[00:00:00] Welcome to the World Changers Church Gold Coast Podcast. Join us as we listen to today's message.
[00:00:07] Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen.
[00:00:10] Glory be to God.
[00:00:14] Thank you so much. Worship Team Dynamic Dynamic worship in the house.
[00:00:21] Glory. Hallelujah. Amen.
[00:00:25] Let's go before the Lord in prayer this morning. Father, I just thank you.
[00:00:32] Yes, I thank you. He thanks you too, Father.
[00:00:36] I thank you, Lord, for your glory, for your goodness, for your presence.
[00:00:42] Thank you. That in you is life. I thank you. That in you is truth. I thank you. That in you is goodness.
[00:00:49] I thank you. That in you and with you is the way, Father, that in Christ Jesus we are never ever left shortchanged.
[00:00:58] I thank you for the divine power that you have given us, Father.
[00:01:05] Thank you for this morning for these people.
[00:01:09] May you bless them, Lord. May they know how blessed they truly are.
[00:01:14] May they know how loved they are by you.
[00:01:18] And Father, let them know that you are with them, that you are near them.
[00:01:23] Let them encounter you in this message. Encounter your word, encounter truth in this message, Father. And I pray that your spirit would give revelation beyond my natural words, Father.
[00:01:39] Thank you, Holy Spirit, that you speak to the hearts, the minds, the ears, Father.
[00:01:45] You know what each and every person needs in this house, Father.
[00:01:50] So I release your spirit, Father, and I thank you. It's in Jesus name. Amen. And amen. And amen.
[00:01:59] Hallelujah. We are continuing the divine nature. Pastor Kyle has been ministering some amazing messages and truth about the divine nature of God. And he, you know, this morning I'm going to continue the divine nature.
[00:02:17] Living in Christ's fullness. Living in his fullness.
[00:02:23] Recently the Lord put on my heart and spoke to me and said, you know, we're so focused on our identity in Christ, which is great. We need to know our identity in Christ Jesus Christ. But I believe, and recently I felt the Lord say to me, in order for us to truly understand our identity in Christ, we must know and understand his identity.
[00:02:55] His identity.
[00:02:57] We need to know his identity or his divine nature. So there is so much to this topic, guys.
[00:03:07] When I wrote this out, I think I ended up writing probably four parts, four different messages. But this morning I just want to. To minister to you and. And what I believe the Lord has given to me for you.
[00:03:23] So let's start out in second Peter 1:3 through 4.
[00:03:27] Second Peter 1:3, 4. Aren't you glad for God's word says, by his divine nature, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life.
[00:03:44] We have received all of this by coming to know him, we're going to break this down, guys. There's so much in the scripture already.
[00:03:55] We have received all of this by coming to know him, the One who called us to Himself by means of his glory and excellence. His marvelous glory and excellence.
[00:04:08] And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises.
[00:04:16] These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature or partake. There's another version that says that we partake of his divine nature and we escape the world's corruption caused by human desires. Amen.
[00:04:38] We are going to break down this scripture because there is a lot just right there.
[00:04:50] So God's nature is revealed in Christ Jesus.
[00:04:55] We're just going to kind of go through a couple things and then we're going to park for a little bit on the scripture that we just read.
[00:05:05] So God's nature is revealed in Christ. So Hebrews 1 and 3.
[00:05:11] Hebrews 1 and 3 says, the sun radiates God's own glory and expresses the very character of God. He sustains everything by the mighty power of his creation command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven. This verse simply says that Jesus is the exact image of the Father.
[00:05:40] John 14:9. I love the scripture. So when I preach, you're going to get a lot of the scripture. Amen. John 14:9 says this.
[00:05:49] Jesus replied, have I been with you all of this time, Philip, and yet you still don't know who I am?
[00:05:58] Revelation in that. But that's not my message. Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father.
[00:06:06] So why are you asking me to show him to you? This scripture simply says on point to my message. Anyone who has seen Jesus or experienced Jesus has seen the Father.
[00:06:20] Now in the book of John, Jesus goes on to say he describes Himself as. As the great I am. Some. Some will call it. And I'm just going to go through these. John 6 and 35. In John 6 and 35, Jesus himself describes Himself.
[00:06:41] He says that he is the bread of life. I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again.
[00:06:51] Whoever believes in Me will never be thirsty. Now, in these statements here. Okay, so back to my message. Let me break it down just to recap. We're talking about the divine nature of God, his divine nature and what he has given us. And that we are now partakers in the divine nature. And we need to understand who God is through who Jesus is. Jesus is the exact image of the Father. Anyone who has seen Jesus or experienced Jesus has experienced the Father. Now we're going to break down who Jesus, when he was on this earth, how he described himself. He told the disciples in his word, he says, I am the bread of life. He sustains and he satisfies.
