Show Notes

Grace secures it. Faith walks it. This message confronts the pressure of Old Covenant thinking that still haunts New Covenant believers — the lie that God's blessing depends on performance, and his presence depends on a good week. Rooted in Galatians 3, Ephesians 1, and Deuteronomy 28, the truth is declared: Christ has redeemed from the curse so that the blessings of Abraham are already secured. Security is not earned. It is received. Stop measuring God's nearness by emotions. Stop walking in old-covenant pressure. Grace has done it. Now walk it out in faith.

[00:00:00] Welcome to the World Changers Church Gold Coast Podcast. Join us as we listen to today's message. [00:00:07] Amen. [00:00:09] You know, this morning, God's been talking all morning. And for some of you, that may sound strange. [00:00:16] You may be like, well, is he hearing voices in his head? [00:00:21] Most likely, yes. Praise the Lord. There's me thoughts and his thoughts, and they are definitely different. Amen. Amen. [00:00:30] Me thoughts and his thoughts. [00:00:32] I don't know about you this morning, but I feel like God is. [00:00:35] There's people searching here this morning, and I don't really feel like I need to start with a message. Until you receive some significant answers, I'm not here to give them to you as an authority. [00:00:47] I'm here to guide you with some answers right now as the Holy Spirit leads. [00:00:53] How many are believing for a healing this morning in your body? [00:00:57] Raise your hand up high. [00:00:59] All right. [00:01:01] Where does healing come from, Tony? [00:01:05] The blood of Jesus. [00:01:08] Everybody raised your hand. Can you raise your hand again? [00:01:12] Has the blood of Jesus been shed? [00:01:16] Then is your healing available? [00:01:19] Is God holding that healing back from you? [00:01:22] Then have you received that healing right now? [00:01:25] In Jesus name, Amen. [00:01:29] Well, Pastor Kyle, you sound like you're a little horsey this morning. You sound like you got a cold. [00:01:35] No, What I have is a symptom that has taken some people out for two weeks. And for me, it's only taken me out for 24 hours because I believe in the blood. [00:01:42] Amen. I'm not fighting a symptom. [00:01:46] A symptom is fighting the healing of Jesus in my body. [00:01:49] And if I give it permission, it will win. [00:01:53] Amen. [00:01:55] When I give it permission, it will win the moment. I believe that this virus or bacteria or dis ease is more powerful than the blood of Jesus. It's not that it is. I've just believed that it is. [00:02:10] I put my faith and trust in Jesus. Amen. [00:02:14] Amen. [00:02:15] Second thing I'm feeling this morning is some people are looking for divine direction in your life. And this may be a job, it may be other things, and this is a multitude of people. [00:02:25] The Bible says that Jesus ordains the footsteps of the righteous. [00:02:30] And he says, I am a lamp unto your feet. [00:02:37] You almost had it. [00:02:39] I am a lamp unto your feet. [00:02:42] That means that God is guiding and leading the way. But what's around a lamp you ever had, like your iPhone or your watch or your Android if you're a sinner? No, I'm kidding. [00:02:57] I rebuke it. In Jesus name. [00:03:00] Amen. [00:03:01] And so you got your little lamp, right? And it only covers a certain distance. [00:03:08] What surrounds that lamp as light cast what also is cast a shadow. [00:03:16] So if you shine the light this way, you take it off the path. [00:03:21] So whatever you focus on is where you're shining your light. So if you're thinking, I should look this way and I should look that way, and I should look this way, amen, then you're not on your divine direction. You're actually looking away from what God said. [00:03:37] So I got a word for you. You got to start doing what God said last until God says something different. But can I tell you something? God's not changing his mind. He is not on a couch with a little blue pill or a yellow pill with Gabriel and Michael counseling him. He is not changing his mind. He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. That means the only person that is changing their mind is you. [00:04:03] The Holy Spirit speaks clearly and he speaks plainly. Looking unto Jesus, the author and the finisher for of our faith. I love it when Timmy's up on words. Praise the Lord. [00:04:14] I told you I wasn't going to waver today. But we did so two words today to make them clear. [00:04:21] Let Jesus lead. Let the Holy Spirit lead you. [00:04:25] Okay, the other word is healing is not only available, it is not coming. [00:04:33] It is present. [00:04:35] Amen. [00:04:37] Align yourself with your divine healing that is already present. [00:04:42] Have you received a word today? Give the Lord a hand clap of praise. [00:04:48] All right, let's get to the message that God wants us to preach today. Amen. So one of the things I've been thinking about as this is not Pentecost Sunday, as the email said, because I got really excited and released an email 46 days before Pentecost Sunday. [00:05:03] As we lead ourselves up to Pentecost Sunday, we're in the festival of weeks that when Pentecost Sunday happens, it is the 50th day. So I began to intrigue the Lord with all my theories and theologies and doctrine and sermonettes. Ooh, let's talk about the harvest. Let's talk about the festivals. Let's talk about this. And he said, let's talk about Shakur. [00:05:28] Because if you're going to walk in power, you have to be confident in who you are and who God has called you to be. [00:05:38] And