[00:00:00] Welcome to the World Changers Church Gold Coast Podcast. Join us as we listen to today's message.
[00:00:10] Anybody else here undone? I'm undone. I'm kind of sniffing and crying at the same time. So apologies.
How are we all this Sunday morning?
Are we good?
Excellent. Happy with that. We got greats over here. We got goods. We're all doing well, so that is good. We're talking about this morning. Grace.
This is a challenging one for me because I've been going through my own journey recently. The past couple of weeks, there's been a few little things going on in the background, a few things happening, and I've really had to apply grace to situations that are kind of out of my control. But the interesting fact of this is that when I step up here to talk about grace, I was taught and I was trained through faith.
And Pastor Tina last week talked about faith, and all of a sudden, God's put on my heart this week to bring grace, and I'm challenged. Somebody said to me the other day, they said, look, Dr. Dollar, he preaches an amazing preach on grace. Have you listened to it? And I was like, no, I don't want to listen to it. I haven't listened to it on purpose because I don't want to get things mixed up because he's an amazing preacher of grace. And today, the message that I'm bringing is Grace Unleashed. That's the title that I have for it.
So bless. Yeah. Who sneezed there now? Sorry. There we go. Bless you. Right. Excuse me. Still sniffing here. So grace isn't something you earn.
It's something that God gives freely, not because of who you are, but because of who he is. Who's heard that before?
There's a few people that will have heard that before. Some people this may be a remembrance of. And to others, you may never have heard it before. But it's not about you.
Nothing to do with you. It's all to do with them. Yeah. Who's ever given that statement to somebody before in the past? You know, like, it's not you, it's me. Yeah, you're breaking up with somebody. Listen, you're fantastic, but it's not you, it's me. I'm going on a different journey. Yeah. This isn't about you. This is all about God. Get yourself out the way. Grace has nothing to do with you. It's not something that you've earned. There's nothing you can do to receive the grace. This is everything that God gave for you. You could take A look straight away at John 3:16. For God so loved the world that he gave his son, there is grace in a nutshell.
He loved the world. He loved creation. He created the world. He created you for a purpose.
You have grace on your life. You stand in grace because of him, not because of you.
Undeserved favor and the basis of salvation as well.
Grace encapsulates salvation because Jesus died for you.
Jesus died for me.
Jesus died for the children that aren't here yet.
Jesus died for the people that aren't sat in the seats beside you yet. Jesus died for everybody. So that you have salvation. You have a way to heaven, but you are reconnected back to Him. That that sin that destroyed everything, that broke the world is no longer broken. It is pieced back together now through grace, through Jesus on a cross who died for you.
That's the remembrance of what grace is. That's the depth of what grace says. That's the seriousness of what Grace says.
Romans 5:1-2.
Therefore, having been justified. In fact, I'm reading it up here because I'm reading the wrong verse down here. Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God within that scripture, we have faith mentioned. Faith and grace. Grace and faith, they go hand in hand. They have to go hand in hand. Without faith, there is no grace, and without grace, there is no faith.
You are justified by faith. You have peace with God through Jesus, through whom we also have access by faith into his grace in which you stand.
If you're here today and you're saved, you stand in grace.
You have it in abundance around you. You have it. Grace is yours. You stand in it.
Who uses it?
Who struggles to use it?
I struggle to use grace. Absolutely.
Grace is all about Him. And it's not us. It's God's decision. It's not our performance.
Remember that. It's God's decision, not our performance. Hebrews 11:6. It says, but without faith, it is impossible to please God.
Without faith, you can't please Him.
Without faith, you can't please Him. But, Patty, you're talking about grace here. Why are we hanging on faith so much?
Because to please God, we need to have faith.
Because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek Him.
There's key words in there.
Now. There's people out there that Believe that the world came from nothing, that we are nothing.
So without nothing, we can't please God, because there's no faith in nothing, is there? I can't have faith in something that doesn't exist.
The people out there believe that we come from nothing, we are nothing. So that means that effectively we go to nothing afterwards. But my faith in God challenges that. It contradicts it because my God is real.