[00:07:39] Amen. John 8:12.
[00:07:42] He calls himself the light of the world. Jesus spoke to the people once more and he said, I am the light of the world. If you follow me, and you won't have to walk in darkness because you will have the light that leads to life.
[00:07:58] Jesus is the light. He brings clarity. He brings truth. He brings direction.
[00:08:06] He brings light to the dark places. Amen. He reveals.
[00:08:11] Hallelujah. John 10:11.
[00:08:14] Again, this is how Jesus described himself when he was on this earth. Jesus said, I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd sacrifices his life for the sheep. Now, this was before he went to the cross. And we all know that Jesus sacrificed his life. The final and the ultimate sacrifice, the greatest sacrifice to all mankind because of love, was Jesus. Here he is the good shepherd. He sacrificed his life for. For us, for love. A good shepherd protects.
[00:08:51] A good shepherd guides, and a good shepherd leads. A good shepherd lays down his his life.
[00:09:00] Lays down his life. And that is exactly what Jesus did. And that's exactly who Jesus is today. Still today, he is the good shepherd in our life.
[00:09:12] Recently, I lost my mother in April. Suddenly, shocker, shocker, not what I wanted.
[00:09:21] And I've been walking out grief.
[00:09:25] And I have needed a good shepherd in these last three months. And I had told someone recently as well. They've experienced loss in their church. And I said, she's a pastor. I said, you need to allow Jesus to shepherd you in this grief and loss.
[00:09:47] I had to say, shepherd me, Jesus. Shepherd me in these moments, Jesus. Amen.
[00:09:53] We have to allow him to be the good shepherd in our life.
[00:09:58] So moving on of how Jesus described himself when he walked the earth. John 11:25.
[00:10:05] Jesus told her many different people that Jesus was speaking to.
[00:10:10] I am the resurrection and the life.
[00:10:15] Anyone who believes in me will live even after dying. Hallelujah. The greatest setup ever is Jesus. Even when we die, we live.
[00:10:27] Even though my mom died, she lives forevermore because of Jesus. So Jesus said, I am the resurrection and the life.
[00:10:38] He had a power that raised him from the dead. And the same power that raised him from the dead is the same power on the inside of us.
[00:10:48] We have the power to tread on scorpions and snakes. We have the power to say no in Jesus name. Flee from my home in Jesus name. We have that power because he says we have that power. Amen.
[00:11:05] But Jesus is the resurrection. He is the life.
[00:11:10] It hinges on belief.
[00:11:13] See all of this stuff that I'm talking about? We have to believe it.
[00:11:19] We have to believe it. And not only can we believe it, but we can extend, experience it. We can encounter it because it is Him. It's that part of knowing him and walking with Jesus. Amen.
[00:11:36] John 14 and 6. Moving on to how Jesus describes himself. Because Jesus is the exact image of the Father, anyone who has seen Jesus has seen the Father. So Jesus goes on to say, John 14:6. Jesus told him, I am the way, the truth and the life.
[00:11:59] No one can come to the Father except through Jesus.
[00:12:04] Many religions today, they leave out one factor. They may believe, but their belief can be put in the wrong places.
[00:12:13] But if you leave out Jesus, where are you going?
[00:12:18] What are you doing?
[00:12:19] No one can come to the Father except through Jesus. That is why salvation.
[00:12:26] Declaring Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Knowing Jesus, knowing Jesus.
[00:12:34] For their lack of knowledge, people are being destroyed. Knowing Jesus or not knowing Jesus is why people are being destroyed. We have to know Jesus.
[00:12:48] He is the way. He is truth and he is life, resurrection and life. Jesus brings new life. He brings hope in every situation. I love that song this morning. The hope in me. The hope in me. He is the hope in us.
[00:13:08] He is the way, the truth and life. He is our path, he is our reality. And he is the source of source of every true living thing. Amen.
[00:13:19] John 15, 5. Jesus goes on to say, yes, I am the vine, you are the branches.
[00:13:27] Those who remain in me and I in them will produce much fruit. For apart from me, you can do nothing.
[00:13:37] Being attached to Jesus as the vine, we then become like a branch. He's given an analogy to who he was explaining this to. Like a grapevine that has the little branches that branch out and then the fruit grows. Jesus is explaining, I am the source.
[00:13:57] I am the source. He is our source. Our job is not our source. Our job title is not our source. Our business is not our source. Our bank account is not our source. Our my husband is not my source. I love you, though.