you have to be secure in the power thereof. Not the likeness of that power, but the power. [00:05:47] So I'm gonna make a very bold statement, and I'm gonna say something. Cause we have a lot of new people here this morning. [00:05:53] This is not a denominational message. This is a Bible message. So if you've never heard it before, it's because it is not a denominational message, it is not a theology. It is a Bible message that is not derived of man to inspire man, but given by the Holy Spirit to help guide you. [00:06:16] Amen. [00:06:18] So grace secures it, faith walks it. [00:06:25] Why do I not feel secure? [00:06:28] Because I know that God has supplied everything, but I'm not walking it out in faith. [00:06:35] It's similar to like, you know, I don't want to use that analogy. I'll just get myself in trouble. [00:06:43] No, I'm not going to do it. [00:06:45] But it's similar to, you know, when you go to bed at night and you're like, did I lock the door? [00:06:52] You know, you locked the door. You remember standing there locking the door, but you have now convinced yourself that you haven't. And you go and check the door and it is locked and you're like, I knew I locked it. [00:07:06] That's not faith, that's just second guessing. [00:07:09] A lot of times we do the same thing with God. [00:07:13] Jesus, did you really do it? Holy Spirit, did you really say it? God, are you really leading me? [00:07:19] Faith knows what God has done and faith knows what God has said. And it is unwavering. [00:07:30] So good morning, church. [00:07:33] I want to start with a question that I think a lot of believers have in life. [00:07:37] Even if they've never said it out loud. You know, those intrusive thoughts that you never say out loud. I'm one of those people that say all those things out loud. [00:07:46] Have you figured that out yet? [00:07:48] So when life gets hard and when pressure builds and when things go wrong or don't feel right or we miss the mark, we begin to wonder if God has pulled back from us. [00:07:59] Is God still present? [00:08:02] Do you ever feel like when you are doing well spiritually, you feel confident, you can sing differently, you can pray differently, but when you are struggling, you start feeling uncertain again. [00:08:16] Do you ever feel like when your week is strong in faith, you feel blessed, but when your week is messy, you start to ask, where was God? [00:08:26] I knew the devil was attacking me because I didn't shut the door at the church or shake the pastor's hand. [00:08:36] That was not a jab at anyone that didn't shake my hand because that's how a lot of believers believe. [00:08:44] They base everything when it concerns God based on how their weak looks. [00:08:53] With God being able to see the beginning, the end, the in between, and the before and after, and seeing what man would do in all of its messiness and why would he Send his son if he did not believe that we would choose him. [00:09:12] That's one that will boggle you neuter later. [00:09:15] The love that God gave that Jesus bestowed is deep down. [00:09:21] And they still think that if I do right enough, God will bless me more. [00:09:26] If I get it wrong, maybe he stepped out on me. [00:09:30] If I pray enough, serve enough, read enough and maybe then I'll feel secure because I've done what I need to do. [00:09:39] If your faith is built on your actions, your faith is fragile. [00:09:49] My faith is built on the actions of the Father, the moving of the Holy Spirit and what Jesus did on the cross. [00:09:59] Come on somebody. [00:10:02] So when you begin to think that if you do enough, God will move, that is not new covenant thinking, that is Old Testament belief systems that have snuck in the old covenant pressure is trying to live inside a is trying to relive inside of every redeemed believer. [00:10:22] And if you don't settle this in your heart, you can begin to have this language that is outside of the grace and mercy of God. [00:10:32] You're still putting on. If I do good, I get good. If I do bad, I get bad. And you're still living under the old blessing and cursings mentality. [00:10:42] Jesus. Can I finalize this? If you read your Bible says he took the curse so that you wouldn't. [00:10:53] Alright, meddling a little bit. [00:10:55] So this morning I want to settle some hearts and steady some faith. I want to show you that from the word of God that Christ took all and everything that you deserved. [00:11:12] Amen. [00:11:14] He took the curse. Insecurity, constant uncertainty. [00:11:19] He stabilized our faith. [00:11:23] Amen. [00:11:24] It was so unstable before. Think about it. Well, Do I have to give a peace offering with a dove today? Do I gotta add a goat? Do I gotta add a sheep? Do I gotta throw some coins in there? Do I gotta burn some incense? I don't know. I gotta go to the rabbi to figure out what I gotta give today before I even know what's a sufficient sacrifice for my actions. And then if I mess up really bad, I gotta survive a whole year for there to be a sufficient sacrifice. I'm gonna live in turmoil a whole year until I can make the proper sacrifice. [00:11:56] Jesus stabilized our faith in Christ. [00:12:08] The blessing is secure. [00:12:11] There is no condemnation in Christ Jesus. [00:12:14] Amen. [00:12:16] And now the Holy Spirit leads us not to earn what Jesus has already purchased. [00:12:21] That's like when somebody buys you lunch and you're still trying to pay for it. You ever met those people, Lord Jesus? [00:12:34] But to walk in life, peace, fruit, freedom and promises that grace has Already provided. You