It contradicts that the world came from nothing because Jesus on a cross, love, mercy, faith, grace, it all encapsulates the love of Jesus on a cross. And that is nothing more than a miracle for you and for me, because it's undeserved.
If we come from nothing, then we are nothing by that expression of faith.
See, ironically, even they believe something, it's a challenge.
But we are created in God's image. Genesis 1:27 tells us that created in God's image for a purpose, we have value.
And rather than coming from nothing, we come from a loving creator.
We come from God. We come from Abba, Father, for a purpose.
He created us for a relationship with him, Created by Him. For Him. His grace gives life meaning beyond this world.
Know who you are.
Know who you are.
Father God, we just thank you this morning.
Father God, we thank you that you are revealing yourself in ways that have never been revealed before. Father, we thank you for the people that are here, for the people that are going to hear this podcast. Father, we thank you that they have ears to hear the grace and the mercy that you have over their lives. Father, take me out of the way. Father, give me grace today to present your word, your truth. Father, speak loud, speak clear to people in here that are challenged, that are doubting. Father, let them hear and hear and hear the love that you have, the reason why they were created, the plan and the purpose that you have over their lives. Thank you, Jesus, as we give this over to you in your precious name.
Amen.
Saved by grace, not by works, eh?
We kind of touched that on there, but we look at Ephesians 2:6-9.
I'm going to read this Timmy off the new King James down here because I'm going to come back to the notes. So if you can change that, that would be much appreciated. So it says, and raised God, raised us up together and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace and his kingdom towards us in Christ Jesus.
For by grace you have been saved through faith that not of yourselves it is a gift of God, not of works. Lest anyone should boast quite a lot in there. And normally people jump to verses eight and nine, but we will look at the first part of this, which is that God raised us together with Jesus to sit beside, not to be set apart over here.
So in heaven we're not set apart, right? Listen, you've died, you've gone to heaven. You're a good Christian, but you're going to sit over there away from everybody else. You are raised with Jesus Christ. You are sat beside Jesus Christ. You are not a secondary thought, a secondary action. Pushed to the side. You are there, embraced into his arms. This is who you are. This is the reason why salvation is there.
To be embraced by Him. Not to be left to decide, but to be brought in. You are part of the family, a brother and a sister in Christ.
Faith and grace. As I've said before, they go side by side. They are one without the other. Romans 5:8 says, But God demonstrates His own love towards us now, while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
We can't have faith without grace. And we can't have grace without faith.
Can't exist.
Grace without faith. What am I giving somebody grace for?
If I have faith but no grace, then who am I?
What am I known by? Who are we?
Does the fruits of the Spirit show through when I have no grace, but I believe in God? How many times do we see Christians that turn around and say, listen, I don't have to go to church, I've got a relationship over here, but I don't need to be with anybody else. It's just me and God.
Show me the fruits of the Spirit. What's happening in your life?
Where are you with that? Where's your learning? Where's your growth? Where's your understanding? Where's Jesus showing up? Where's the miracles that are happening? Where's the worship that you are given?
We can all turn around and say, I'm a Christian. Yeah, I'm a Christian, but I'm doing nothing with that gift that he has given us. I'm doing nothing with the grace that he gave onto your life, that standing grace, we're standing in grace.
I'm doing nothing with that. If I am not coming to learn, to grow, to exceedingly gain more insight into Him. I want to be more like Christ.
But how can I be more like Christ if I don't know who he is?
If I don't pick up my Bible, I will never learn who he is. I will never understand who he is. If I don't come to church and speak with people who know more than me, then I will never know more than what I know right now. Do what you do until you know better. When you know better, do better.
Do better at learning who Jesus is. Do better at learning why he gave his life for you. Do better at showing the grace and the mercy that he has shown you to somebody else.
There was a challenge that I had this week. I went for a run, stupidly, on a hot day as well. I ran 6km. And I'm saying that to show that even at 115kg, I can still run 6k. I might have died halfway around, but that's by the by. I still survived it. But as I was running, God said to me, he said, forgiveness.
