[00:00:00] Welcome to the World Changers Church Gold Coast Podcast. Join us as we listen to today's message.
[00:00:09] Everybody say with me, thank you Holy Ghost, for what you do.
[00:00:17] You know, every morning we get up, we get up and in the supernatural, like in that realm, our hands are on the steering wheel of our life and we do the best we can. Each day when we say, thank you Holy Ghost, for what you do, another set of hands go on that steering wheel.
[00:00:46] Never forget to say, thank you Holy Ghost, for what you do.
[00:00:50] Jesus couldn't wait to get back to the Father to send him to us because he knew how special it was for us.
[00:01:04] Can we get John 10:10 ready?
[00:01:08] King James makes me sound smarter.
[00:01:16] Anyone can live the abundant life.
[00:01:22] Anyone who wants to live the abundant life.
[00:01:30] First of all, let's establish what the abundant life is.
[00:01:39] A nice car, it's great.
[00:01:41] And God will bless you with a nice car, I'm sure, but that's not the abundant life.
[00:01:47] Lovely home is great and God will bless many of us with a lovely home, but that's not the abundant life.
[00:01:54] The abundant life is the true riches.
[00:02:01] And the two things that constitute the abundant life is one, walking in close intimacy with our Abba daddy and the second one is fulfilling all the good works God's ordained for us and prepared for us that we should walk in.
[00:02:32] So being Mission Sunday, I want to get to a message.
[00:02:39] The message I'm going to preach today is on doubt.
[00:02:45] Doubt between the enemy and us, stopping us living that abundant life.
[00:02:54] The enemy has one tactic, one strategy, that's to create doubt in us, that's all.
[00:03:01] And he does it really well.
[00:03:04] So today I'm going to show you how to treat doubt. And doubt will never be a problem for you again unless you aren't listening or go to sleep today.
[00:03:15] But before we do, I just want to talk about the ministry that Tracy and I started in January this year.
[00:03:27] I cried out to God two years ago, I saw all the salvations happening in third world countries and I said, God, please give us a ministry where we can have mass evangelism in Australia and in first world countries.
[00:03:42] It's really hard to evangelise in first world countries out on the streets, I mean, because the problem with first world countries that are steeped in capitalism, which is by far the best system, it's lifted more people out of poverty in a short period of time than the whole rest of time.
[00:04:06] But what comes. We haven't done capitalism well because we haven't kept what's important important.
[00:04:12] And what's been birthed out of capitalism is self righteousness and spiritual pride.
[00:04:20] You don't see that very.
[00:04:23] Those things don't survive in third world countries.
[00:04:28] So it's very easy to minister in third world countries compared to first world countries.
[00:04:34] And Kyle mentioned a little while ago how many. When we started in January, I think the first week we had two salvations and we went home celebrating. Second week we had two, we went home celebrating.
[00:04:46] The last week we just got back from two weeks ministering in Samoa and the day before we went to Samoa, Tracy and I at Clancy had 103 salvations in one night.
[00:05:08] I mean I want to clap but I can't believe that.
[00:05:12] If I heard that happened anywhere in a first world country in the world I wouldn't give it the second thought. No, rubbish.
[00:05:20] That's impossible.
[00:05:22] That's impossible. I still think it's impossible.
[00:05:26] That can't happen.
[00:05:30] And I'm not surprised that God's birthing this ministry in a little church because that's how he does things.
[00:05:43] With a guy leading it who has got no pedigree to gun running and selling drugs and fighting in an MMA tent. I mean.
[00:05:59] But that's how God does things. And today's Mission Sunday and a little something dropped in my spirit just before I got up and it was this.
[00:06:11] Make sure the only.
[00:06:13] Make sure that the only thing missing on Mission Sunday is not you.
[00:06:26] And especially because this church is the birthplace of the gospel. In 30 seconds get behind that. Get behind this church, if for no other reason for that.
[00:06:40] Because the only thing that gets God up off his chair.
[00:06:45] Listen to this.
[00:06:46] The only thing that gets God up off his chair is salvations.
[00:06:56] He said to the 70 when they returned, don't you be rejoicing that the devils flee.
[00:07:03] Rejoice that your name's written in the Lamb's book of glory.