have to accept that it's done when your mama says it's going to be okay. [00:12:53] Maybe it won't be when your daddy says it's going to be okay. Maybe it won't be when the baby needs a new pair of shoes and the light bill's due and you ain't got a job. [00:13:06] There's got to be some trust. [00:13:09] God will come through. [00:13:12] If you're gonna understand the beauty of the new covenant, then we must first understand the old covenant and what it revealed. Deuteronomy 28:1 2. We're not going backwards to come forwards. [00:13:24] Starting, and then we're finishing. [00:13:28] Now, it shall come to pass if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all his commandments, which I command you today. That the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. [00:13:45] And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you because you obey the voice of your God. [00:13:55] Now look at this. Then it says in verse 15. [00:14:00] But it shall come to pass if you do not obey the voice of the Lord your God to observe carefully all his commandments and his statutes, which I command you today that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you. [00:14:15] That's some scary stuff. [00:14:18] The structure is clear. Under the old covenant, under the law, blessings and cursings were placed before the people in covenant terms. [00:14:27] All right? In contract terms, obedience brought blessings and disobedience brought curses. [00:14:34] That does not mean that the law was evil. So let's look at Romans 7 and 12. As it says, therefore, the law is holy and. And the commandment holy and just and good. [00:14:47] But in the law, there's only sin and death. So how is it holy? [00:14:51] Okay, let's talk about it. The law revealed the holiness of God. [00:14:57] It showed that righteousness matters, obedience matters. Covenant relationship with God is not something to be treated lightly. [00:15:07] Now listen, all you grace folk. I'm gonna land in grace. [00:15:13] For all you word of faith people, we're gonna land in faith. [00:15:16] And for all you other people, just listen really hard, okay? [00:15:21] The law revealed holiness. The law also carried weight to it because everything rested on man's ability to obey. Did you hear that in Deuteronomy? It rested on your ability to obey. [00:15:33] Okay? [00:15:34] Blessing was connected to performance. And failure was carried with consequences of judgment, distance and curse. [00:15:43] That is why so many believers still struggle inwardly today. Because if they are not grounded in new covenant, they can drag the old framework in their walk with God. They are still thinking, if I do right Maybe God will bless me more if I have a bad week. Maybe I've stepped out and away from God and not obeyed again. [00:16:03] That is Old Covenant before Jesus, thinking that is not today. [00:16:12] I'm going to keep making my case. [00:16:16] So let's look at this. [00:16:21] The reason this pressure feels so normal to us is because the world has trained us to live that way. [00:16:31] In the world, performance gets rewarded, failure gets exposed. [00:16:36] Results get measured. And people are often valued by their produce. [00:16:43] So the flesh understands performance language very well. [00:16:49] That is why Old Covenant pressure feels familiar. [00:16:54] We're not secure under Old Covenant language. [00:16:59] There's no security in that. [00:17:01] Did I sneeze wrong? Did I ask that person to bless them? [00:17:05] Did I grudge in my heart, oh my gosh, Lord Jesus, did I get mad on the M1? Oh, Lord, I went one. [00:17:14] I went just one over Lord Jesus, am I going to hell now? [00:17:21] That is why the Old Covenant pressure feels familiar. But the gospel breaks that system and the deepest level. [00:17:28] The good news says, your standing with God is not built on your produce for him, your performance for him, but on what Christ has already done for you. [00:17:41] Now, for a doer, that's tough, because God gives you something so good and you're like, okay, what do I gotta do? [00:17:51] I'm gonna tell you in a minute. I promise for all you doers, I'm gonna tell you what you gotta do. For all you happy folk that just like man, Jesus is good to me. Hallelujah. I'm gonna tell you what you need to do. [00:18:03] Amen. [00:18:05] The law was never meant to leave man standing under pressure. [00:18:11] It revealed the holiness of God, but it also revealed the weakness of man. [00:18:19] It showed that the issue was never with God's standard. The issue was with us. [00:18:26] The law could tell man what was right. It could not put power in him to become what was commanded. [00:18:36] It could define righteousness, but it could not produce righteousness in fallen humanity. [00:18:42] That is what brings us to the second truth. The law was holy, but it exposed man's instability. Galatians 3 and 10 says this. [00:18:51] For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse, for it is written, cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, and do them we Continue on. James 2, 10 says, for whoever shall keep the whole law and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all. [00:19:14] So I am a Jewish man, probably mingled with a lot of other things. [00:19:21] And if I try and keep the jot and the tittle and the comma of the law. I have to keep the whole law. Again, I am then disputing Christ's sacrifice and saying it is null and void and that I prefer to follow the law in my own strength instead of the strength which the Holy Spirit provides because of Jesus sacrifice on