This was on Tuesday. I said, forgiveness.
I said, hold on a second. I'm preaching on grace.
Why have you got me going for a run and then talking to me about forgiveness?
And it kind of popped in my head. He said, well, I'm taking you for a run because you're not going to answer me back. You're going to listen. Yeah, I'm too busy breathing hard. Yeah. I can't argue back with God when I'm doing that. It's like, hold on a second, God, I'm going to stop. No, keep running. Right, okay, so forgiveness. He's talking about forgiveness. And I'm like, right, okay. I've gone through a journey recently of forgiveness.
And I thought, wow, are you changing stuff for me? Are you changing this preacher? We're going to forgiveness now, not grace. And he said, bear with me. I said, okay, Forgiveness, Restoration.
Okay, right. What does forgiveness give us?
There's people whispering something there. People are saying something. What does forgiveness give us?
Restoration. Yeah, we're saying that. Restoration. We're happy with restoration. It gives us restoration. Okay, I'm thinking, right, God, restoration. Right. So forgiveness. Forgiveness of what?
Forgiveness of my neighbour, forgiveness of my friends. Forgiveness of a person who hurt me. Right. We're talking about restoration here. What does this mean? Restoration. What is this? Reconciliation. Restoration. What does that mean? Where are we going?
I've ran for 6K, 38 minutes. He's talking to me about this. Bang. Restoration, restoration, restoration. I'm like, But I'm asking hard questions here.
When we come to restoration and we have people that we need to forgive, I'm like, well, you can forgive people, but you don't have to have people back in your life.
Restoration.
I'm like, man, how do we get restoration then? I don't want somebody back in my life who's hurt me. I don't want somebody back in my life who's had affairs, who's cheated on me, who's gossiped on me, who's done some horrible things on me. How do we get restoration there? And he said, man, you still haven't got this.
Restoration's not about you and that person. Forgiveness is restoration between me and you.
Get yourself out of the way.
Restoration between me and you, Your spirit coming back together. That's where forgiveness comes through. And I'm like, wow, there is grace on that, because I've been walking in unforgiveness. But he still gave me grace to keep doing what I was doing, even though I still had things that were unforgiven in me. Restoration. It's not about you.
It's always about him. That restoration of you back to the Father, that was restoration. I had 38 minutes of that, and I've given you three. You're lucky. Honestly. If you'd have been in my head during that run, that was not pretty. There was some things going on, but grace isn't divine permission to do wrong.
How many people have you heard going, I'm saved. It's all right. I can do whatever I want because God's going to forgive me again. Yeah, he definitely does.
I'm just getting my - gah, you just want to sometimes look at people and go, seriously?
Really? You can go off and do whatever you want. You give your life to Christ one day, and the next day you're off doing everything and anything, and you're like, that's okay. Have a word with yourself. That's not okay.
That's not okay. Grace isn't the permission to go and keep doing what you were doing.
Never has been, never will be. Listen, we all make mistakes. Yeah. If you make a same mistake twice, called choice.
Hey, you can make a mistake once. You make the same mistake twice, called a choice. We choose.
Grace is not permission to do bad things. Grace is not that. Grace isn't divine permission to do wrong. It's divine power to live right.
That's what grace is for you.
The power and authority that you have by the Holy Spirit gives you that ability to live, right? Yes. It gives you the ability that Jesus had to be able to do signs, wonders and miracles here on earth. Yeah. The gift of the Holy Spirit within you. That's the divine power that you have to love. Right. What is the point of going out there and living wrong? Because you do not walk in authority. You do not have that power and authority in there. You're doing the wrong things. But when you love right, the grace on your life allows that to overflow from you the power and authority that you have through Jesus Christ, through the Holy Spirit, that indwells in you, that outworks through you the fruits of the Spirit that you have.
Romans 5:20-21.
Moreover, the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more so that a sin reigned in death. Even so, grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Grace doesn't excuse sin.