[00:07:10] The only time that Jesus got on his feet in the New Covenant because he went back and sat down with the Father, the only time recorded where he gets up on his feet is in Acts chapter 7 where Stephen preached the gospel to him and he got so in their skin that they bit on him and stoned him.
[00:07:36] And what did Stephen say?
[00:07:39] He said he looked up and said, I see Jesus standing at the right hand of the Father.
[00:07:46] Imagine behaving in such a way that you get the master up on his feet cheering you on.
[00:07:54] That's what happens when you're involved in evangelism.
[00:08:06] Oh, I said we were going to use John 10:10. Timmy, can we put that up? You There. Timmy. Somebody wake Timmy up.
[00:08:19] The thief cometh not, but to steal, kill and to destroy.
[00:08:25] Steal, kill and destroy. What?
[00:08:29] Well, there's something people don't do when they read their Bible and that's use context.
[00:08:39] We'd be in a far better place if people used context.
[00:08:45] The thief cometh not, but for to steal, kill and to destroy. Context.
[00:08:51] I am come that they might have a life and they might have it more abundantly. That's what he's trying to steal, kill and destroy.
[00:08:58] That's how context works.
[00:09:01] Always use scripture to interpret scripture.
[00:09:06] The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy the hopes and dreams of the beloved. All of the good works. He's prepared for us and he does it through doubt.
[00:09:19] I'm busting to get to this message, but I want to finish on the ministry side of the missions that Tracy and I have been involved with.
[00:09:29] We're just going out winning souls, that's all.
[00:09:35] And what's been happening, it's just blowing our minds.
[00:09:42] Ehc, Every Home for Christ, they're a missionary organiser. I'd never heard of them till two years ago.
[00:09:47] And I don't know if they've got to be one of the biggest evangelistic organizations on the planet because for decades they've been winning over a million souls a month.
[00:09:59] Anyway, while we were in Samoa, the head of EHC Australia was there, the international director.
[00:10:06] He said he wants to.
[00:10:11] He wants to.
[00:10:14] They're in 170 countries and he said he wants straight away they want to put the 32nd gospel through all 170 countries.
[00:10:28] We've been asked to go over and share that. Share it in the Philippines. We're going in September to the Philippines.
[00:10:34] We're going to Japan in October. We've been asked to go over there to share it.
[00:10:40] And then we've got to be back later in October because I've been.
[00:10:43] Come on. I've been asked to go and share the 32nd gospel and what's happening to New South Wales Parliament.
[00:10:53] At the parliamentary breakfast, We found it hard to go over to Samoa this time because how can you leave 100 salvations you know you're gonna miss out on?
[00:11:12] But it was amazing. It was just rich, rich ministry.
[00:11:17] And then there was a team there. I mean, we preached in churches, which was great. But one Wednesday they said, quick, we gotta take yous out to the Nazarene Church. And there was 2415 to 20 year olds that were leaving the following Tuesday on a missions trip to evangelise in the Philippines.
[00:11:38] So we got to train them up for two hours, give them bracelets, teach them how to use it. They'd have gone over there and got no salvations, probably. Or if they had a handful, would have been fantastic. I can't wait to hear what they come back with now, being able to share the gospel.
[00:11:54] Let me, for those of you who don't know, I'll give you an example of how it works.
[00:12:00] One of the.
[00:12:04] This was amazing.
[00:12:06] Like the Holy Ghost closed my eyes to the situation. There was a. I just saw a group and I walked into the middle of this group.
[00:12:14] It wasn't until I got into the middle of it that I realized it was a gang.
[00:12:19] And I'm right in front. I'm right in front of the gang leader. This close as I am to Simon.
[00:12:26] So the best form of offence. Sorry, defense is a good offence.
[00:12:30] So I straightaway said, I'm here to share the gospel with you people.
[00:12:37] About 4 of the gang looked like they wanted to spit on me and peeled off two of them next to the gang leader.
[00:12:45] And the gang leader's just looking at me with a cold, blank stare right in front of me, with a beard ten times the size of Simon's.
[00:12:53] And there was an Australian girl there. I'd quick look at her and my heart sank. She was obviously the property of the gang.
[00:13:02] And I began, said, the black bead represents man's black sinful heart. Because I said, I'm here to share the gospel. I use this bracelet. It explains the gospel in 30 seconds. Very important to get that out because everybody will listen if it's only 30 seconds.