[00:14:15] Glad for you.
[00:14:17] One of my safe places.
[00:14:20] That's not our source.
[00:14:23] Jesus is our source. Amen.
[00:14:28] We can attach to people and we can be like, come on, pray for me. Come on, pray for me. And I believe in that. I think that is wonderful when people reach out and say, I, I need prayer. Pastor Tina. I love that I take that Serious. But one thing I cannot do for you, I cannot believe for you.
[00:14:50] You have to believe for yourself.
[00:14:56] And you have to know because you know, because the word says it for you.
[00:15:03] We too well to believe for other people.
[00:15:07] Sometimes we fall short believing for ourselves. Oh, I'm not worthy of that. Yes, you are worthy of it all.
[00:15:15] He says you're worthy of it all. He gave it to you all. All in abundance, to the full. When he gave his life on the cross, it wasn't just for that moment. It wasn't just for that timeline and history.
[00:15:30] It wasn't just for the people that was there there. That was like, oh, I believe in Jesus, and he's going to the cross and I know what's happening next. It wasn't just for those people.
[00:15:42] It was forever and ever until he comes back. Amen.
[00:15:49] For you and I, for our children's children.
[00:15:53] Amen.
[00:15:55] Now Jesus goes on. I'm so grateful for our team meetings at work because they. This was something that came out of a team meeting, and I was like, whoa, girl, you just added to my message. And I've actually wrote a sermon on this, too, so. Pastor Kyle, whenever. Whenever you want, you know, I'm just saying.
[00:16:14] Matthew 11, 28 and 30. This one is so good.
[00:16:18] Jesus said, he reveals himself in the world, in the Word and in the world.
[00:16:28] Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.
[00:16:39] Take my yoke upon you.
[00:16:42] Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
[00:16:54] For my yoke is easy to bear and the burden I give you is light.
[00:17:02] Back up to 28. This is so good.
[00:17:05] Jesus says, come to me all, all, all who are weary and heavy laden.
[00:17:19] He is so great and so powerful. If the whole world came to him today, which is what we pray for, that every knee shall bow and every tongue confess the name of the Lord Jesus. It doesn't overwhelm him.
[00:17:34] He says, come to me, all of you who are weary and heavy laden. This scripture doesn't say, come to me, all of you that have it all together.
[00:17:45] It doesn't say, come to me, all of you that are perfect and doing the Word exactly. No, it does not say that. Why? Because Jesus knew. God knew. Let me put it this way. That we all need a savior.
[00:18:00] That we all needed a savior because the law could not be kept by man.
[00:18:06] God sent a savior for us to fulfill the law and bring about a new covenant in Christ Jesus. Amen.
[00:18:20] Come to Me, all who are weary and carry heavy burdens. This past three months, the grief has been heavy. I told a friend, I said, you know what? It's been like a black hole all of a sudden. Three months has flown by, you know? But I refuse to be sucked into that black hole of grief. I have went to Jesus. I have carried the burdens of grief. I've carried. I've carried the weariness. I've carried the tears. And I've said, lord Jesus, I need you to help me. I need you to be my strength when I am weak.
[00:19:02] I need you, Jesus.
[00:19:05] I need you right now to help me deliver this message, Father, with clarity. Thank you, Jesus. It's just that simple.
[00:19:12] Is Jesus like, oh, Tina's crying again.
[00:19:18] Tina's coming to me with grief again.
[00:19:21] Jesus, he's never like that.
[00:19:24] He intercedes for us in the heavenly realms of the. The heavenly places. He's seated at the right hand of the Father, making intercession for us. And when we go before him and when we make our request known, he loves it.
[00:19:42] He loves it. He loves it. He is close to the brokenhearted. He is close to the brokenhearted. But you know what? He is the one that mends the broken heart, too.
[00:19:54] A great exchange happens when you come to him, come to me, who are weary and heavy burdened, and I. He will give you rest. Let's go on to 29 again. I'm going to break this down just for a minute.
[00:20:10] I will teach you.
[00:20:14] He says, I will teach you.
[00:20:19] Teach me what? Whatever you need.
[00:20:22] Whatever you need. He will teach you.
[00:20:25] How do I release the burden? He will teach you.
[00:20:31] Through his word, through revelation, we carry burdens. We stay in the wilderness. The wilderness. And the burden becomes our identity. That is not our identity.
[00:20:46] Our identity is to be at work. Rest.
[00:20:49] You will find rest for your souls.
[00:20:53] Rest.
[00:20:55] Blessed is our identity. Amen.