It empowers us to live holy.
Pastor Kyle talked about holy quite recently.
It doesn't excuse sin, but it empowers you to live holy.
We still make choices. We still have choices that we make every day. Romans 12:2 tells us to renew our mind every day. That means we got to take hold of that flesh. We have to live set apart from what the flesh is, to live holy.
How many people stay away from church because they haven't got it right?
How many times have you heard people turn around and say, I tell you what, I'm not going to come to church this week. I've got to square away this little problem I have.
And you're like, you do realise God sees that little problem plus everything else that is a problem in your life. He sees that. Yeah, he sees everything. He's onto it. He sees it all. Yeah. People turn around, they say, I'm going to fix this little problem before I come to church.
What's even scarier than that is the Christians, the people that should know better, that turn around and say, I'm not going to come to church until I do better, until I get this sorted, until I get this squared away. But then we drop into Zechariah 4:6. Not by strength, nor by might, but by the Spirit. I'm a strong man, but I can't do it all. I've got a lot of might, but I can't do it all. It's only through the Holy Spirit that I can do things.
So to come to church is where I get filled up. So as I come here, I get filled up. There are people that know more than me. They feed me. It's the overflow that I'm giving to everybody else. Not a full cup. If I give a full cup, then all of a sudden that cup's going to get empty. What's filling you up? Staying away from church does not fill you up. Staying away from church doesn't mean that you get everything right out there. Then you come in here and show everybody. Tell you what, look at me, I've got it all going.
That's not what it's about. These verses tell us not to boast in ourselves, but to boast in the Lord. What has God done through your life? What has God done for you? What are the miracles that have happened? What has he done in you that is transformational, that is going to inspire somebody else to follow the Lord, not follow you.
That's what we're looking for, to follow the Lord, not to follow you. It doesn't matter what stage you stand on. It doesn't matter if you're called into fivefold ministry or not. You've got a testimony, each and every one of you.
You have been given grace and you get to share that grace. You get to speak. It's the fruit of the Spirit that comes out. It's the fruit of the Spirit that will transform somebody because they see something different about you. They don't see the old you, they see the new creation.
That's where we're at.
Grace is not dead theological doctrine. Grace is not founded on human performance. And grace is not a passive attitude that God has to us. Grace is not cheap. It's God's grace, not our effort, that sustains us. Grace doesn't mean keep sinning. God will forgive. It means live free, God has forgiven.
To be here, to be in Jesus, to have him as your Lord and Saviour means that you are forgiven. To know your identity in Christ, that knows who you are. A child of God, an heir states in heir that you are forgiven. You get to make a choice.
To live for God or to live for you.
I know who I would rather live for.
I know the times that I fall afoul of living for me because it goes wrong.
And I know the times where I put God front and I put him centre and he takes charge of everything and I walk in his steps because he's got a better path than I ever had.
I followed my path for far too long. Didn't get me anywhere.
Got me a lot of worldly stuff. Got me a lot of worldly problems. I follow Christ, I'm granted heaven. I'm granted eternity.
I'm granted grace over that past that I had.
And he loves me still.
The devil knows your name, but calls you by your sin.
God knows your sin, but calls you by your name.
That's where we are. That's who we are.
He knows you intimately.
He is there beside you, has never left you Even when you're doing the wrong things, God is there beside you. I tried to run away from God. It's impossible. Can't do it. I can imagine God stood on my shoulder every time I was doing stuff wrong when I was in the world going, Paddy, man, what are you doing? I just want you to go this way.
Look, just. It's like leading a new puppy. Come this way. No, he's not going that way. Right, let's go get him. Again. It just consistently. Oh, seriously, I can't comprehend the patience of God. As I can't comprehend the grace of God that he had just for me. Wow. He blows me away. Seriously, we're living by grace. We're not just saved by it. Romans 6:11. So you should also consider yourselves to be dead to the power of sin and alive to God through Jesus Christ. See, as we teach people to be saved by grace, we often forget to teach people how to live by grace.