[00:13:19] Black bead represents man's black sinful heart separated from God. I'm always remembering, remembering Billy Graham when I do this part.
[00:13:32] One of the books of his I read about 40 years ago, he said, when you're sharing the gospel, share it like a dying man unto dying men. So I say, the black bead represents man's black sinful heart separated from God.
[00:13:48] The red bead represents the blood of Jesus dying on the cross for the forgiveness of our sin so we can be connected back to God.
[00:13:58] The white bead represents our black sinful heart, forgiven and made white as snow by Jesus.
[00:14:05] And the gold bead represents our eternal life in heaven when we thank Jesus for what he's done, receive him as our Lord and Saviour, guaranteeing our eternal life in heaven.
[00:14:18] Halfway through the presentation, the gang leader that's in front of me, I notice as I'm sharing, he twists his body sideways in slow motion and tilts his head back and lifts his. And while he's doing that, he's lifting his right hand up like this, and his hand comes to his mouth. And I glanced up to see what he was doing, and he had a little meth pipe in his hand.
[00:14:45] And then I looked up, I saw the smoke swirling around in the pipe. And he took a hit and in slow motion, put it down and turned around, and he's looking at me with this cold, blank stare.
[00:14:57] So I finished the presentation and then I said. And I looked straight at the gang leader and I said, it only takes a few seconds to say a prayer. Thanking Jesus for what he's done, repeated receiving him as Lord and Savior, guaranteeing your eternal life in heaven. Can I pray with you now?
[00:15:18] And his expression never changed.
[00:15:22] So I turned to the girl, and the girl looked at me.
[00:15:27] I don't know how to explain it. I think she looked at me thinking, how on earth does this guy just share the gospel with this bloke and he's still standing?
[00:15:37] And I said to her, what about you, love? Would you like to accept Jesus?
[00:15:43] And she said, yes, just like that.
[00:15:50] So I said, the gang leader's still looking at me.
[00:15:55] And I said, say this after me. Thank you, Jesus, for dying on the cross, for the forgiveness of my sin.
[00:16:08] I receive you right now, Jesus, as my Lord, as my Saviour. Thank you, Jesus, for saving me. And then I gave her a bracelet with the card on it.
[00:16:22] And I said to her, I say this to everyone after they've said the prayer. I said, you need to understand what's just happened.
[00:16:31] I said, the instant those words rolled off your tongue. Thank you, Jesus. I receive you as my Lord and Saviour. The same blood that was shed on the cross sealed your heart and he will never let you go.
[00:16:46] I said, some of us will get to heaven in good shape and some of us will get to heaven all beat up and in bad shape.
[00:16:56] But if you've applied the blood, you get into heaven. Jesus escorts you into heaven.
[00:17:05] See, we can never repent enough to get to heaven.
[00:17:10] We can never do enough to get to heaven.
[00:17:14] We can never give enough to get to heaven.
[00:17:17] We can certainly never be good enough to get to heaven.
[00:17:22] It's the blood of Jesus that gets us to heaven.
[00:17:27] And as I finished talking to this girl, I went to turn around to walk away. And in slow motion, a hand came up and it was the gang leader.
[00:17:42] I was shocked. I turned around and I put my hand out and he shook me hand.
[00:17:47] He said, thank you.
[00:17:49] Turned around Walked off and they all went with him.
[00:17:52] I couldn't sleep that night. I think that night we had 68 salvations.
[00:17:59] 68 salvations.
[00:18:02] I couldn't sleep that night because I kept thinking, thank God for that grandmother or that mother or whoever it was that was praying for that girl.
[00:18:23] Don't ever start the day or get through the day without saying, thank you, Holy Ghost, for what you do. We need those hands on the steering wheel.
[00:18:32] Something caused a skinny old white man to walk into the middle of that green and be bold enough to share the gospel with them.
[00:18:52] Okay, I'm on an assignment here today to make you strong.
[00:18:59] Say, I am strong now.
[00:19:06] The devil and his cronies will keep you weak by using doubt.
[00:19:16] The first thing you need to do to be strong and to overcome doubt is to know that the blood has been applied because the devil will make you doubt your salvation.