[00:20:59] So I'm an office manager, right?
[00:21:03] You're like, oh, this is too much. He's everything. Yes, you're right. He is everything.
[00:21:08] Well, how can he be everything? Well, because we need him and everything.
[00:21:13] He is who we need him to be, and the moment we need him to be, it.
[00:21:19] I'm an office manager.
[00:21:21] I'm a pastor. I'm a mother, I'm a wife.
[00:21:26] I'm a friend.
[00:21:28] I'm a. Whatever else you want to say.
[00:21:33] Amazing. What. Whatever it is. Whatever it is, you know, ask the Lord. Years ago, Kyle always knew what he was called to because. Because the Lord spoke to him. And I'm just like, I don't even know what I'm supposed to do. And I don't want to be bothered by any of that. That's all you. And then one day, I felt the Lord say, be who I've called you to be in the moment. I've called you to be it. Yes, Lord.
[00:21:59] So now when I meet people, it's not like, oh, hi, I'm office manager Tina.
[00:22:06] Hi, I'm Pastor Tina of World Changers Church.
[00:22:10] Hi, I'm the husband of or the wife of Kyle Self.
[00:22:15] I'm the wife of Kyle Self. I'm the mother to Alex, Eli, and now Caitlin and Josiah.
[00:22:22] No, I'm Tina.
[00:22:25] I'm Tina that knows Jesus and allow me to be whatever you need to be in the moment that you know need it. Amen.
[00:22:37] If you need prayer, I'll break it down with you in front of you and silently, like PK said, an assassin. At first I was like, calling me an assassin in front of the church congregation. I'm like, yeah, that's it. Target to the enemy. Get away from them. Yeah, let's keep going. But Jesus said in this, let me teach you.
[00:23:02] And then he gives explanation.
[00:23:05] Because I am humble and gentle at heart. Another version says, I am gentle and lowly.
[00:23:13] He's gentle with us when we make mistakes. He's gentle with us. He's humble. He will teach us. Not only teach us, but we will find rest for our souls. Oh, but we want to hold it. And I get it. I was there years ago.
[00:23:31] I had a pastor tell me, and I didn't like it in the moment because I was holding my box of hurt, and I was justified because I was hurt. And you know what? You don't understand what I went through, and you're never going to understand it. And it's mine.
[00:23:48] And then he came along and he said, okay, you're carrying the box of hurt to the point that you're not even holding to the hands of Jesus.
[00:23:58] I'm like, Cha Ching, okay, I'm free. I'm set free. How do I do this now? How do I live this now? How do I do it?
[00:24:10] Jesus has taught me it's not void of the reality of the hurts or the offenses or the things that come.
[00:24:18] But the reality is I'm clinging to Jesus because I need Him. He's my source. He's my sustainer. He's satisfies me. He's the one that gives me life. He's the One that gives me truth. And he's the one that shows me the way. Amen so now there's so much more in the Word about who Jesus and the Father is.
[00:24:39] Like the names of God, Jehovah, Rapha, Healer, Jehovah, Jireh, our provider.
[00:24:47] He truly is everything that we need him to be.
[00:24:50] And we know him through Jesus.
[00:24:54] Now, the identity, connection, who we are, now that we have some understanding of who he is.
[00:25:03] Acts 17 and 28 says, for in him we live and move and exist. As some of our poets have said, we are his offspring.
[00:25:14] Acts of the Apostles.
[00:25:16] Yeah, that's the address there. Acts of the Apostles.
[00:25:20] Another version says, in him we live, we move, and we have our very being.
[00:25:26] In him we exist. In him, we live. In him, we move. In him we know we're sustained. In him we have the light that gives us direction. In him we are shepherded and find rest for our souls. In him we find gentleness and lowly and approachable. Amen.
[00:25:49] It's in him that we live, it's in him that we move, and it's in him that we have our very being.
[00:25:56] Colossians 3 and 3 says this for you died to this life and your real life is hidden with Christ in God.
[00:26:10] You died to a natural life.
[00:26:13] We recently had someone give their life to Jesus and she was so excited to be water baptized.
[00:26:22] People went popped on the World Changers T shirt and off to a pool they went to be water baptized.
[00:26:28] They didn't need us.
[00:26:30] She was ready right then and there. Oh, wait a minute, let me call the pastors to come. Come. No, I'm thankful that this person was like, boom, world. I've got a World Changers T shirt. I want to bet. And even if he didn't have a World Changers T shirt, she gave her life to Jesus and she died to a natural life and exchanged that life for a new life hidden in Christ Jesus. Glory Hallelujah.