the cross. [00:19:42] That is what these two scriptures are saying to us. [00:19:46] It's saying you cannot fulfill the law or be holy because your righteousness is as filthy rags. Jesus himself said, there is none good but God. [00:19:57] Amen. You cannot be good enough to meet the standard. So stop. [00:20:05] You cannot get God to move through bartership or persuasion or how often you pray a day, or how much you speak in tongues, or how many people you pray for, how much you evangelize, or how much food you hand out. It will never be good enough. [00:20:20] So stop. [00:20:22] That is not freedom. That is performance. [00:20:29] That means the law demanded full obedience. Not partial obedience. [00:20:33] Not good intentions. Not. I meant well. [00:20:37] Full obedience. And when you couldn't provide full obedience, you people that get stuck on 10% of tithe. Some years they had to give 53% of what they had. [00:20:54] Ain't you glad we ain't practicing Jewish law in this house? [00:20:58] Hallelujah. [00:21:00] They had to add another 25% if they sinned. That means everybody that came with 10% was told by a rabbi, Well, I know you messed up with Susie, so praise God. I know you gotta add another 25%. And I also know you didn't bring your own goat, so you gotta provide a little extra money. [00:21:17] Amen. [00:21:19] And you gotta give alms. [00:21:21] Not only you gotta pay for yourself, you gotta pay for somebody who won't feed themselves. [00:21:26] Lord Jesus. Hallelujah. [00:21:30] And you won't live under the old way. [00:21:33] No, thank you. [00:21:35] This means the law. [00:21:37] Now, for those of you that are thinking something right now, well, that just means we can do whatever we want. No. [00:21:43] Grace requires more submission than law. [00:21:50] How many married folk I got in here? [00:21:55] How many married folk? All right. Do you love your partner? [00:21:58] How many times you do stuff you don't want to do? [00:22:01] That's called submission. [00:22:04] Hallelujah. Love is a choice. And love takes more surrender than sacrifice does. [00:22:13] It does. Because you're giving of yourself. [00:22:16] So when you surrender to the mercies of God, it doesn't mean you sin more, it means you surrender more. [00:22:24] Amen. [00:22:25] What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not. How shall we who died in sin live any longer in it? [00:22:34] We're not alive to sin. [00:22:37] Okay, I'm going to come Back. [00:22:41] So if it demands full obedience, then Romans 3:20 says this. [00:22:47] By the deeds of the law, no flesh will be justified in his sight. [00:22:53] Festival prayer. [00:22:58] For by the law is the knowledge of sin. [00:23:02] You cannot justify yourselves by the actions of religion. [00:23:11] The law reveals it, expose it, shows the problem, but does not justify it, does not remove guilt. It does not impart life. [00:23:21] And let's go a little further. Galatians 3:24 says, for those of you who have given up on me, stay with me. Come on, come back. [00:23:30] It says, therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to who? [00:23:36] Who's the center point? [00:23:38] Christ. Set your mark and high, calling towards who, Christ, that we might be justified. By what faith did it say law? [00:23:49] What did it say? Actions, grace, secured it so that faith would walk it. All you gotta do is two words, Only believe. [00:24:00] You know who said that first past Jesus. [00:24:04] It's a real recognizable person. Smith Wigglesworth. [00:24:10] The law reveals it. [00:24:12] Okay, so this is an important truth that I want to. [00:24:17] That I want to point out right here. If the law is your tutor that leads to Christ, the law was never meant to be the final answer. It was meant to bring us to the end of ourselves and to point to Jesus. [00:24:34] So if you're struggling with pornography, you're in sin. [00:24:39] If you're in this or you're in that, if you're that or this and all these other sins that we could talk about. If you're struggling in these things, it's because Christ is not your focus. [00:24:49] You're looking to your personal gratification, and you're justifying it by, I can't live up to the standard. [00:24:56] That's not faith. [00:24:58] That's just saying I can't. [00:25:00] He didn't leave us impotent. He gave us the Holy Spirit to be able to walk in the Spirit and not be subdued by the lust of the flesh. [00:25:08] Christ gave us everything we needed to succeed. [00:25:14] First the Father sent his Son, and then the Son left behind the Holy Spirit. And guess what? [00:25:19] There's no more excuses for sin. [00:25:23] You know, you have to actually want to sin now. [00:25:28] The devil made me do it. Liar. [00:25:31] The devil's putting temptation in my life. Nope. [00:25:34] You actually have to want it. [00:25:37] All right, I'm gonna stop. [00:25:39] This is not a sin message. Y' all feeling all right? [00:25:43] Okay. [00:25:45] The law showed us that if blessing demands my flawless obedience, then I'm in trouble. [00:25:53] Anybody been perfect today? [00:25:56] Anybody been perfect today? I need you. Because if you are, I need you to come preach. Anybody been perfect today? [00:26:01] You didn't get mad. You didn't get sad. [00:26:04] I mean, I had one of my homies in here said he saw angels, but I'm sure he's not perfect. [00:26:08] I had my sister say she saw angels, but I'm sure they're not. Is anybody perfect? [00:26:12] No. [00:26:14] But the law required perfection. [00:26:17] So who can provide it? [00:26:19] Only God. And who did it come through? Jesus. What did