[00:19:30] And he gets plenty of help from the church.
[00:19:35] What amazes me is there's only about five places in the New Testament where the legalists and the religiosity Rob.
[00:19:49] They take their objections to once saved, always saved. And I don't like that term, but it's the. It's a good Description.
[00:19:58] James chapter 2, Hebrews, chapter 10, 1 John 1:9, Hebrews chapter 6, and Matthew chapter 7.
[00:20:10] All the ones where they object to you being, saying you can lose your salvation. They're the five. That's it. That's pretty much it. And it's hard to find anywhere else.
[00:20:20] And yet the New Testament is full of the righteousness of God, how we're saved.
[00:20:28] I'll just take one.
[00:20:30] Cause it's. Well, I couldn't say it's the biggie. But all of those passages are aimed at the unsaved, not the saved. So let me just give you 1 example.
[00:20:41] 1 John 1:9.
[00:20:44] If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. That's the language of salvation. To be cleansed from all unrighteousness, righteousness. It's not the language of someone confessing to sin and being confessed to that sin.
[00:21:00] And there's a great tape by Joseph Prince says the what abouts and he deals with all of these in great detail.
[00:21:09] But 1 John 1:9. I just want to take one aspect and I've never seen anybody use this part of it.
[00:21:17] 1 John 1:9. John was a hopeless evangelist. Every time he opened his mouth, he was trying to get people saved.
[00:21:25] That's why John 3:16 is the most commonly Used verse for salvation.
[00:21:32] And verse three? Well, verse seven. 1 John 1:7 says, the blood of Jesus continually cleanses us. So that doesn't make sense to say you've got to confess your sins if the blood of Jesus is continually cleansing you. But anyway, that's only if you take it out of context, because it's to the unsaved, but the one that I have never heard used. And it's the most obvious one, context.
[00:21:55] Right.
[00:21:57] Verse 3. 1 John 1:3.
[00:22:00] It's the finish of the opening salutation. The first three verses are their opening salutation to the book. In other words, who he's addressing.
[00:22:10] 1 John 1:3. Oh, my goodness, he's quick on that trigger. That which we have seen and heard, declare we unto you.
[00:22:19] Who's you? Who's you that he's speaking to in the book? That ye also may have fellowship with us.
[00:22:28] And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.
[00:22:33] There's no open and shut. This is to the unsaved. He's imploring them. I'm writing this to you to encourage you so that you can be saved and know Jesus as your Lord and Savior have the same fellowship with the Father and the Son we have.
[00:22:51] And.
[00:22:54] But they're saying effectively two plus two equals five.
[00:22:58] The people who say these passages I've just alluded to are two Christians. They're saying two plus two equals five, and we're saying two plus two equals four. Well, how do we know who's right? Well, we go to the formula.
[00:23:14] Right. And what's the formula? The new covenant.
[00:23:18] God says, I will make a new covenant with my people.
[00:23:21] I will write my. I will be their God and they will be my people. And I will write my laws on their minds and put them in their hearts. And what's he say?
[00:23:32] And I will remember their sin no more.
[00:23:43] So John 3:16, For God so loved the world, et cetera.
[00:23:49] John 3:14 and 15 describes the salvation process.
[00:23:56] All that's required.
[00:23:58] It says, as Moses lifted up the serpent on the pole, as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
[00:24:16] So you don't just take John 3:16. The explanation comes first.
[00:24:21] As Moses lifted up the pole, all the people had to do was look at the serpent and they'd be saved.
[00:24:29] You'd have had good people, I'm sure, pillars of the community who probably doing good for people, good things for people and great People. And they might have thought, oh, I'm not going to engage in such foolishness. And they'd have died and you'd have rotten mongrels who'd have looked at it. And they got healed, right? So it's got nothing to do with us.
[00:24:53] God said, look at the. Tell them to look at the serpent. And if they looked at the serpent, obeyed God, they got saved.
[00:24:59] So the other big example is Exodus.
[00:25:04] It's the type and shadow. It's the real biggie to look at for context.
[00:25:09] And what did he say there?
[00:25:11] Paint. Take a sprig of hyssop, dip it into the sacrificial blood, paint it over the doorpost again. I'm sure there'd have been some good people who'd have said, oh, I'm not going to engage in such foolishness.