[00:27:02] How beautiful is that Our life is hidden with Christ in God. Galatians 2 and 20.
[00:27:11] My old self has been crucified with Christ.
[00:27:15] It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.
[00:27:21] So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me. The great exchange.
[00:27:31] The great exchange.
[00:27:33] When you give your life to Christ Jesus, there is an exchange that happens. Old things pass away and behold, all things become new. And that newness is a journey. And that journey comes by knowing Jesus, by knowing Jesus, by knowing the Word, by reading the Word, by being deceived, discipled. Amen.
[00:27:59] An exchange.
[00:28:01] When I go to the US Just A little analogy. When I go to the US or when I come back from the us, normally I have cash and so I go to the exchange counter, I think it's crown currency.
[00:28:17] And I make an exchange. I say, you know what, here's my, my hundred US dollar and, and they'll give me around 150, 3, 52 dollars depending on the exchange rate. 150 some dollars for Australian. Why? Because my American money is not the currency of Australia.
[00:28:40] Let me tell you. There is a currency of the kingdom and it's attached to faith. Amen. None of the fleshly things will work in this spiritual realm. The currency of heaven. Amen.
[00:28:59] See, a mirror will reflect what it faces.
[00:29:04] When we face the word of God, we reflect truth, we reflect life.
[00:29:11] When we face the world, we reflect.
[00:29:16] I think it's a very confused world nowadays.
[00:29:21] We'll face or reflect confusion.
[00:29:25] But when we behold Jesus, when we know Jesus, we reflect him. And then for people that we encountered. Josiah sent me a message yesterday. Blessed my heart mightily, and I'm going to reach out to her.
[00:29:41] Kyle and I both were busy and he got an Uber to come home and he had a conversation with the lady in the Uber car. And he sent me a message with a phone number. Her name actually is Cass as well, spelled the same way.
[00:29:58] Phone number Cass. And I'm like, oh, I already have our number, you know. And he goes on to say, mom, I met this lady Cass, and she's new to Jesus and she'd really love to share her story with you and she'd really love to have some prayer and maybe connect him with the church. I said, yes, Jojo, I'll call her. I will call her son.
[00:30:22] Jojo in that moment was reflecting Jesus.
[00:30:26] He was reflecting Jesus by letting his light shine for Jesus.
[00:30:32] So when people encounter us, they see hope. How many times have you been asked, how did you make it through?
[00:30:41] How did you make it through? And then you can declare, because of Jesus. That's where he gets the glory. Amen. It's because of Jesus. It's because of Jesus. I believe Jesus for it, and I came through it. Amen.
[00:30:58] Now here's the deep dive.
[00:31:03] Here's the deep dive. Second Peter, 1, 3, 4. Pastor Jeremy, let's go back to that scripture now. We're going to take the deep dive.
[00:31:14] By his power, by his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life.
[00:31:26] His divine power, his divine power.
[00:31:33] It's a supernatural ability.
[00:31:37] His divine power, not a human strength. Not by Power not by might, but by the spirit of God.
[00:31:46] The same power that raised Jesus from the dead and is the same power on the inside of us. He's given us that. He's given us this supernatural ability.
[00:31:59] How does it work? By faith?
[00:32:02] No, but how does it work? I don't know. It just works when you believe. Just like Wi fi. Do you see it? No, I don't see it either. How does it work? I have no idea.
[00:32:15] But I know that when I connect with into a wi fi, no matter where I am, there is a power source that comes from somewhere. Well, hallelujah. Glory be to God. Same thing in the supernatural realm. When we connect in with the spirit of God, when we connect in with Jesus, there is a supernatural ability. Can we see it? No. Can we feel it? Sometimes. Maybe. Sometimes not. But when you believe, there is a movement, there is a currency, there is a wave. Something happens, something takes place that shifts atmospheres, it shifts communities, it shifts your own heart. It transforms.
[00:32:57] It's his.
[00:32:59] His that's on the inside of us.
[00:33:04] It's active in us daily.
[00:33:07] He's given it everything we need to live a godly life.
[00:33:14] Everything for life and godliness.
[00:33:17] A word for life is Zoe. It's an abundant life. It's an eternal life. A lot of times people believe in the eternal life, but they forget about or it's not so easy to believe the abundant life that we can have in Christ Jesus.
[00:33:34] The prosperous life. Yes, I said the word. Oh, she said prosperity. Yes, it is prosperity.
[00:33:43] Prosperity is not just money.
[00:33:45] Prosperity is everything that pertains to life and godliness. Peace, joy, all the fruits of the spirit.