he give us so that we could walk a sinless life? The Holy Spirit. So what do we got to lay down? The flesh. And we got to walk in the what? The Spirit. [00:26:34] So, all right. Praise the Lord. [00:26:37] The flesh is confusing. [00:26:41] It's a hungry little animal. [00:26:43] It's like my little dog, Baymax. Doesn't matter how much I feed him the little fat squirrel. He just wants more food. [00:26:52] He'll spin in circles. And you're like, you're getting exercise. Here's another treat. [00:26:58] Yeah. [00:27:00] This is why the gospel is such good news. [00:27:07] Once the law had revealed holiness of God and exposed man's inability. [00:27:12] God does not leave us there. He does not leave us under the weight that we cannot carry. No. He sends his Son, which is in Christ, and then he gave us the Holy Spirit. God has done it. He has finished it through the work of Jesus and the implementation of the Holy Spirit in the believer, which is in Christ. [00:27:34] Galatians 3, 13, 14. [00:27:37] Now we gotta lay a foundation before we get to the hurrah. [00:27:41] So Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become the curse for us. For it is written. Cursed is everyone who hangs on the tree that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Jesus Christ that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through. [00:27:59] So is this message telling you to do nothing? [00:28:05] It's actually telling you to do more, to do less, but to be more. [00:28:14] I'm going to say that again. To do less, but to be more. [00:28:18] Be a Christian before you try and do Christianity. [00:28:23] Man, so many Christians are bulldogs. I question their salvation. Praise the Lord. Some of y' all probably look at me sometimes. Is Pastor mad? No, I'm just thinking. But I can understand. Faces tell stories. [00:28:36] Christianity is not attractive because we're telling everybody how wrong they are. [00:28:41] That was not the message of God. He said, turn ye from your wicked ways and live. The message from Old Testament to New Testament was about life giving God that would lead a people through trouble, into covenant and promise. [00:28:55] Amen. [00:28:56] And he said, in my covenant, I am the one that fulfills it. From the rainbow to the cross, he has always been the one to fulfill his covenant. [00:29:08] Even before Jesus. When that covenant was made with man, God made sure that it was fulfilled by his power. [00:29:17] It's never been about you. [00:29:20] It's been about you getting out of the way and giving glory to God. [00:29:24] Amen. [00:29:26] Oh my Jesus. [00:29:28] Okay, let's keep going. [00:29:31] This is why the gospel is such good news. [00:29:35] Once the law revealed the holiness of God, the one clearest new covenant statement in scripture is this that we just saw in Galatians 3, 13, 14. [00:29:52] Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law. [00:29:55] That means the believer is no longer living under the law's framework and trying to avoid the curse by performance. [00:30:02] Christ has redeemed us from the law. Go to verse 14. And we now receive the blessings of Abraham. [00:30:10] That means redemption is rescue from negative, it's entrance into positive. It's not only judgment that has been removed. Its blessing has been secured. [00:30:24] You know what happens in your life? [00:30:27] Security. [00:30:30] You'll talk yourself out of it. [00:30:34] You really do. [00:30:35] God gives you something so good and you talk yourself out of it. [00:30:42] He gives you a good job. You talk yourself out of it. [00:30:46] He gives you a good life. You talk yourself out of it. You know why? Because I'm just following God. [00:30:53] I'm going to try not to pick on people right now. [00:30:56] Listen, A life in God should look more stable. [00:31:11] It should just look more secure. [00:31:14] But because this person and that person and this and life and world economy and everything else is talking to us, we get oppressed and bogged down with the things of this world. And God is intervening with strength, peace and serenity. And we talk ourselves out of the one thing that God's providing. [00:31:38] Grace secures it. [00:31:40] Faith walks it out. [00:31:45] Well, prophet so and so said, well what did Jesus say? Because we don't actually need prophets other than to reveal Jesus and what he said in the gospel. And prophets are not soothsayers. I'm sorry, they're not meant to tell you how judgment's coming on the earth. Cause Revelation has already done that. [00:32:01] I'm a prophet. [00:32:02] And all these false prophets can go jump in a river because they're leading you away from Jesus. [00:32:08] They're making you focus on this and that. Covid is over people. Can I get. Can we get past the vax? [00:32:15] Amen. [00:32:17] Jesus is still on the throne. So is God. And the Holy Spirit's working in you. You're so caught up in controversy that you cannot see what God has done. [00:32:28] Sorry for the tangent. [00:32:31] So Paul doesn't stop here. [00:32:35] What we've received is secured. He says the blessings of Abraham have come upon us. Well, let's really just lock this in. [00:32:45] Ephesians 1:3. [00:32:49] Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places. [00:33:01] Philippians 4:19 says, he will supply all my needs according to his riches and glory. Another. [00:33:09] Another version of this One in Ephesians 1:3 says, all blessings that are in Christ Jesus. [00:33:19] He didn't say, if you perform well, he will supply your need. [00:33:25] He didn't say in Philippians 4:13 that if you this, then