[00:25:24] Death.
[00:25:26] Death.
[00:25:28] Some scumbags would have said, okay, let's do it.
[00:25:31] Life. It's got nothing to do with us. It's doing what God said to do.
[00:25:38] Right? Faith believes and speaks. First Corinthians 4, 13. The spirit of faith believes and speaks. How do we get saved? Romans 10, 9, 10. We believe and we speak.
[00:25:47] Why did Joshua and Caleb get to the heaven? Because they believed God and they spoke it. No one else would. It's very simple. It's very simple.
[00:25:56] So our salvation is simply dependent on accepting that Jesus died on the cross for the forgiveness of our sin and accepting that by saying, I receive you as my Lord and savior. Jesus.
[00:26:11] John. Chapter. Sorry. Romans 10, 9, 10.
[00:26:16] Okay, so how we deal with doubt?
[00:26:25] Matthew 11:23. Please, Timmy. Matthew 11:23.
[00:26:30] This is where a bloke called Jesus teaches us about doubt.
[00:26:36] And this bloke called Jesus said, if you will speak to the mountain and say, be thou removed.
[00:26:54] Oh, Mark 11:23.
[00:26:58] Sorry, Timmy. Mark 11:23.
[00:27:03] Jesus said, if you will speak to the mountain and say, be thou removed and cast into the sea, and you believe those things you say and do not doubt do. This is what this bloke called Jesus said. If you believe those things you say and do not doubt, you will have whatsoever you say.
[00:27:24] Okay, well, if that's true, and it is because this bloke said, well, Jesus said it, what's the enemy going to do?
[00:27:31] He's going to come in and try and put doubt.
[00:27:34] He's going to work on your doubt.
[00:27:37] So what we need to do is, when we pray and the enemy comes in and he will. It's on autopilot.
[00:27:54] And he will say, wow, good prayer, but remember what you did Yesterday, Good prayer, but, you know, you don't have any credentials.
[00:28:08] Who knows what buttons he's going to push. Bit different with all of us, but he comes in with the doubt.
[00:28:16] You need to have a ready answer ready.
[00:28:19] You need to be ready and say something like, God's love for me has no limits and knows no bounds. He remembers my sin no more, and he hears and answers my prayer in Jesus name.
[00:28:40] I've been in the habit for decades. One prayer. I pray every night. I pray lots of prayers every night. I didn't pray for a few minutes, but when you. It's like machine gun fire when you've been doing the same thing for years and years.
[00:28:52] But if God sent an angel down to me and the angel said, hey, Tone, it's real busy up in heaven these days.
[00:29:02] We're sort of. We're a bit tied up for time, so we're limiting everybody to one prayer a day.
[00:29:10] The only prayer I could not put down, the prayer that I believe is my most important one and the one that I must pray, and that is Ephesians 2:10. I thank you, Father, that I fulfill and complete every good work you have prepared for me in Jesus name.
[00:29:30] I know there's two reasons why Tracy and I have got this ministry, and it's having unbelievable results.
[00:29:37] I know because I've been praying that prayer for 10 years. God hears our prayers and he answers our prayers. And I've been praying, I thank you, Father, that I fulfill every good work and complete every good work. You know what? God's probably wanted to give this ministry to probably thousands, but they didn't pick it up and they didn't run with it.
[00:29:59] Probably because they weren't praying that prayer. I've never heard anybody pray. I've never heard it. I've never read that anywhere. I've never heard anybody say that. I just picked it up decades ago reading Ephesians, that God's got good works that he prepared for us. And when I read it, I thought, well, I better be serious about doing them. So I started declaring that I would fulfill them.
[00:30:21] It's a very simple thing to do. But God can't ignore your prayers. He can't ignore them. And you know what? When I started praying that I probably didn't believe it that much. I didn't understand it like I do now. It's decades ago, right? But the more you say something, the more you believe it. The most important voice you can ever hear is your own.
[00:30:45] The most important thing you can ever hear is yourself declaring God's word over your life.
[00:30:50] Come on, brother.
[00:30:52] So there's two things, two reasons.
[00:30:56] I'm not gonna. I could explain it, but it'd take a long time. But the two things are. I pray in tongues each morning and I declare that I will fulfill every good work that God's ordained for me. And the extra set of hands go on the steering wheel. And I find myself in the right place at the right time with the right people saying the right words.
