 and 1, now make sure that you stay free and don't get tied up again in the slavery of the law. Come on, somebody should just shout right there. These fruits are not how we get to God. They are evidence of God already with us. Come on, somebody. Oh, my God, did you hear what I just said? These fruits are not how we get to God. They're evidence of God already with us. Stop living like a slave. God called you as a son and daughter. Stop striving for approval when you already have God's acceptance. You don't have to fake it till you make it. You just need faith in it. Amen. You just need faith. Faith it. I don't know if that'll work, but we'll try. Faith it because you made it. Hallelujah. You don't have to work harder. Oh, Lord. Well, listen to this one. You don't have to work harder. You just need to believe deeper. I'm going to mess myself up here, y'all. I'm going to give myself an offering. Hold on. Lord Jesus, just had to switch the money from one pocket to another. That deserves a double portion. Hallelujah. For y'all that don't understand the joke, it's okay. You don't need to become someone else. You need to live from who you already are. Father, I thank you. Lifted hand, open hearts, please. Father, I thank you that in Christ we are already fully free, fully loved, fully forgiven. Help us. to see this truth. Reveal this revelation in us. Teach us to renew our minds and to live from the identity you have already given us. Let us reflect from the freedom and the purpose you have already provided. In Jesus' name, amen. Will you say this with me? I am who God says I am. I am free. I am loved. I am forgiven. I am seated with Christ. I will live from who I already am. By his power and his Holy Spirit, I am the righteousness of God in Jesus' name. Amen. Give the Lord a hand clap of praise. For those of you that are wondering when I'm gonna quit, my watch died. I didn't know what time it was, but I think y'all got over it pretty quick. I gotta ask you a question, every head bowed and every eye closed, if you'd lift your hand. We've had some fun today. We've laughed, we've cried, and we've done a lot of things. Maybe you don't have this freedom. I'm not going to isolate you. I'm not going to point you out. I want to receive this freedom. I want to walk in this freedom. If that's you, can you raise your hand? Amen. Thank you. Thank you for the hands. Thank you for the hands. Thank you for the hands. Hallelujah. Thank you for the hands. You can put your hands down and everybody just lift your hands right now. Let's just receive from the Holy Spirit. Father, we declare right now this revelation of freedom of living from who we already are. We declare right now that everyone know you more personally, more clearly, and we pray that they have an experience of an Abba Father, not just a God. We pray that, Lord God, that religion is no longer their practice, but religion with relationship is how they live and posture and position with you. We pray and ask, Lord, you to reveal these things in them. It's in Jesus' name, and we all say amen. They'd be free like the kids upstairs. You know, I'm glad we got a church with life because that means we're growing and going. Go for the Gold Coast. Y'all want to do communion together? Let's pass out communion and we're going to just close with this. And Kenny's already come up and given us a beautiful atmosphere. I thank you, brother. I believe we need to take communion over this because if you don't understand communion, communion is a reminder as often as you can remind yourself who Christ Jesus is and what he's done for you. And maybe communion has been done differently and you got to get right before you take it. But let me tell you, you are right and we can celebrate it. Amen. I'll need one too if that's all right. Thanks, brother. New people, I hope that somebody talks to you and says hello and invites you out to coffee, gets to know where you are. You know, if you haven't found a Grace Church, you haven't found a church, I'd love for you to come and join us and discover who we are. And we'd invite you just to be a part and connect with our community. You can do that at the Connect desk. But as we take this bread, I'm in... I'm going to have trouble doing this, Jeremy. I'm so messed up in Jesus. Amen. Oh man. Y'all love him. Y'all love him. Do you love him? I love him, man. I love Jesus. I ain't ashamed to admit that I'm his bride. Hallelujah. Yeah. Yeah. Thank you, brother. And, uh, thank you so much, brother. I appreciate that. And, uh, Oh, I made a mess, look at that. Father, this morning we come to you before Jesus not to sanctify ourself, we've been made holy through your Son. We're reminded as we come up on Easter of the broken body that was given for our healing. And that body is sufficient, therefore that's why I have healing no matter what I face in my body or in my mind. I'm healed in spirit. And so, Lord Jesus, I thank you and I celebrate with you this morning this healing we now have in you. You may take and you may eat. It says in the Bible that he gave an offering that was once and for all sufficient. That means my past, present, and future sins are forgiven and paid for. And through that, he gave us the Holy Spirit to help us walk out a sinless life. He also said that if you fall, you have an advocate with the Father Christ Jesus you can go to and commit your first works, which is having a change of heart and mind. So this in which we receive today is to celebrate the freedom that we live from sin and that we have a life that's in covenant with Jesus. You may take, you may drink. Ushers will have a bucket at the door to collect those from you. So you just hold on to that and throw it out as you go. But Father, we pray this morning for all those that are taking rest that diligently served this week. For all those that attended the conference and are taking rest this morning. Father, I thank you that that is the very intention of this day. Let no one be judged. Let no one be told you missed a good service this morning. Thank God we put it on the podcast. But let us all celebrate the rest of what we have in Jesus. I pray for our Mondays and our Fridays too. And Lord, I thank you for as we appear again here on Sunday, that we will receive a message based around your gift to this world. when Jesus rose again for us. It's in Jesus' name we pray, and we all say amen. I'm going to tell you this, and I'll run. I love you. Thank you for tuning in to today's message.