Christ Jesus will supply strength. [00:33:33] No, it's on your faith in Jesus. [00:33:42] Am I making sense here? [00:33:44] If your security is found on your belief systems that are not founded on the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, you will fail. [00:33:53] If your belief systems are founded on the recent podcast from so and so with the best new book, you're gonna fail. [00:34:01] Cause there's nothing new under the sun. [00:34:04] I can say things a hundred different ways, but God has said it a thousand times before I ever thought about it. [00:34:10] Amen. [00:34:12] So this changes everything. [00:34:15] It does not say God might bless you if you perform well enough. [00:34:19] It says he has blessed us with every spiritual blessing. In Christ who have you received? [00:34:28] Christ. [00:34:29] In Christ there is no confident person said that. In Christ there is no. [00:34:37] In Christ there is. What blessing? [00:34:40] In Christ there is no. [00:34:43] In Christ there is. [00:34:45] Okay, we're going to get one more time. In Christ there is no. [00:34:48] In Christ there is blessing. [00:34:51] Now say this with me. All spiritual blessings in heaven are mine. [00:35:04] Is he going to do it? Well, he's the God of the morning. Is he going to do it? He's the God on the hill. Is he going to do it? He's the God that cometh. Is he going to do it? He's the God of surprise. He is the God that is. [00:35:20] He's already come. [00:35:22] What are you waiting on, Pastor? Why are you so mad? [00:35:26] I'm sick of religion. [00:35:29] 25 years I've studied religion and man keeps messing up God's perspective. [00:35:36] We gotta follow the Spirit, man. We gotta read our word. Stop with your oogy, pookie. Midnight coconut visions. Amen. [00:35:46] They're good if they can be translated in the Spirit. [00:35:51] So under the law, the question was, have I obeyed enough to receive the blessing, but under grace, the question is, am I in Christ or am I in my flesh? [00:36:05] Insecurity comes. Don't you come up here yet. [00:36:09] Insecurity comes. [00:36:18] Give me five more minutes. [00:36:20] Insecurity comes. [00:36:23] Insecurity comes. When we walk away from our security. [00:36:29] If I put my security in my wife, man. I'll tell you what, she make me feel pretty secure. Like apple pie on a Sunday morning. Hallelujah. But it ain't going to last. [00:36:39] Her sweetness ain't gonna last. [00:36:41] She's gonna be like, go on, brother, go find yourself something to do. Amen. [00:36:46] But God's security never fails. Don't put your faith in man. Don't put your trust in man. Doesn't mean don't trust nobody. Cause everybody's the devil. No, it means put your everything in God. And be blessed by the some things that God has put in your life. [00:37:02] If you find a good woman, what did God say? [00:37:06] Amen, You've been blessed. [00:37:09] Can we find a scripture from men about how important we are? [00:37:13] Amen. [00:37:15] Amen. I'm just kidding. Romans 5:1 says this. Therefore having been what by what we have what with who through who. [00:37:28] Okay, one more time. Therefore having been what by what we have with who through who. [00:37:43] Now let me make this practical. [00:37:45] When you understand this blessing is secure in Christ, it changes the way you face life. In marriage, you're no longer fighting from insecurity. [00:37:53] In parenting, you're no longer leading from panic. [00:37:58] In work, you're no longer making decisions from fear. [00:38:01] In your inner life, you're no longer measuring God's nearness by your emotions. Now let me say it one last. Let me say this again because I felt like I may have said it fast. Cause one of those may have hit you. And I said four. [00:38:13] When we understand the blessing is secure in Christ, it changes how we face life. In our marriage, we're no longer fighting from insecurity. [00:38:22] In our parenting, we're no longer leading from panic. [00:38:26] In our jobs, we're no longer making every decision from fear. And in our inner life, our prayer life, our walk with God, we're no longer managing the way where God is or how near he is based on our emotions or opinions. [00:38:44] Sammy, I think you're right. There's gotta be a part two. [00:38:47] So now this is where balance matters. Grace does not produce careless people. Grace produces trusting people. Grace does not remove obedience. Grace changes, is the source of obedience. [00:39:06] Spiritual Kung Fu. Amen. [00:39:09] Grace does not remove obedience. Grace changes the source of obedience. Before we obeyed the law, now we obey. [00:39:20] Let's look at Titus 11:12. [00:39:24] For the grace of God that brings salvation will appear to all men. [00:39:28] Teaching us that denying ungodliness and worldly lust, we should live soberly, righteously and godly in the present age. What does it do? [00:39:37] Teaches the law, said Obey, but didn't show us how. Right. [00:39:41] The law said, obey, but didn't show us how. [00:39:44] Grace and the actions of the cross by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit became our teacher right when the law was our taskmaster. [00:39:58] I have a teacher. I can't quite figure out the equation. Okay, okay, Kyle, we know you a little slow, so here it is. That's what the Holy Spirit does. He comes where you are. He is where you are. He's inside of you. [00:40:12] Amen. Faith matters. Faith is not passive agreement. Faith responds to what God has done in Christ. Last two verses I'll give you today. And we're gonna go to part two next week we're gonna get to Pentecost