[00:31:17] It's not an accident and it's certainly not cause I'm smart.
[00:31:21] It's because I pray it and God delivers.
[00:31:26] So you have to convince yourself that God's love for you knows no bounds, has no limits.
[00:31:36] You have to convince yourself of that. You have to know that.
[00:31:41] Don't miss church unless it's something that you've got no reason.
[00:31:46] Don't miss listening to good preaching. Don't miss reading the Word or encourage yourself like David did.
[00:31:56] Dig into the love of God.
[00:32:00] And when you hear preachers shining the light on you and your performance, find another preacher.
[00:32:10] A good preacher will shine the light on Jesus and what he's done and what he's accomplished.
[00:32:21] I finally prepared a whole message. I got nowhere idea where I'm at. Hang on, let me see.
[00:32:28] Yeah. Doubt is birthed in salvation insecurity.
[00:32:33] Doubt is birthed in salvation insecurity. And you could put in not believing God's love for you, God's love for us, hasn't it, you know?
[00:32:44] Well, God gave me a revelation. I know exactly where I was sitting about 40 years ago. I remember exactly where I was sitting on the banks of the main river. And I was crying out to God to explain salvation to me.
[00:32:58] And he explained Philippians chapter two. I think it's verses seven, five to ten, the last.
[00:33:07] No, it's not five to ten. Cause there's six verses. I think the last three verses is where God gives the greatest accolade ever given or that ever will be given. God just let loose and he says, therefore I have given him the name which is above all names. That at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow above the earth, on the earth and under the earth. And every tongue shall confess that Jesus is Lord.
[00:33:33] Now remember, remember. Remember that little thing called context.
[00:33:39] Hang on. God's given that accolade. I wonder what it was in response to the three verses before. The three verses before, say, let this same mind be anew that was in Christ Jesus, who thought it not robbery to be as God and equal with God, but made himself of no Reputation taking the form of obedience unto death, even death on the cross and then the great accolade.
[00:34:14] So Jesus was God and equal with God, but made himself of no reputation taking the form of a bondservant. That means he became fully man and came under the same law of sin and death as we were under. How do I know he became fully man? Because he said even unto obedience, unto death, death. God can't die and God can't be tempted. That's the two things Jesus had to do to fulfill God's redemption plan for mankind.
[00:34:39] He had to be tempted and he had to die. So he had to become fully man.
[00:34:44] Here's why God lets loose.
[00:34:49] If Jesus as a fully man had ascended, what would have happened?
[00:34:59] Not only would we have been eternally separated from the Father, so would he.
[00:35:08] Doesn't that give some context to the garden at Gethsemane where he's crying out to the Father, take this away from me.
[00:35:17] Hebrews 5:7 is the perfect picture of Gethsemane says and Jesus cried out with heartfelt tears to the one who could save him.
[00:35:33] That's where I draw on the depths of God's love for me.
[00:35:40] That's where I have no doubt about Jesus. Love for me has no limits and knows no bounds. Gayat. He became fully man and put his eternity on the line for me.
[00:35:52] That's out of this world. Love that's indescribable.
[00:35:58] Don't let the devil make you feel like your spare change.
[00:36:04] Look at what the price he paid for us. That's the price he paid.
[00:36:11] There's the sacrifice that he made and then there's the price that he paid.
[00:36:31] Thank you Holy Ghost, for what you do.
[00:36:34] Thank you Holy Ghost for what you do.
[00:36:37] Anyone, anyone, anyone can live the abundant life.
[00:36:48] A life of close intimacy with the Father.
[00:36:56] I think God was crying out like Jesus was in Hebrews 5:7. Until that time.
[00:37:08] See, God only knew that Jesus would be successful because he was successful.
[00:37:14] He didn't.
[00:37:16] He only because he's outside of time. He sees the beginning from the end. But that doesn't mean Jesus couldn't have failed.
[00:37:24] God's love for us.
[00:37:27] It truly has no limits and knows no bounds. The more that gets into your spirit, the stronger you will be.
[00:37:39] You must know how to treat doubt.