[00:33:53] An abundant life. This is the life it's talking about. An abundant life. An eternal life marked by peace, joy and purpose.
[00:34:03] And then it goes on to say, in this version, I'm reading godliness. Godliness. What does that mean? Living in reverence, reflecting the character of God. Knowing that you are righteous because he's called you righteous in right standing with God. It's not about doing right to get right. It's about you've already got right. And when you understand just how right you really are because of Jesus. Jesus, you then will live, right? Amen.
[00:34:31] See, because the flesh.
[00:34:35] Thank you, Jesus. The flesh and the spirit are constantly contrary, one to another. See, we still have this flesh nature.
[00:34:46] We still have this flesh nature.
[00:34:50] Okay, now I'm preaching the, the. The highlight reel of it all. But there is a behind the scenes. We still have the flesh nature. This is the behind the scenes that a lot of us don't reveal. But you know what?
[00:35:05] I don't mind revealing things.
[00:35:08] We have a flesh nature.
[00:35:11] The flesh will want to what, Draw us away.
[00:35:16] And then when we're drawn away by the lust and the deceitfulness of our flesh, that's where we can sin or not get into believing or make poor choices that could lead to bad things. Okay?
[00:35:33] That's why we have to be subject.
[00:35:36] We have to allow the spirit of God to lead us. That's why we have to know Jesus. But this realm of everything that protects pertains to life and godliness. Is nothing missing, nothing broken, Everything that we need in Christ Jesus.
[00:35:57] Pastor Jeremy, let's go on breaking down the scripture for a moment.
[00:36:02] Are you learning anything this morning?
[00:36:07] Amen. He's given us everything we need for living a godly life. Well, I don't know what I need. Go to him and he will teach you what you need. Amen.
[00:36:18] Or come to wise counsel. He will teach you what you need as well.
[00:36:24] We have received all of this by coming to know him.
[00:36:29] We have received this by coming to know him. Another version says, through the knowledge of him, we. You know, when my husband and I first met, it was not a holy encounter. Some we even had someone recently say, wow, you know, I. I didn't know that you guys came from a background like that. I thought you guys came from a posh background. No, no, we're Southern American. You know, bootleggers, moonshine or whatever they did, all jacked up. You know, I didn't live in the city, but my father, small business owner, and my lineage is near Nashville. Not, well, Nashville, Tennessee. And, you know, my lineage is, you know, just poor is my lineage.
[00:37:23] And, you know, Kyle and I, it wasn't a holy encounter. We didn't meet in church. We met in a bar and we were drunk and we didn't know Jesus, you know, and we almost didn't get married. He left me 30 days before the wedding for a cocktail waitress.
[00:37:43] You know, you tell my secrets.
[00:37:48] No, no. We're not ashamed of our background. That's been redeemed and renewed. Amen. Redeemed and renewed. Redeemed and renewed.
[00:37:58] We're going to celebrate and made 25 years of marriage and amen. Oh, Jesus.
[00:38:06] And we're going to release some more inside the life of Colentina that you guys can listen to and watch about our marriage journey. Because it's been Jesus, it's been a redeemed marriage. You know, I won't say anymore. It's not my Message. But, you know, he's given.
[00:38:26] What I was going to say is, is when we met, even the state that we were in, we had to become to know one another.
[00:38:37] You know, we had to know one another.
[00:38:40] We had to, you know, what do you like? Oh, what do you like? You know, what do you like to do? What's your convictions? What's your morals? What you're this, what you're that. And you know, it's interesting because along the way in our journey of dating and then marriage, we have grown so much, but we've always grown together. Well, he's always been light years ahead of me. But that we've grown together in Jesus, we have to know Him. Intimacy unlocks the relationship with Him. We have to have this relationship. We've received all of this by coming to know Him.
[00:39:24] We have to know Him.
[00:39:27] And then it goes on to say, the One that called us to Himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. Amen. Let's go on to the next scripture.
[00:39:41] And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us a great and precious promises.
[00:39:49] Well, what are these promises?
[00:39:51] Well, these are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world's corruption, corruption caused by human desires.
[00:40:01] His promises sustain and empower us. We have promised so many promises. How many are there? Honey, I think you know the number. It's like it's a lot of promises in the Bible, but just some of those promises that we have that empower us and enable us to share or partake of this divine nature is healing, it's provision, it's protection, it's peace, it's love, it's joy, it's eternal life.
[00:40:38] You know, I could go on and on and on, on and on and on, but I think you get it. We have these promises and then we become partakers of his divine nature.
[00:40:53] Not any divine nature, only His.