knowing how to do it, not just coming for an experience, you know, oh, here's Pentecost Sunday. The angels gonna move. The Holy Spirit's gonna woo hoo, pray, Fire gonna come down. No, no, no, no. We gonna be in order and we gonna know exactly what we're doing. And God's gonna move so powerfully on that day because we have aligned ourself with what we've really received. [00:40:49] Hebrews 11:6 says, without faith it is impossible to please him. For he who comes to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him. So not only do you gotta believe, but you gotta seek. [00:41:04] Seek is not doubt. Seek is pursuit. But if you're going, hey, Tina, what did God say? Hey, Simon. Hey, you know what? [00:41:13] Can you tell me what God said? [00:41:15] Ryan, what did God say? Wait a minute, wait a minute. Tony, I still. What did God. I got about 15 versions of what God said wrapped in flesh. And have you ever played Chinese Whispers? [00:41:32] God done said 15 different things because he's speaking through muddy water. [00:41:38] This robe of flesh is only hearing in part and seeing in part. [00:41:43] Run to Jesus, the purest source, and say, jesus, link me through my salvation. [00:41:51] Holy Spirit, give me wisdom. May they be an innerness that shows me my path. [00:42:06] Now we must hold grace, faith and obedience in the right order, because 2 Corinthians says this. [00:42:14] 5, 7. [00:42:15] For we walk by faith, not by sight. [00:42:20] The world does not look very secure. [00:42:24] I thought buying a diesel truck would be the most secure choice. [00:42:31] I had great wisdom in this choice and in this season. [00:42:36] I have great confidence that we will be driving my wife's car most places. [00:42:41] But that doesn't change my faith. [00:42:46] We're not saying that under grace you do nothing. [00:42:50] No, we trust in what God has done through his Son and the Leading of the Holy Spirit. We yield to the Spirit. [00:42:58] We respond to the Word. We walk by faith. And faith does not compete with grace. Faith receives what grace supplies. [00:43:08] Today. [00:43:11] God said, kyle, you're gonna be very teachy for the next few weeks. [00:43:18] I said, lord, that just ain't my space. Get Timmy, get Jeremy, get somebody else. Get Tina. He said, no. [00:43:26] Surrender. [00:43:28] Be secure. [00:43:29] See, I'm a fixer, folks. I want to get in your life and I want to work on it like a little time clock, you know? [00:43:36] You know what God's had me do with most of you here recently? [00:43:40] Release you and say, God, you lead them. [00:43:43] Holy Spirit, you teach them. [00:43:46] Because my words will just confuse them. [00:43:49] They need you. [00:43:51] I've been saying, hey, you know what you need? [00:43:55] A connection to heaven. [00:43:57] You know what you need to be still. You know what you need to be still and know that he is God. You know what you need? You need to trust in the Father that supplies for his children and he does not leave us begging for bread. [00:44:11] You know what you need? You need to smile. Because you may be in the midst of the biggest storm of your life, not knowing what to do, but God is with you. [00:44:23] Let him keep leading you and every little person that tries to give, even me, thank you for saying that. [00:44:33] It just doesn't confirm with the spirit of God. [00:44:40] Follow the peace that passes understanding. [00:44:46] Be secure in what God has said. What's the last thing he said to you? [00:44:49] Not the last thing the prophet said to you. Not the last thing that little convention said to you. [00:44:55] Honey, if I listened to the last person that prophesied over me, I'd be leading the biggest young adults church in Greenville, South Carolina, and I wouldn't be here. [00:45:05] I'd be in Papua New guinea right now. Another prophecy, doing a prison ministry. [00:45:13] My goodness, I'd be in politics. Based off of what somebody else said. Could you imagine me as a politician? [00:45:19] No. Jesus, help them all. [00:45:22] The last thing that someone said to you needs to line up with what God said to you. [00:45:32] You know, God said a few things to you. [00:45:35] You have received a word over your life that is from God. [00:45:41] But life is challenging it. [00:45:44] Opportunity is challenging it. [00:45:48] You've put it in people's faces, places, destinations. No. Put one foot in front of the other. Know that grace secured it. Faith walks it. In the beginning of the journey, when you were crossing that little wobbly bridge, it was like, man, we gonna get to the other side. [00:46:04] You got in the middle and that thing began to shake, rattle and roll. Some planks began to fall Out. You said, oh, Lord Jesus, is this really the way I'm supposed to go? Just cause the wheels and the brakes fell off too, doesn't mean God ain't in control of the vehicle. [00:46:17] Take the next step. [00:46:19] Take the next step. [00:46:21] Take the next step. Father, we thank you this morning that as we walk through this season of harvest festival, this season of weeks, that we are living the time in which Jesus said, go unto Jerusalem and tarry there for a while. [00:46:38] And God is speaking to many people. Be still and know that I am God. This season in your life is lining up with a calendar of God. [00:46:48] And you just gotta be still. [00:46:51] Don't rush it. [00:46:52] Enjoy the journey. [00:46:55] Soon, very soon, the God of surprise for you is gonna be a surprise. But soon, very soon, things are gonna shift and it's gonna go into sixth gear. But right now, you're in first