It's quite easy to stand up and say, here, listen. You’re saved by grace.
Okay, cool. What do I do next? We gotta live by grace.
Okay, Right. What's that? Interesting. So the difference between being saved by grace and living by grace. Grace saves in a moment, but living by grace transforms us for a lifetime.
If I don't know my Bible, then I don't know God. If I don't know my Bible, I don't know the reason why I'm saved. That's a lifetime of study just to find that. A lifetime of study just to understand who Jesus is in my life. A lifetime of study to go out and to speak to every man, woman and child in this planet, to show them the grace and the mercy and the love of Jesus.
Because it changed my life forever. The joy that I had whenever I gave my life was something that I can't even describe. The tears that ran down my face, something that I can't even describe, but I remember them intimately.
Some people don't have that. Some people just have a. Yeah, you know what? It makes sense to me. I'm going to give my life to God. Hey, that's fine. Fantastic. Well done. But go and share that, because not everybody's going to relate to my story, as not everybody's going to relate to Pastor Kyle's story, to Pastor Jeremy's story.
They may relate to your story, Heather, or your story, Grace, or your story, Simon. That's why it's important to know people's testimonies. It's important to know the revelation of Jesus in your life, not Your theological knowledge of what the Bible says. Yeah. It's a revelation of Jesus in your life, the way it works. I can stand here and I can recite whatever. I can recite about whatever I know. Whoopee do.
Who wants to know it? I don't. I'm bored of it already. There's some things that I'm just not really there for. When people start talking deep theological. Right. We're looking at this language and this language, and in this time, we had this in the context of this and stuff. And I'm like, wow, you've got a brain that I don't. And that's okay. That's good.
I don't have it. I just want to stand and I want to preach the good news. I want to stand and preach the love of Jesus.
I don't want to stand there with the cross going, you're all going to hell if you don't give your lives to Jesus now, aw go away.
Can I pray for you? Yeah.
Can I just love on you where you are? Yeah. That's why I love this church. You walk through these doors, you love from the moment you walk through these doors. And the moment you walk out those doors and you're loved afterwards.
We've got prayer teams, we've got people that are praying for you. Give us your prayer requests, and we're praying, we're interceding, we're loving on you from one day to the next, through the whole days.
This isn't just a walk in. Nice to meet you by after you go. Sometimes you don't see what's happening in the background, but I promise you, this church is growing. This church is loving. This church has grace abounded on it because they love Jesus first.
That's why. Listen, we learn to love you.
You don't walk through the doors going, I love that person straight away. No, I've got to get to know you first. And likewise, you've got to get to know me first as well. You look in there going, I tell you what, I need to learn how to speak in tongues or even understand tongues with what he's speaking, I ain't got a clue what he's saying. It's all right. Listen, God will minister you anyway. We're all fine. But there is grace abounded on that.
Everybody is loved…eventually.
Even when we're challenging, we're loved eventually. But God has a plan and a purpose in your life. You're here for a reason. You're here for a season. That doesn't matter.
Jesus died for you. So that you have eternity.
We have a limited time on this earth to go and spread the good news.
How do we spread the good news?
One person at a time.
Some will preach in front of thousands, some will preach in front of hundreds.
Some will share the good news to one person who will change the world.
That's cool. That's good. Yeah. One person at a time.
Self improvement is no more God's plan than self salvation.
Can't do it ourselves, can we? Self improvement. I'm going to go and get myself improved. I'm going to go and listen to a good podcast. Yeah, whatever.
Go and read the Bible sometimes better for you. Self improvement is no more God's plan than self salvation. See, we live by grace. Grace gives, grace guards, grace guides, and grace energizes us every day.
Every day.
2 Peter 3:18.
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Doesn't say grow in the person out there who's got 10 million viewers on TikTok and Instagram and all the rest of the stuff who's telling you how to really love “I” self is telling you to grow on Jesus.
There's no point looking at the new Instagrammer and the new social media expert. It's telling you to go and find Jesus when you take a look, actually. So I'm going to ask my wife here, what's it called? Tony Robbins and stuff used to do it where you would get somebody and mimic their life.