[00:40:56] We don't become God, but God's spirit lives within us. We become transformed from the inside out.
[00:41:05] And this transforms our desires, it transforms our thoughts, and it transforms our actions. Amen.
[00:41:15] By knowing him, we then partake. We then become partakers.
[00:41:22] We partake of salvation.
[00:41:26] Salvation is the doorway that unites us with God, Christ.
[00:41:32] We. We then become partakers of his divine nature. Amen.
[00:41:38] And then we escape the world's corruption caused by human desires. I think you get it about the flesh that draws us away, the lust and deceitfulness of our flesh. Amen.
[00:41:52] And then through faith in Christ, we know that Christ lives within me, that I have salvation.
[00:42:00] His Spirit dwells within me. His spirit helps me.
[00:42:06] His Spirit is my unseen partner here on this earth. His Spirit leads me. His spirit convicts me. His spirit empowers me. His spirit produces fruit because I'm connected in and I know Him. Amen.
[00:42:23] Amen.
[00:42:26] How?
[00:42:27] How?
[00:42:31] By yielding daily, by surrendering daily, by yielding daily, by surrendering daily allows his divine nature to transform us.
[00:42:46] You know, we can't forgive someone on our own.
[00:42:50] Well, you can or you think you can.
[00:42:53] But when you realize just how much you've been forgiven, it empowers you to forgive others. When you realize, you know what, Jesus forgave me my past, my present, and even my future sin. He forgave me before I even entered the earth.
[00:43:11] He forgave me when he hung on that cross. And when you realize just how forgiven you are, that's the key to forgiving yourself.
[00:43:26] Somebody hear me here. That is the key to forgiving yourself.
[00:43:33] When you know how much you have been forgiven, when you get the reality, the kingdom reality, when you know him, when you know him, when you take that shame, when you take that guilt, when you take that unforgiveness for yourself or others, when you take that to him, when you surrender it to him, he gives you a perspective. He gives you revelation which is teaching you.
[00:44:10] He gives you a revelation of just how redeemed you really are. But you need to redeem it within you. You need to allow that to be transformed by the spirit of God on the inside of you. Amen.
[00:44:29] We abide in Christ. We abide in Him. Apart from him, we can do nothing. But we need to abide in Him. Abide in him through his Word and his promises.
[00:44:44] Man, we got to know the Word. We got to know the Word. You need to get the Word in you.
[00:44:50] There is nothing like a supercharge of it. Just like supercharges. I don't know how it happens, but put it on as you're driving down the road, as you're running, as you're on the treadmill, if you got a job that you don't answer, you know, phone calls, put the Word on. You know, you can audio it and listen to it whenever you want. It's the greatest thing ever.
[00:45:16] Then we got to renew our minds by the word of God.
[00:45:21] You know, a neuroscientist, Dr. Caroline Leaf, she has proven that we literally have the ability.
[00:45:30] Hello. God made us with the ability to renew our minds. We have the ability to take every thought captive according to the word of God, not accept bad Thoughts. And even the bad thoughts can be renewed, can be renewed by truth.
[00:45:49] By truth.
[00:45:51] Amen.
[00:45:53] Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah.
[00:45:57] Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah.
[00:46:01] Let me just recap this a little bit.
[00:46:06] How we know God is through the Father.
[00:46:10] How we know.
[00:46:11] No. How we know God is through Jesus is through Jesus.
[00:46:17] Jesus was the Word made flesh.
[00:46:20] Jesus walked this earth. And Jesus tells us in His Word exactly who he is.
[00:46:29] He gives us instruction for life.
[00:46:32] He gives us instruction of even how to live life in him. How to live life in your business, how to live life. You know before God how to not succumb by the lust and deceitfulness of your flesh.
[00:46:48] His Word teaches us that.
[00:46:50] And then, you know what? If it's like, I'm just newly saved and this Bible is so overwhelming, it's going to take me years. You know what? Go to him, because you know what? He will teach you. He will speak to you. He will show you. Don't be overwhelmed. There's times that I anchor in one scripture. I think I've read the Bible through and through one time, one time, maybe twice, I don't know over my years. But I find that it's not the quantity that I read in a day. It's the quality of time spent in the truth.
[00:47:33] And I find an address, and my most recent address has been Philippians 4, 6, and 7.
[00:47:39] I find that address, and I sit at that address for a little while, and I meditate on it. Then I think on it, and I glorify God with it. And then I renew it in my mind. I renew it in my heart. I thank God for it. I think of it when I worship Him.
[00:47:58] Amen.