[00:37:42] Jesus made doubt so. And Jesus elevated the pursuit of righteousness. That's what I'm talking about today. The pursuit of righteousness. Knowing where the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus and walking in the confidence of that righteousness so we can Use the power and authority because the enemy puts the doubt in so that that power and authority won't be exercised because we don't believe we're worthy.
[00:38:14] Jesus made the pursuit of righteousness the number one pursuit for the Christians.
[00:38:21] Matthew, chapter four, the Beatitudes. All the blessed are those.
[00:38:25] Blessed are those who mourn.
[00:38:27] Blessed are, you know, the blessed are those.
[00:38:31] They're all treated in exactly the same way, except for one.
[00:38:36] When he gets to righteousness, Jesus says, blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness.
[00:38:47] He understood how important it is to know the love of God and not doubt, hunger and thirst after righteousness, the enemy will try and bring us down. You're not worthy today. I want you to put a line in the sand and say, I'm not doubting God's love for me anymore.
[00:39:16] And whenever the enemy comes at you with a.
[00:39:24] Fiery darts, you know First Corinthians 10, the fiery darts. The thought says to cast down every evil imagination. So that's what the fiery darts are, evil imaginations, evil thoughts, right?
[00:39:36] Trying to tell us we're not worthy. Trying to tell us God doesn't love us, right?
[00:39:42] When that happens, say I have the free gift of justification.
[00:39:48] Remember last time I spoke, I went on about Romans 5:15 and Romans 5:16. Romans 5:15 says, we have received the free gift of salvation. Free gift means it can't be taken away from you. If it was just a gift. A gift can be taken away, but a free gift can't be taken away. No terms and conditions. And we have. Verse 16 says we've got the free gift of justification.
[00:40:09] Justification means there's nothing between us and God for us to have our prayers answered.
[00:40:15] That's what justification is.
[00:40:18] Sin is when sin's put in the mix. Well, there's something blocking our prayers being heard. But God remembers our sins no more.
[00:40:30] God remembers our sins no more.
[00:40:33] Hebrews 8, 10 and Hebrews 10, 16, 17. Hebrews 8, 10, 12 and Hebrews says it twice in the space of two chapters. The covenant that we have with God, that God remembers our sins no more. That's why we have the free gift of justification.
[00:40:51] Because our prayers being answered have got nothing to do with us and everything to do with the price Jesus paid. It's not our performance.
[00:41:02] It's not because by reason of our performance that God enters our prayers. It's by reason of Jesus performance.
[00:41:09] And we are in him and he answers our prayers. It's all right to say. I know I'm not. I know I'm a scumbag God, I know I'm only a three, but this is what I believe. And I believe you're going to answer my prayer because you remember my sins no more. And your love for me has no limits and knows no bounds. Well that's about as good as I can give guys.
[00:41:37] So in the wash up just try to do two things please. I encourage you to do two things.
[00:41:49] One is to pray every day and say thank you Father that I fulfill and complete every good work you've prepared for me.
[00:41:55] Put it into his hands. Because when you do that, that extra set of hands comes on the steering wheel every time. Every time, every time.
[00:42:06] The only thing that can affect it is when the enemy comes in with the doubt.
[00:42:11] So the second thing you're to do is say thank you Father that I'm fully forgiven in Christ and you hear and answer my prayers.
[00:42:22] That's what will make you strong.
[00:42:25] That's what will make you strong. How you deal with doubt, we just read that verse in Mark 11:23 by that bloke named Jesus. You'll have whatever you say as long as you don't doubt.
[00:42:37] And all you gotta do to not doubt is to take your position of righteousness and say, Jesus, God remembers my sin no more.
[00:42:48] I know I'm me, but God remembers my sin no more because of Jesus. And God loves me and answers my prayers. That's the position we need to stand in.
[00:42:58] Okay, so let's, let's just stand up. Everybody just stand up. I just want to pray over you.
[00:43:10] The last we had on Monday, Clancy and Tracy and myself went out and we had 42 salvations soul winning Christians. You know the statistics are 97% of Christians never lead anyone into the kingdom in their entire life.