Matrix re-imprinting. Right. For anybody that knows NLP (Neuro-linguistic programming), Matrix re-imprinting. Okay. This is what the self help world was teaching. You pick up a book and what you're going to do is you're going to learn about this person, you're going to copy this person's behaviours, you're going to copy this person's patterns. If this person sleeps five hours a day, you're going to sleep five hours a day. You are going to copy every single thing about their life until you become exactly like them and as successful as them.
Hold on a second, hold on a second.
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. It says it there in the Bible straightaway, doesn't it? There's no point spending thousands out there. Learn to be more like Jesus. Learn who Jesus is. Yeah. Learn why he died for you. So whenever you learn why he died for you, you learn who you are.
I don't need to re-imprint anybody else. I don't need to be like you because God made me.
I'm an individual so are you individually made by God, individually loved by God, individually given a plan and a purpose by God. That's who we should be imprinting onto our hearts, onto our minds.
What goes in here falls to the heart. What's in the heart comes out the mouth.
What are you speaking over your life?
What are you showing? What's the fruits of the Spirit?
Who are you? In Christ Jesus I am all things.
133 Scriptures of Grace in the New Testament. 133.
I'm not going through them all today, don't worry about that. But 133 Scriptures of Grace in the New Testament. Wow.
The mandate of going to teach my people faith will be challenging without grace.
I made a joke and it's kind of taken off really. So I'm in the fivefold ministry. I know that I'm called to the fivefold ministry. When you deal with people, sometimes you just want to go five (shows five fingers)-fold (shows fist). It's just holy spirit slap. But I need grace.
I need grace to deal with people. You need grace to deal with people? Yeah.
If I go into the world and I go and preach and teach, I need to have grace for the people that are going to turn around and say, you're talking rubbish.
Where were the dinosaurs in the Bible? Oh my word, don't get me started on that one. Where was this? Where was that? The world's 25 billion years old, but your Bible's telling me it's 6,000 years old. I need grace to deal with people that come at me with intellectual stuff versus what God's telling them. Yeah, I've said it before. Don't tell me about your interpretation of the Bible. Tell me about your revelation of the Bible and what it's done through you.
I need grace to deal with people.
You need grace to deal with people. This is what we need, sanctifying grace. It purifies us and it keeps us from being contaminated by the world. Now sanctified is being set apart for God's special use and purpose in this world.
That's what sanctification is, to be set apart by God for a special purpose and use in the world.
And here today, with Jesus Christ as your Lord and your Savior, you are sanctified for a special purpose.
Some of us know what that purpose is, some of us yet don't.
And that's okay because I'm sure the Bible says that I have to learn more about Christ.
Yeah, hearing and hearing and hearing and hearing the word of God is what's going to transform and change us. And that's okay. If you don't yet know what God's called you to do, that's fine, keep leaning in, keep asking, keep asking him, God, what do you want me to do? We're not all called to be pastors. We're not all called to preach, we're not all called to teach.
But we are called to live right.
We are called to be set apart so that when people see you, they see something different about you.
That's what we're called to be. So without knowing the special calling on your life, you are set apart anyway.
Be set apart, be different.
I recently had to go on a bucks-do, a stag-do, that I call it. And I knew, and this is one of the things that I had to have grace on. I knew that that bucks-do was going to be wrong.
I knew that there were people in here, not in here, sorry, in there that were atheists. I knew there were people in there that were worldly and all they wanted was the wrong stuff, the wrong things.
I'm not going to spit them out here, but I'm sure you can imagine what the world wants when you get stag-do's and buck-do’s and stuff like that.
I had to have conversation with two of them asking me to organise all sorts of stuff. I had to organise this as well. And I was like, not a chance, mate. Who do you think I am?
That's not happening. One, I don't agree with it. Two, I ain't doing it.
Christian or non Christian, I still wouldn't do it. But I am set apart. So I'm the one stood there going, nah, it's not happening.