[00:48:01] Sometimes it's not about the quality or the quantity that you read, but the quality of time spent.
[00:48:07] And if you're new, don't be overwhelmed.
[00:48:10] What did that scripture say in Matthew?
[00:48:13] Come to me and he will teach you.
[00:48:17] Amen.
[00:48:18] He's approachable. He's gentle. He'll never smack you down, ever. Some religions actually teach that. That he is a God that will smack you down for doing bad. I don't know. That's not my Bible. It says that he is love. There's times that He. He corrects, but he corrects in love and gentleness.
[00:48:39] His nature is never to smack us down.
[00:48:43] And even Job. Ha ha. This is for someone.
[00:48:46] Oh. Oh.
[00:48:49] Oh.
[00:48:50] Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus.
[00:48:53] Whoo. Okay. Okay. Lord, thank you. Help me. Help me articulate this. Thank you, Lord.
[00:49:03] Yes. Okay. Sorry. As a moment with Him. This is what happens sometimes. That's him teaching me of what to say to someone. Here. This is a rhema word clung to the book of Job.
[00:49:20] You've identified all that you've went through because Job went through through it.
[00:49:28] Let me read a scripture in job 42.
[00:49:34] Yes, job went through a lot.
[00:49:39] Job went through a lot.
[00:49:41] And maybe you have went through a lot as well, if you don't know who Job did. He lost friends. He lost family members. He lost. He lost. He lost his life. He lost so much in his life.
[00:49:59] So much that he. What did he do, honey?
[00:50:03] He. He. He had oils like his skin from all that he went through. He would. He was so uncomfortable. He'd scrape his skin. He just, like, went through a lot of things.
[00:50:18] And then people said, you know why? Your God did this? Your God did that. I'm not going to believe your God. But Job, in 42. 5, he said this.
[00:50:32] I had only heard about you before. God. He's talking about God. I had only heard about you before, but now I have seen you with my own eyes.
[00:50:47] I take back everything that I have said about you, God. Job said a lot of things about God. He cursed God.
[00:50:56] Because all that. All that Job went through, he was angry at God. He cursed God.
[00:51:05] But then he said, now I have seen you with my own eyes.
[00:51:12] I take back everything that I said. And I sit in dust and ashes to show you my repentance.
[00:51:26] And then what did the Lord do?
[00:51:32] Job then forgave and he prayed for his friends.
[00:51:36] And it says that the Lord restored his fortunes.
[00:51:41] The Lord gave him twice as much as before.
[00:51:45] Then all his brothers, sisters and his former friends came and feasted with him in his home. And they consoled him and comforted him because of all the trials the Lord had brought against him.
[00:52:02] Him.
[00:52:03] And each of them brought him a gift of money and a gold ring. So the Lord blessed Job in the second half of his life, even more than in the beginning.
[00:52:18] So, Job, you're not Job.
[00:52:24] The Lord is not doing it to you.
[00:52:28] Just a circumstance, a moment in time. A time that will pass in your life.
[00:52:35] Your identity is in Christ Jesus. You are blessed. You are prosperous. You are more than enough. You are forgiven.
[00:52:46] You are forgiven. Amen.
[00:52:51] Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. One last scripture. Thank you, Jesus. I know I'm out of time. Are you guys good?
[00:53:00] Are you guys good? I've got one more scripture.
[00:53:03] Let's go to Habakkuk 3, 17 and 19.
[00:53:10] How do I do this life, Lord? How Do I do this life in Christ.
[00:53:15] Habakkuk, the one that says that it is by the lack of knowledge the people are being destroyed. The lack of knowing him. People are being destroyed.
[00:53:24] Habakkuk says here, even though the fig trees have no blossoms and there are no grapes on the vines, Even though the olive crop fails and the fields lie empty and barren.
[00:53:38] Even though the flocks die in the fields and the cattle barns are empty. Sounds like there's a lot of lack. Hey.
[00:53:48] Yet I will rejoice in the Lord. I will be joyful and the God of my salvation. Let's go on to the last one. The sovereign Lord is my strength. He makes me as sure footed as a deer, able to tread upon the heights. So here was Habakkuk. He had a lot of lack. Even though there's no no foot fruit, no crop, no cattle, no nothing. He said, even though I will praise you God, I will praise you God, for you will strengthen me.
[00:54:24] When times are difficult, when you don't know, when you don't understand, it's just as simple as that. You partake in his divine nature. You partake in his divine nature. Even though it looks all jacked up. Even though it's barren. Even though I myself feel confused. Even though I don't even know if I'm saved. Even though partake in his divine nature.
[00:54:51] Amen.