[00:43:31] So that one Peter 3:15. Always have a good answer ready for the hope that's in you. The church has been a hopeless failure at preparing their congregations with a ready answer. That's what this is. These bracelets, they're a ready answer. It was so easy. Well when we flew over to Samoa, we go, we're on the plane and I'm talking to this guy. He loved being next to me cause we'd had a good feed before we left. He's a big Samoan guy. So when the girl came around with the meals, I said what are you having? And he told me, so I'll have one of them. So he ordered his meal and then I gave him mine. And then he ordered a Coke so he'd give us a Coke. So he had another Coke. He loved me.
[00:44:10] Anyway, towards the end of the trip he said to me, I said to him, oh, what do you, are you returning home or do you live in Australia and you're visiting family?
[00:44:21] He said, I'm visiting family.
[00:44:24] And I said, ah. And he said, what about you? And I said, oh, we're over here visiting friends and I've come to do some work for my father.
[00:44:35] And then I said, and he told me he only had a one way ticket. And I said, why have you only got a one way ticket?
[00:44:43] He said, because my mother's dying in hospital.
[00:44:48] So I said, oh, well, I got my bracelet out, this is 10 minutes before we're landing.
[00:44:54] And I went through it and he's crying, he's crying.
[00:45:01] And I said, then I got to the prayer and I had the card with the presentation and with the prayer on the other side.
[00:45:09] When I got to the prayer, I said Shane was, his name was Shane or Wayne. I said, shane, I'm not going to pray the prayer with you.
[00:45:17] I said, the prayer's on the other side of this card. I said, here, take the bracelet, take this card.
[00:45:22] I said, when you get to the hospital, you share this with your mother and you both walk through the gates of glory together.
[00:45:37] 42 salvations on Monday night. I mean, soul winners don't get that many in their lifetime. People leading people in the marketplace and on this, it's insane what's happening.
[00:45:47] Then on Tuesday night, Tracy and I went back out and we got. And the rain stopped us. We only got about an hour in, but we got 19 salvations.
[00:45:57] But the last one, the last one was a big group of, it was 10 or 12 Muslim guys.
[00:46:05] And when they were coming towards me, the body language was not good, you know, it was aggressive and fast.
[00:46:11] So I just walked straight into the middle of them and I said, hey guys, I'm here to share the gospel with you.
[00:46:18] And about eight of them just pulled off and there was a big guy there with two other guys and he looked, got right up in front of me face. So I said it takes 30 seconds. And I started going through it. The black bead represents. And I went through it and when I finished, I looked back up at the big fella and I said, it only takes a few seconds to say a prayer, thanking Jesus for what he's done, receiving him as your Lord and Saviour, guaranteeing your eternal life in heaven. Can I pray with you now?
[00:46:49] And he said yes.
[00:46:51] And he put his arm around the bloke next to him and the bloke next to him said, yes, Tracy Tracey. And I'm glad she did. She moved off to a distance, but she positioned herself so she could see them, their mouths, because we want to know when they've said the prayer.
[00:47:19] And I said the prayer.
[00:47:21] I set up the prayer and I could see the big fellow saying it.
[00:47:25] And the guy next to him had a little bit of persuasion, but he was saying it as well.
[00:47:32] And later I said to Trace, I'm not sure whether we got all three. And she said, yes, we did. I, I watched they all said the prayer, three Muslim guys.
[00:47:40] And that was out of a group of about 12.
[00:47:44] That takes a lot of guts, right? And I gave them all bracelets. They probably wouldn't take them home because when we've saved Muslims, they don't want the bracelets. They're not going to take something home with a cross on it into their community. I think we've had eight or nine Muslims now, Trace, isn't it eight or nine Muslims? Three there on the last three that we say were big Muslim men.
[00:48:05] And God's.
[00:48:11] Just close your eyes and let these words sink deep down into your spirit.
[00:48:22] God's love for me has no limits and knows no bounds.
[00:48:36] I am never alone.
[00:48:42] God remembers my sin no more.
[00:48:46] And he hears and he answers all my prayers in Jesus name, amen.
[00:48:57] I pray and declare the blessing, the anointing and the protection of the precious blood of Jesus over each and every one of you and your families.
[00:49:14] I thank you, Father, that you bless our families, you bless our provision, you protect us, you anoint us.
[00:49:30] And I thank you, Father, that we fulfil and complete every good work you have prepared for us in Jesus name.
[00:49:41] And everyone said amen.