So whenever they decided to do some stuff, well, I stepped apart. I stepped away because I'm set apart.
As I stepped away from it, they witnessed, they seen, they'd done less of.
I'm called to be in the world, but not of the world.
To be there. That was okay for me to be there because I know who I am in Christ. I know the dark places that I can walk into because Christ is in me. That means that I bring light. I know that.
So to be there was okay because I showed something different.
I showed that it wasn't right to be doing that stuff. So I was setting myself apart from the world while still being in the world.
They get to ask questions, why did you do that?
Why is this not acceptable? I get to create conversations and that's good because now I get to share a testimony of my life because previous there was so much of it.
Grace shapes you into who God intended you to be. Day by day, grace never runs out.
Come boldly.
Romans 5:20. Moreover, the law entered that the offence might abound, but where sin abounded, grace abounded much more.
If you feel like you're running on empty, it's not because grace ran out.
It's because you stopped asking.
Grace never runs out.
But we need to ask.
If I turn my life away from Jesus and I decide to take a walk, not following what he's called me to do, not following that path, that plan, I'm walking away from everything that he has planned for me. I'm not walking in grace.
He still loves me.
His hand was over Israel.
His hand is over your life.
If I walk out of the covering of that grace, that's my choice.
But his grace is so much more that you can come back in, that he will welcome you back with open arms.
His grace is to love you even when you don't love yourself, even when you're challenged by this world. His grace is there for you.
His grace.
We should be a people that come boldly to the throne of grace. Hebrews 4:16 says, Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in a time of need. See, God's grace is greater than our sin.
God's grace ensures life, not condemnation.
God's grace on your life, right here, right now.
There's a famous quote that's really been playing on my heart this week.
Charles T. Studd; “Some want to live within the sound Of church or chapel bell;I want to run a rescue shop, (Within) a yard of hell.”
To go into all the world to go and preach and teach His Gospel. To preach and teach his message of his grace, his mercy, his love, my faith in Jesus. Who's been missing grace here today, who's been walking without grace, who needs more grace and their lives.
Because this is the time right here, right now, to fill up, to come, to fill, to overflow.
As Alex is just going to keep playing, I'm just going to ask some of the leaders to step up the front.
And if you want prayer, if you want that declaration of forgiveness, that confession of faith, if you have grace that you want more of, then come and let these people pray for you. Come and let these people pray with you.
We're here to intercede for you as much as to help you.
So if right here, right now, you want fill in with grace, then please just come the front just for prayer. Today is a day of prayer. Every day is a day of prayer. But come more grace to let grace flow, to serve others, to live in holiness.
Grace is there for everybody.
I know that I need grace more in my life when I have my son who annoys me, literally gets to that last thread that's just about to snap. I'm out of grace. I'm not walking in his love and I'm not walking in his favour. Before I snap at him, I've got to go and take myself and have a conversation with God.
I've got to ask for that grace to abound. I've got to ask for that wisdom to come on.
So if you want that prayer, then come.
There is no shame. There is no condemnation. There is nothing here except love.
We come boldly to the crown because of grace.
Grace goes to the heart and it strengthens your heart. It's the position that we stand in, the position of love, the outworking of the Holy Spirit through. Today is a day where grace abounds more.
Today is a day where grace abounds because of Jesus.
Thank you Jesus.
The Bible tells us that he is faithful and just to forgive us.
God's never pointing the finger, faithful and just to forgive us.
So thank you Jesus.
We're going to leave this space open here. I'm just going to finish off and I want to finish in prayer. Thank you Jesus. Thank you Father for your grace that abounds over everything that we have done.
Father, for people that have come for prayer, I just thank you that they get a fresh revelation of you, that they get a fresh revelation of your love and of your mercy.
Thank you Jesus for everything that you have done. For everybody that has heard, Father, let this just play in their hearts. Let them know more of you.
Let them know the love that you have for them and the grace that you give, the grace that they stand in, the grace that is over their lives. Let them come boldly to the throne as we give this all to you now, Jesus, in your precious name.
Amen.