gear. You just gotta hold there. [00:47:11] Just hold there. [00:47:13] Just hold there. [00:47:16] Just hold, hold. [00:47:18] Don't move. Be still and know that he's God. [00:47:22] Be still and know he's God. Because the devil will drive you while God is guiding you. Be still. [00:47:31] Does that decision really need your yes and amen today? No. [00:47:36] That decision that some of you are in is requiring time. [00:47:41] It needs to marinate, it needs to mature. [00:47:45] Don't let some other cook get in the kitchen. [00:47:48] Amen. Let God move. [00:47:51] Some of you have angels on assignment for your behalf because what you're doing is going to impact communities and regions. [00:48:02] Some of you, God's hand has touched you. We're all anointed. But God has placed a special appointment for a season in time. [00:48:13] And this moment in life is to mature in Christ and know who you are. [00:48:18] And then bam. The next thing's going to happen. [00:48:23] Leave the things that are for later for later. For they have their own evil in the next day. [00:48:28] Live today seeking the counsel of today. [00:48:34] Amen. [00:48:36] Father, we thank you. It's in Jesus name we pray and we all say Amen. [00:48:42] Never take counsel from somebody that ain't been where you're going. [00:48:47] Everything I'm saying to you is not just a sermonette. It's lived life. [00:48:52] I've been through lymphoma with Josiah. [00:48:55] I've been through trouble and trial with all three kids with just the challenges of life, not their actions, but actions against them. [00:49:03] I've had this church come under scrutiny because of who people think we're attached to. I've had scrutiny just because of my accent. [00:49:12] But for 25 years, never have I found so much scrutiny in actually reading the Bible and Revealing the truth. [00:49:21] So these things that I minister to you today are not pretty catchphrases. They're lived experience with the Holy Spirit. [00:49:29] So Father, we thank you that today we receive abundantly. Revelation, wisdom, knowledge for our next steps. Not of man, but of you. May we seek your face and your counsel. [00:49:42] May we realize that you speak in a whisper, in a moment. [00:49:46] And the way to turn the noise down is to turn the thinking down. [00:49:51] So we thank you Father, for your words. As we enter into fellowship Sunday, it's in Jesus name I pray. [00:50:00] Amen and amen. Give the Lord a hand clap of praise. [00:50:07] I promise you. I just have the second half of this message next week. I'll be as short or as long as the Lord requires. [00:50:16] Guys, we're in an important season in this church. [00:50:21] You can call it God's moving. No, I believe the people are unifying. [00:50:27] And as we go into fellowship Sunday. [00:50:30] Yeah. Are you supposed to do these? [00:50:33] Okay. Are you okay if I do it? Yeah. [00:50:37] As we go into the next season of our church, it's important that we get in where God's talking and where God's leading. We're not just doing programs and trying to find a different building and all this stuff that God's leading us to just cause we need to be busy or we ain't got nothing to do. [00:50:55] We're doing this because the Spirit is leading in unity. And where unity is, God commands a blessing. That's right. [00:51:02] So Alpha is a course that we do. It's a foundational course. [00:51:07] It's video. It's, it's, it's very. What would you call it? [00:51:11] Conversational. Yeah, it's one on one foundational. And it's very one on one. And it's something we're going to be doing April 29th online at 7pm to 8pm if we have a lot of signups, we'll move it into a location. [00:51:27] Evangelism equipping night, Monday 20th April at 6.30pm Tony will be leading that. [00:51:37] Jeremy, you want to tell us a little bit about that? What's going to happen on that day? [00:51:42] Come together, break bread, talk about how to share our faith, how to live it out, how to be a witness. [00:51:46] Amen. [00:51:49] So fellowship Sunday is today. [00:51:53] Some of the notes Jeremy has down here is grace produces trusting people. Grace doesn't remove obedience. Grace changes the source of obedience. [00:52:02] So as we pray over this food today, as we enter into our conversations in our fellowship, Lord, I thank you for the opportunity to be a minister of the gospel, to speak words in love and truth as compassionately as I can. [00:52:25] Lord, thank you for my desire to see people walk in fullness and not confusion. [00:52:33] God, you have prepared such a banquet before us that even your word has newness to me after 25 years every day. [00:52:43] Thank you for the freshness of your spirit. [00:52:47] Thank you for the leading, the love that we receive from the Father. [00:52:54] We thank you for the obedience of the Son. [00:52:57] Lord, I thank you more than anything. [00:53:01] I thank you that through your sacrifice I'm able to even mention these words to you. [00:53:12] How much I take for granted just being able to talk to you. [00:53:17] Somebody had to do it for me. [00:53:22] I couldn't even do it for myself. [00:53:25] Somebody had to get a rope attached to themself and go talk to you. Lord how blessed am I just to talk to you and how much time I talked about. Lord, put a desire in us to take time to talk to you about every moment, every decision and let you lead us and guide us because your grace, your love draws us so close. [00:53:51] It's in Jesus name we pray and we all say Amen. [00:53:56] Amen. Give the Lord a hand clap of praise. [00:54:00] Thank you for tuning in to today's message.
